The Huguenot Schoolhouse, also known as District Schoolhouse No. 3, the 1863 Schoolhouse and the Town of Deerpark Museum, is located on South Grange Road a short distance from US 209 in Huguenot, a hamlet of the Town of Deerpark in Orange County, New York, United States. It was built in 1863, and is a large, one-story, Greek Revival style masonry building. It closed as a school in 1961, and currently serves as a local historic museum. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997, the only property in the town of Deerpark so recognized besides the remnants of the Delaware and Hudson Canal.

Neversink Valley Grange Hall No. 1530 is a historic Grange meeting hall located in Huguenot, Orange County, New York. It was built in 1934, and is a one-story with raised basement, rectangular wood-frame building with a medium pitched front gable roof. It has a projecting entry block that includes a vestibule and stairs to the upper and lower levels. In addition to a Grange hall, the building served as an early community center. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

The Neversink Preserve is located in Deerpark, Orange County, New York. It was created in 1993 by The Nature Conservancy. They purchased 170 acres (69 ha) of land on the Neversink River and created the Neversink Preserve in order to protect the newly discovered and federally endangered species of mussel, the dwarf wedge mussel. Over time they have purchased more land so that the Neversink Preserve covers 550 acres (220 ha). Theodore Gordon, considered the father of modern American fly-fishing, perfected his dry-fly techniques here in the 19th century. Nearly 15 million people rely on the waters of the Delaware River Basin for drinking water and industrial use, making the Neversink Preserve a top priority of The Nature Conservancy.

Cejwin Camps was a Jewish summer camp in the Catskill Mountains, established in 1919 by the Central Jewish Institute. At its height it was "the most significant non-Hebrew Jewish cultural camp."

Basher Kill is a stream in Orange and Sullivan counties in the U.S. state of New York. It is a tributary to the Neversink River.The stream headwaters are at 41°35′10″N 74°27′58″W and elevation of approximately 540 feet in Sullivan County just north of Wurtsboro and connected to the Delaware and Hudson Canal. The stream flows to the southwest paralleling U.S. Route 209 passing under New York Route 17 southeast of Wurtsboro. The stream enters Orange County at the village of Westbrookville. The stream continues to the southwest crossing under New York Route 211 to its confluence with the Neversink River at 41°26′58″N 74°35′35″W at an elevation of 459 feet. The confluence is just northeast of the community of Myers Grove.Basher Kill was named after Bashee, a local Native American woman. Many variant spellings have been recorded, including "Ba-sha Kill", "Basha's Kill", "Basher's Kill", "Bashers Kil", Bashers Kill", and "Bashes Kil".The stream flows through Basha Kill Wildlife Management Area, a manmade wetland maintained by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) as a New York State Wildlife Management Area. The NYSDEC built a dam along the watercourse in the 1970s to preserve the Basha Kill and its wildlife.

Dragon Springs, also known as The Mountain, is a 427-acre (1.73 km2) compound in Deerpark, New York, US that serves as the headquarters of the global Falun Gong new religious movement and the Shen Yun performance arts troupe. Falun Gong founder and leader Li Hongzhi lives near the compound, as do hundreds of Falun Gong adherents. Members of Shen Yun live and rehearse in the compound, which also has an orphanage, schools and temples.

Port Jervis High School (PJHS or "Port") is a public high school in Deerpark, New York, with a Port Jervis postal address. A part of Port Jervis City School District, it is on U.S. Route 209, sharing a property with Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School. Andrew Marotta, former principal of Port Jervis High, wrote a book about his experiences, The Principal, Surviving and Thriving: 125 Points of Wisdom, Practical Tips, and Relatable Stories for all School Principals. Its zone includes Port Jervis and sections of Deerpark, including Sparrow Bush, in Orange County. It also serves sections of Forestburgh and Mamakating in Sullivan County.

Cuddebackville is a hamlet in the town of Deerpark, located in Orange County, New York, United States. Taking US-209, Its location is about ten miles (16 km) north of Port Jervis. Cuddebackville is home to Hamilton Bicentennial Elementary School which is run by the Port Jervis City School District. This hamlet is also home to D&H Canal Park and The Neversink River Unique Area. The hamlet was named after William Cuddeback, a general from The War of 1812 and a descendant of the Cuddeback family, one of the first families to settle in the area.The Cuddebackville Dam was a dam that was located in Cuddebackville. This dam was built in the 1820s and expanded on in 1903. In October 2004, the dam was removed by the Army Corps of Engineers to help aquatic life in the area.According to the Census Bureau, the center of population in New York is located within the hamlet of Cuddebackville.Cuddebackville also is home to the global headquarters of the Falun Gong movement and the Shen Yun performance arts troupe.

Greenville is a town in Orange County, New York, United States, located along the southern county and state line. The population was 4,689 at the 2020 census. Unique among Orange County towns, Greenville has neither cities nor villages, and most of the communities are small clusters of houses. (Residents of the town get their mail through the Port Jervis or Middletown post office.) Greenville is near Exit 4 off Interstate 84, which features the town's firehouse and a few other businesses.

Port Jervis is a city located at the confluence of the Neversink and Delaware rivers in western Orange County, New York, United States, north of the Delaware Water Gap. Its population was 8,775 at the 2020 census. The communities of Deerpark, Huguenot, Sparrowbush, and Greenville are adjacent to Port Jervis. Matamoras, Pennsylvania, is across the river and connected by the Mid-Delaware Bridge. Montague Township, New Jersey, also borders the city. The Tri-States Monument, marking the tripoint between New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, lies at the southwestern corner of the city. Port Jervis was part of early industrial history, a point for shipping coal to major markets to the southeast by canal and later by railroads. Its residents had long-distance passenger service by railroad until 1970. The restructuring of railroads resulted in a decline in the city's business and economy.In the 21st century, from late spring to early fall, many thousands of travelers and tourists pass through Port Jervis on their way to enjoying rafting, kayaking, canoeing and other activities in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River and the surrounding area. Port Jervis is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown metropolitan area as well as the larger New York metropolitan area. In August 2008, Port Jervis was named one of "Ten Coolest Small Towns" by Budget Travel magazine.

The U.S. Post Office in Port Jervis, New York, serves the 12771 ZIP Code. This covers all of the city of Port Jervis and adjoining portions of the Town of Deer Park. It is located downtown, at 20 Sussex St. The building was designed by Oscar Wenderoth in the early 1920s in a Colonial Revival style of brick and mortar. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. In 2007, the United States Congress enacted legislation introduced by Rep. John Hall to rename the building the E. Arthur Gray Post Office Building, after E. Arthur Gray, mayor of Port Jervis from 1978–88.

The Port Jervis station is a disused train station at the corner of Jersey Avenue and Fowler Street in Port Jervis, New York. It was built in 1892 as a passenger station for the Erie Railroad by Grattan & Jennings in the Queen Anne style. For years it was the busiest passenger station on the railroad's Delaware Branch because Port Jervis is along the Delaware River near the tripoint of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The long-distance passenger trains Erie Limited and the Lake Cities between Chicago and Hoboken served this station.The decline in passenger rail traffic in the mid-20th century, after many people had switched to automobile travel on the federally subsidized highways, resulted in the termination of passenger service between Port Jervis and Binghamton in 1970. Local commuter service to Hoboken was taken over by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Metro-North Railroad shortly thereafter. Rather than using the Erie Depot, Metro-North built a minimalist station of its own. It had a parking lot for passengers' cars, a shelter, and a street-level concrete platform. The original station declined in condition (along with the city). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 as the Erie Railroad Station. Since then it has been renovated. It houses several small shops on the street side.
