The Marikina–Infanta Highway (also known as Marilaque Highway and Marikina–Infanta Road; formerly known under President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.'s regime as Marikina Diversion Road, and later Marcos Highway) is a 117.5-kilometer (73.0 mi) highway that connects Quezon City, Metro Manila with Infanta, Quezon in the Philippines. The Marikina–Infanta Highway starts at the intersection with N11/Circumferential Road 5/Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City, near its boundary with Marikina, as a physical continuation of N59/Aurora Boulevard. It traverses the Marikina Valley as a divided highway and passes through Antipolo, intersecting the Sumulong Highway at Masinag Junction. N59 exits the road to run along Sumulong Highway. After Masinag, the road ascends towards the Sierra Madre mountain range as an undivided highway passing through Tanay, Santa Maria in Laguna, and terminating in Infanta in Quezon.

The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Joseph, also known as Baras Church, is a Roman Catholic church located in Baras, Rizal, Philippines, where the miraculous centuries-old image of San Jose de Baras (Spanish: El Glorioso Patriarca Señor San José de Baras) is enshrined. The church is known to be the oldest parish dedicated to Saint Joseph in the Southern Tagalog Region.

Saint Ildefonsus of Toledo Parish Church (Spanish: Iglesia Parroquial de San Ildefonso de Toledo), commonly known as the Tanay Church, is a Roman Catholic church located in the town of Tanay, Rizal in the Philippines. The construction of the present church was begun in 1773 and was completed after ten years in 1783. In 2001, it was declared as a National Cultural Treasure Church by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. It is also among the seven Jubilee churches of the Diocese of Antipolo.

Baras, officially the Municipality of Baras (Tagalog: Bayan ng Baras), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Rizal, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 87,637 people.Baras is 32 kilometres (20 mi) from Antipolo and 49 kilometres (30 mi) from Manila.

A tourist bus carrying 50 passengers, mostly students from Bestlink College of the Philippines in Quezon City who were on a field trip, lost its brakes and crashed into an electricity pole in Tanay, Rizal, killing 15 passengers including the driver. The accident uncovered lax regulations on safety of students on educational trips in the Philippines and prompted the Commission on Higher Education and Department of Education to issue moratoriums on field trips for the 2016–17 school year. After the moratorium, stricter guidelines on off-campus activities were imposed.

Tanay, officially the Municipality of Tanay (Tagalog: Bayan ng Tanay IPA: [tɐˈnaɪ]), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Rizal, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 139,420 people.Tanay is located 37 kilometres (23 mi) from Antipolo and 54 kilometres (34 mi) from Manila. It contains portions of the Sierra Madre Mountains and is bordered by Antipolo in the north-west, Baras, Morong and Teresa in the west, General Nakar (Quezon Province) in the east, and Pililla, Santa Maria (Laguna province) as well as the lake Laguna de Bay in the south. It is the epicenter of the Tanay Tagalog dialect, which has the deepest modern Tagalog words in the Tagalog language and is the only endangered Tagalog dialect.

The "Pililla, Rizal" Wind Energy Service Contract granted to Alternergy Philippine Holdings Corporation (APHC) covers an area of 4,515 hectares under Department of Energy WESC NO. 2009-09-018. This Wind Energy Service Contract (WESC) has two phases, Pililla Wind Power Project under WESC NO. 2009-09-018-AF1 and the Mt. Sembrano Wind Power Project under WESC NO. 2009-09-018-AP2.

The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Mary Magdalene (Filipino: Pangdiyosesis na Dambana at Parokya ni Santa Maria Magdalena and Simbahan ng Pililla), also known as Pililla Church, is a Roman Catholic church located in the municipality of Pillila, Province of Rizal, Philippines. The church was built by the Franciscans in 1583, under the patronage of Saint Mary Magdalene. It is a few kilometers away from San Ildefonso Parish Church, a historical church in Tanay. On January 16, 1977, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines unveiled the historical marker of St. Mary Magdalene Parish Church.On July 22, 2018, the parish church was declared a diocesan shrine.
