French Creek State Park

The Hopewell Big Woods is the largest contiguous forest in southeastern Pennsylvania. Spanning northern Chester County and southern Berks County, the region is approximately 73,000 acres or 114 square miles. Most of the forest is located in the Schuylkill River watershed.

Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site in southeastern Berks County, near Elverson, Pennsylvania, is an example of an American 19th century rural iron plantation, whose operations were based around a charcoal-fired cold-blast iron blast furnace. The significant restored structures include the furnace group (blast furnace, water wheel, blast machinery, cast house and charcoal house), as well as the ironmaster's house, a company store, the blacksmith's shop, a barn and several worker's houses. Hopewell Furnace was founded about 1771 by ironmaster Mark Bird, son of William Bird, who had been one of Pennsylvania's most prominent ironmasters. The site's most prosperous time was during the 1820-1840 period with a brief return to significant production during the American Civil War. In the mid-19th century, changes in iron making, including a shift from charcoal-fueled furnaces to anthracite-fueled steel mills, rendered smaller furnaces like Hopewell obsolete. The site discontinued operations in 1883. In 1938, the property was designated Hopewell Village National Historic Site under the authority of the Historic Sites Act, thereby becoming one of the earliest cultural units of the National Park System. Today, Hopewell Furnace consists of 14 restored structures, 52 features on the List of Classified Structures, and a total of 848 mostly wooded acres. Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site is located in the Hopewell Big Woods and bordered by French Creek State Park on three sides and State Game Lands 43 on the south side, which preserves the lands the furnace utilized for its natural resources.

The North Warwick Historic and Archeological District is a national historic district that is located in Warwick Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Pennsylvania State Game Lands Number 43 are Pennsylvania State Game Lands in Berks and Chester Counties in Pennsylvania in the United States providing hunting, bird watching, and other activities. It is the only State Game Lands located in Chester County.

Daniel Boone Area High School is located in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, part of the Daniel Boone Area School District in south-eastern Berks County. The sports and academic teams compete as the "Blazers", and the school colors are Carolina blue and white. As of the 2017–2018 school year, there were 1,143 students enrolled at the school.

Geigertown is an unincorporated community in Berks County, Pennsylvania.Geigertown is located within both Union Township and Robeson Township along Hay Creek Road (Former Pennsylvania Route 82) from Geigertown Road to Fire Tower Road. It is also home to the Geigertown Central Railroad Museum off Geigertown Road.

Geiger Mill is a historic grist mill located in Robeson Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. The mill was built in 1783, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, with basement, banked stucco-over-stone building. The adjacent miller's house was built about 1783, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, stucco-over-stone dwelling. Also on the property is a contributing one-story, stucco-over-stone smokehouse. The mill ceased operations about 1919.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

St. Mary's Episcopal Church, also known as Old Saint Mary's Church, is a historic Episcopal church located on Warwick Road, Warwick Township in Elverson, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The church was built in 1843, and is a one-story, rectangular stuccoed fieldstone structure in the Gothic Revival style. It measures 50 feet wide and 70 feet deep. The church is surrounded by the parish cemetery, with burials dating to 1806.Founded by the Rev. Levi Bull, DD, in 1805, the first church here was built in 1806. J.F. Sachse, of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, believed it to be the first church built in Pennsylvania after the American Revolution. A notable military officer Samuel Van Leer played an important role in the American Revolutionary War and is buried here. Dr. Bull continued to minister to the congregation here for almost 50 years. During Dr. Bull's tenure, in 1843, the original church was replaced by the present structure. By the 1970s, the congregation had fallen to about ten attendees. However, the congregation was revived in the 1990s by financial support from the Brandywine Deanery and adopted elements of the charismatic movement under the rectorate of the Rev. John Maher.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Warwick is an unincorporated community in northwestern Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located in Warwick Township just west of its municipal building. Routes 23 and 345 meet in the village, which serves as a gateway to French Creek State Park. Warwick is drained by the French Creek eastward into the Schuylkill River. It is served by the Elverson post office, which uses the zip code of 19520. [1] The community was named after Warwick, England, the ancestral home of an early settler.

The Edward Brooke II Mansion (1887–88), also known as "Brookeholm," is a Queen Anne country house at 301 Washington Street in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania.: 284  Designed by architect Frank Furness and completed in 1888, it was Edward Brooke II's wedding present to his bride, Anne Louise Clingan.: 60 Five years later, Edward II himself designed a major addition to the mansion.: 224  Following their parents' deaths, the Brooke children sold the property in the 1940s.: 225  The mansion served as a nursing home for thirty years, and recently as a bed and breakfast.: 225 The property spent fourteen years on and off the real estate market, before being sold at auction on September 29, 2018, for $572,000.

Monocacy Creek is a 13.0-mile-long (20.9 km) tributary of the Schuylkill River in Berks County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Monocacy Creek joins the Schuylkill at Monocacy Station. Monocacy is a name derived from a Native American language purported to mean "stream with large beds".
