Gorsgoch

Aber, Ceredigion is a hamlet in the community of Llanwenog, Ceredigion, Wales. Aber is represented in the Senedd by Elin Jones (Plaid Cymru) and is part of the Ceredigion constituency in the House of Commons.

Cwrtnewydd, or Cwrt-newydd, or Cwrt Newydd, is a village in the community and parish of Llanwenog, towards the south of the county of Ceredigion, Wales. Cwrtnewydd is on the B4338 road, north of the A475, just to the west of the town of Lampeter and to the northwest of Llanybydder.

Troed y Rhiw (foot of the hill in English) is a hamlet in Ceredigion approximately midway between Cribyn and Dihewyd in the rolling agricultural land between Lampeter and Aberaeron. It lies between the land-holdings of Pont Marchog farm and Pen Bryn farm In the 19th century it boasted a chapel, a shop and post office and a pub together with several cottages scattered around the road junction on which the hamlet sits. During the early 20th century the Pub disappeared and is only marked by its ruins in a small copse. The shop and post-office were lost in the early 1970s which probably marked the time of least population . Subsequent to that new development behind the old shop and on the field below Pen Bryn Farm has substantially increased the size of the settlement. The elegant early 19th century chapel remains in occasional use.

Cwmsychbant is a small village in the community of Llanwenog, Ceredigion, Wales, on the A475 road. Cwmsychbant is represented in the Senedd by Elin Jones (Plaid Cymru) and the Member of Parliament is Ben Lake (Plaid Cymru).

Dihewyd is a parish in the county of Ceredigion, West Wales with a population of about 200 people. It is 5 miles (8 km) from Aberaeron and 8 miles (13 km) (northwest by west) from Lampeter. This parish is situated near the Vale of Aëron and not far from the river Mydur. There is also a primary school in the village called Ysgol Gynradd Dihewyd which currently has about 30 pupils attending. Dihewyd no longer has a local shop, pub or post office - the nearest being three miles away at Ystrad Aeron and it only has one bus service (Bwcabus on Wednesdays) to the nearby harbour town of Aberaeron as well as a school bus taking pupils to Ysgol Gyfun Aberaeron. It does have a public telephone box (but it has had the phone removed) and, since October 2015, is connected to fibre broadband. It also has a chapel, church and village hall. Treberfedd is known as the highest point of Dihewyd as well as the highest point of central Ceredigion. Despite not having a local shop since 1876, the local primary school now has a Siop Sied open to the public. A shop inside a shed at the side of the school that trusts the members of the public to go into it and buy things without anyone actually managing the shop, people only supply it with things like eggs, fruit, vegetables etc.

Llanwenog is both a village and a community in Ceredigion, Wales. In 2011 the population of Llanwenog was 1,364, of whom 57.0% were able to speak Welsh. The community includes the villages of Alltyblacca, Gorsgoch, Cwmsychbant, Cwrtnewydd, Highmead, Aber, Drefach and Rhuddlan. The Llanwenog sheep is a breed of domestic sheep originating in Wales, which was developed in the 19th century.

St Gwenog's Church is a Church in Wales church near Llanybydder, Ceredigion, Wales. It is a medieval building dating back to the late fourteenth century and is situated in the hamlet of Llanwenog on a minor road off the A475 near Drefach, Ceredigion. It is a Grade I-listed building. This is a medieval church, and the only one dedicated to Saint Gwenog. It dates to the late fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, with the fine tower being added some time after 1485. It bears a plaque with the arms of Rhys ap Thomas, Lord of Dinefwr and Carew. The interior has the original fifteenth-century barrel roof. The pews and other church furnishings are elaborately carved. Some of the work was done by and to the design of Colonel Herbert Davies-Evans of Highmead at the beginning of the nineteenth century, and others by the celebrated Belgian wood-carver, Joseph Reubens of Bruges during the period 1914 to 1919.The church was granted Grade I-listed status on 6 March 1964, for being "the most complete medieval church in Cardiganshire, with fine late C15 roof and tower".

Drefach is a small village in the community of Llanwenog, Ceredigion, Wales. Dre-fach is represented in the Senedd by Elin Jones (Plaid Cymru) and is part of the Ceredigion constituency in the House of Commons.

Mydroilyn is a village in the parish of Llanarth, Ceredigion, Wales, situated along the B4342 road. The name of the village is derived from the confluence of the Mydr and the Oilyn; two streams in the village. Of particular note, is the 200-year-old farmhouse Aelybryn, which once belonged to a Welsh landowner, the Anglican Holy Trinity Church, the Mydroilyn Independent Chapel, dated to 1898 by David Davies, the Y Ficar Wesleyan Chapel, dated to 1849, and the small 19th century corn-mill named Y Felin.

The A475 road in Wales links Newcastle Emlyn in Carmarthenshire with Lampeter in Ceredigion; a distance of 19 miles (31 km).
