Sir Simon Milton Westminster UTC, simply referred to as Westminster UTC, was a 14–19 university technical college (UTC) in the Pimlico area of Westminster in London. As a UTC, it specialised in STEM subjects, particularly transport engineering, construction, and the built environment.The University Technical College offered academic and technical qualifications in maths, science or engineering, for students interested in careers in the transport and built environment industries. It was established by the Sir Simon Milton Foundation in honour of the late Simon Milton, and it was supported in a partnership with the University of Westminster, City of Westminster College, Network Rail, Landsec, Sir Robert McAlpine, Alstom, BT Fleet, Colas Rail, Westminster City Council and Transport for London. It was built on the assumption that it would attract 550 students. By May 2021 it was over two-thirds empty. Andrew Christie, the chair of the governors announced it would not take any new students in September 2021, which would result in its closure. The UTC was still in its period of exemption from inspection, so no Ofsted report has been published.The UTC formally closed at the end of August 2022.

The Chelsea Barracks bombing was an attack carried out by a London-based Active Service Unit (ASU) of the Provisional IRA on 10 October 1981, using a remote-controlled nail bomb. The bomb targeted a bus carrying British Army soldiers just outside Chelsea Barracks. The blast killed two civilians and injured 40 people, among them 23 soldiers.

Grosvenor Canal was a canal in the Pimlico area of London, opened in 1824. It was progressively shortened, as first the railways to Victoria Station and then the Ebury Bridge housing estate were built over it. It remained in use until 1995, enabling barges to be loaded with refuse for removal from the city, making it the last canal in London to operate commercially. A small part of it remains among the Grosvenor Waterside development.

The Lister Hospital in Chelsea is a private hospital in Chelsea Bridge Road, London. It is owned by the Hospital Corporation of America, the largest private operator of health care facilities in the world, and so is not part of the National Health Service (NHS).

Grosvenor Road station was a railway station in London located at the north end of Grosvenor Bridge on the approach tracks to Victoria station. Victoria station was originally operated as two separate parts served by the London, Chatham and Dover Railway (LC&DR) and the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway (LB&SCR) and Grosvenor Road station was also operated in this way. The LC&DR station operated between 1867 and 1911 and the LB&SCR station operated between 1870 and 1907. The station building of the LC&DR station remains on the eastern side of the tracks adjacent to Grosvenor Road (A3212) although no platforms remain at the elevated track level.

The National Audit Office (NAO) is an independent Parliamentary body in the United Kingdom which is responsible for auditing central government departments, government agencies and non-departmental public bodies. The NAO also carries out value for money (VFM) audits into the administration of public policy.

Gareth Wyn Williams (26 September 1978 – c. 16 August 2010) was a Welsh mathematician and Junior Analyst for GCHQ seconded to the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS or MI6) who was found dead in suspicious circumstances at a Security Service safe house flat in Pimlico, London, on 23 August 2010. The inquest found that his death was "unnatural and likely to have been criminally mediated." A subsequent Metropolitan Police re-investigation concluded that Williams's death was "probably an accident".Two senior British police sources have said some of Williams's work was focused on Russia – and one confirmed reports that he had been helping the US National Security Agency trace international money-laundering routes that are used by organised crime groups including Moscow-based mafia cells.

The Church of St Barnabas is a Church of England parish church in Pimlico, London. It is a Grade I listed building. The church is noted for its Anglo-Catholic tradition, and it "was the first church built in England where the ideals and beliefs of what came to be known as Anglo-Catholic movement were embodied in its architecture and liturgy".

Grosvenor Bridge, originally known as, and alternatively called Victoria Railway Bridge, is a railway bridge over the River Thames in London, between Vauxhall Bridge and Chelsea Bridge. Originally constructed in 1860, and widened in 1865 and 1907, the bridge was extensively rebuilt and widened again in the 1960s as an array of ten parallel bridges.

Chelsea Bridge is a bridge over the River Thames in west London, connecting Chelsea on the north bank to Battersea on the south bank, and split between the City of Westminster, the London Borough of Wandsworth and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. There have been two Chelsea Bridges, on the site of what was an ancient ford. The first Chelsea Bridge was proposed in the 1840s as part of a major development of marshlands on the south bank of the Thames into the new Battersea Park. It was a suspension bridge intended to provide convenient access from the densely populated north bank to the new park. Although built and operated by the government, tolls were charged initially in an effort to recoup the cost of the bridge. Work on the nearby Chelsea Embankment delayed construction and so the bridge, initially called Victoria Bridge, did not open until 1858. Although well-received architecturally, as a toll bridge it was unpopular with the public, and Parliament felt obliged to make it toll-free on Sundays. The bridge was less of a commercial success than had been anticipated, partly because of competition from the newly built Albert Bridge nearby. It was acquired by the Metropolitan Board of Works in 1877, and the tolls were abolished in 1879. The bridge was narrow and structurally unsound, leading the authorities to rename it Chelsea Bridge to avoid the Royal Family's association with a potential collapse. In 1926 it was proposed that the old bridge be rebuilt or replaced, due to the increased volume of users from population growth, and the introduction of the automobile. It was demolished during 1934–1937, and replaced by the current structure, which opened in 1937. The new bridge was the first self-anchored suspension bridge in Britain, and was built entirely with materials sourced from within the British Empire. During the early 1950s it became popular with motorcyclists, who staged regular races across the bridge. One such meeting in 1970 erupted into violence, resulting in the death of one man and the imprisonment of 20 others. Chelsea Bridge is floodlit from below during the hours of darkness, when the towers and cables are illuminated by 936 feet (285 m) of light-emitting diodes. In 2008 it achieved Grade II listed status. In 2004 a footbridge was opened beneath the southern span, carrying the Thames Path under the bridge.

Roussillon was a restaurant on 16 St Barnabas Street in the Pimlico district of London. It held a Michelin star from 2000 until 2011. The restaurant's name comes from the village in the Lubéron rather than the Catalan region.As of June 2012 the restaurant has ceased trading.The restaurant was named by Chef Alexis Gauthier after acquiring it in 1997 in partnership with James Palmer and his brother Andrew, who had made their money from the New Covent Garden Soup Company. It had previously been named Marabel's, but new ownership, combined with the confusion of Marco Pierre White's new restaurant Mirabelle's, opening in the same week, prompted the name change. Roussillon has held its Michelin star since 2000.The restaurant offers a blend of French cuisine with British seasonal vegetables. Favourite dishes include Blue Bembridge Lobster, Colchester Oysters, wild rabbit from the North Downs and Scottish venison. The herbs and vegetables are freshly picked each morning in Surrey.It was the first restaurant to introduce a "garden" menu degustation for vegetarians, which made the news for its 5–course Flower Menu of petals and floral essences coinciding with the Chelsea Flower Show. In 2005, Roussillon dropped chicken from the menu in response to the 2005 bird flu outbreak. Roussillon was the first restaurant ever reviewed by Giles Coren, in Tatler magazine.Chefs who have worked in the kitchen of Roussillon include Frederic Chabbert of Petrus, Kuala Lumpur, Chatree Kachornklin of La Table de Tee in Bangkok, and Alexis Gauthier. Gauthier is due to launch a new restaurant at Lindsay House with Roberto Della Pietra, the previous head sommelier at Roussillon. Gauthier will retain his share of ownership in Roussillon.Roussillon's residence itself was previously built after World War II bombing.

Chelsea Barracks was a British Army barracks located in the City of Westminster, London, between the districts of Belgravia, Chelsea and Pimlico on Chelsea Bridge Road. The barracks closed in the late 2000s, and the site is currently being redeveloped for residential use by Qatari Diar, a subsidiary of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA).
