Letná Stadion (Zlín)

Zlín (in 1949–1989 Gottwaldov; Czech pronunciation: [zliːn]; German: Zlin) is a city in the Czech Republic. It has about 74,000 inhabitants. It is the seat of the Zlín Region and it lies on the Dřevnice river. It is known as an industrial centre. The development of the modern city is closely connected to the Bata Shoes company and its social scheme, developed after World War I. A large part of Zlín is urbanistically and architecturally valuable and is protected by law as an urban monument zone.

Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU), (Czech Univerzita Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně), is a Czech public university in the Moravian city of Zlín, comprising six faculties offering courses in technology, economics, humanities, arts and health care. The university was named after the entrepreneur Tomáš Baťa, the founder of the shoe industry in Zlín. With a current student population of more than 9,200, TBU is among the medium-sized Czech universities.

Tomas Bata Memorial (Czech: Památník Tomáše Bati) is functionalist building in Zlín, Czech Republic built in 1933. The Memorial was designed by the Czech architect František Lydie Gahura.

Baťa's Skyscraper, also known as Building No. 21, is a skyscraper in Zlín, Czech Republic. It is 77.5 metres high and has sixteen floors. It was the administration building of the Bata Shoes factory, a company that was based in the city. Now it is headquarters of the Zlín Region. This building was one of the first high-rise buildings to be constructed in Europe: it was the third-tallest pre-war skyscraper after Madrid's Telefónica Building and Antwerp's Boerentoren. The building is in the style of Constructivist architecture, designed by Vladimír Karfík. It was built between 1936 and 1938 at the direction of company president Jan Antonín Baťa, who took over following the death of his half-brother Tomáš Baťa. Originally, the administration offices were to be concentrated in three interconnected three-story buildings. Architect Karfík suggested the design of a high-rise building and eventually got Jan Antonín Baťa's support for his idea.

Zimní stadion Luďka Čajky is an indoor sporting arena located in Zlín, Czech Republic. The capacity of the arena is 7,000 people and was built in 1957. It was named after Zlín hockey player Ludek Čajka, who was fatally wounded during a game in Košice. It is currently home to the PSG Berani Zlín ice hockey team.

Březnice is a municipality and village in Zlín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,400 inhabitants. Březnice lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south of Zlín and 254 km (158 mi) south-east of Prague.

Fryšták (German: Freistadtl) is a town in Zlín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,800 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone.

Zlín Zoo (Zoologická zahrada Zlín) is a zoological garden in Zlín in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It is located by the Lešná Castle, situated about 10 km from the centre of the city. It is the second most-visited zoo in the country, and as of 2020, it was overall the fifth most visited tourist destination in the country.

Racková is a municipality and village in Zlín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 900 inhabitants. Racková lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north-west of Zlín and 248 km (154 mi) east of Prague.

Zlín Region (Czech: Zlínský kraj) is an administrative unit (Czech: kraj) of the Czech Republic, located in the south-eastern part of the historical region of Moravia. It is named after its capital Zlín. Together with the Olomouc Region it forms a cohesion area of Central Moravia. It is located in the eastern part of the Czech Republic, where the borders with Slovakia (Trenčín and Žilina Regions) are formed by its eastern edge. It borders the South Moravian Region in the southwest, the Olomouc Region in the northwest and the Moravian-Silesian Region in the north. Culturally, the region is composed of parts of three traditional Moravian regions: Haná, the Moravian Slovakia and the Moravian Wallachia, as the city of Zlín lies roughly at their tripoint.

Lukoveček is a municipality and village in Zlín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 500 inhabitants. Lukoveček lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Zlín and 250 km (160 mi) east of Prague.

Malenovice is a castle located in the Malenovice part of the city of Zlín in the Czech Republic. It was built in the second half of the 14th century.
