St Cedd's Church, Ilford

Clayhall is a district of Ilford in the London Borough of Redbridge in east London, England. It is a suburban development. The name is derived from an old manor house that stood within the current area. It is first mentioned in a document of 1203 as being an area of land granted to Adam and Matilda de la Claie by Richard de la Claie. The estate probably remained in the hands of this family for about one hundred years, after which it passed through several hands, without ever being positively identified by name, until in a conveyance of 1410 it is described as the manor of Clayhall. In the middle of the 17th century, Sir Christopher Hatton, cousin of the Lord Chancellor Sir Christopher Hatton, lived at the Manor House, but by the middle of the next century the estate was let to tenant farmers. The last tenants of the property were William Ingram, until his death in 1853, and then William, James and Frank Lamb, respectively father, son and grandson. The manor house itself was demolished, probably during the ownership of Peter Eaton, in the middle of the 18th century, and replaced by a farm house. The estate was broken up for building sites in 1935. Clayhall Park in Longwood Gardens is one of Ilford's largest open spaces and has a bowling green, two children's play areas and tennis courts. Clayhall also has a small community library, operated by Vision RCL and a part of Redbridge Libraries.

Caterham High School is a mixed, comprehensive 11-18 school in Clayhall, London. There are 1100 students in the school. The school is supported by the Arts Council. It had a newly built school building in 2006 at a cost of £1.4 million. The school has many sports facilities available from football, netball and basketball courts to gyms, netball and badminton courts and lastly a huge swimming pool used by all students. British racing driver Scott Malvern was a pupil at Caterham High School during 2000–2006.

Beal High School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Redbridge, Greater London, England. The school begins at Year 7 and continues with compulsory schooling through Year 11. Years 12 and 13 form the optional sixth form. In 2014, a business hub and media block were added. The school also has a Communications and Learning Department (CLD Unit) for students on the autistic spectrum. Beal High School is also the sponsor of The Forest Academy (formerly Hainault Forest High School), and the Beacon Business Innovation Hub (BBIH). These schools, alongside the autistic provision form the Beacon Multi Academy Trust.

Ilford Animal Cemetery is an animal cemetery in Ilford in London, England, United Kingdom that contains over three thousand burials. It was founded in the 1920s and is operated by the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals. The cemetery was closed to new burials in the 1960s and gradually became neglected and overgrown before a £50,000 grant from the National Lottery led to its reopening.

Woodford Bridge is part of the East London suburb of Woodford, in the London Borough of Redbridge. It is located on an old road between Chigwell and Leytonstone.

Woodford Town Football Club is a football club based in Woodford in the London Borough of Redbridge. They are currently members of the Essex Senior League and play at Ashton Playing Fields.

St Paul's Church, Woodford Bridge, is Church of England church in Woodford Bridge in east London. Population expansion in the area had led the ancient parish church of St Mary's Church, Woodford to rent an infant school for services in 1851. A permanent church was built in 1854 as a district chapelry. It suffered a fire in 1886, after which it was rebuilt in a Neo-Gothic version of the Decorated style.

Charlie Brown's Roundabout is a large roundabout in South Woodford for lesser arterial roads and is a local landmark name for the motorway access flyovers above.

Grandma's House is a sitcom television series broadcast on BBC Two. Written by Simon Amstell and long-term collaborator Dan Swimer, the series stars Simon Amstell playing a version of himself: an ex-television presenter searching for meaning in his life. Each episode takes place at his grandmother's house, where Grandma (Linda Bassett) welcomes her family, desperate to see everyone happy. The first series was shown in 2010, the second in 2012. In December 2012 Amstell stated that there would not be a third series.

Claybury Hospital was a psychiatric hospital in Woodford Bridge, London. It was built to a design by the English architect George Thomas Hine who was a prolific Victorian architect of hospital buildings. It was opened in 1893 making it the Fifth Middlesex County Asylum. Historic England identified the hospital as being "the most important asylum built in England after 1875". Since the closure of the hospital, the site was redeveloped as housing and a gymnasium under the name Repton Park. The hospital block, tower, and chapel, which is now a swimming complex, were designated as a Grade II listed building in 1990.

St John's RC School is a Roman Catholic special school located in Essex, England. The school is located south of Chigwell in the Epping Forest District of Essex, but is closer to Woodford Green in the London Borough of Redbridge. The school educates pupils aged 5 to 19 years old who have moderate to severe learning difficulties, including communication difficulties and autism. According to Ofsted the school has 99 students on roll. The school is not to be confused with either of the two other secondary schools in Essex also called St Johns: St John's School (an independent school), Billericay Epping St John's School, Epping

St Barnabas' Church, Woodford Green, is a Church of England church in Snakes Lane East, Woodford, London. It had its origins in a 1904 iron mission church – this was attached to St Paul's Church, Woodford. A permanent church was built between 1910 and 1911, with a lady chapel, organ chamber, chancel and two bays of an aisled nave – the nave was completed in 1964. The church was designed by E T Dunn, who also designed St Luke's Church, Ilford, and produced a proposed design for a new chapel screen at St Peter's Church, Bethnal Green. Parts of the parishes of St Paul's, All Saints Church, Woodford Wells, and Holy Trinity Church, South Woodford, were combined to form the new parish of St Barnabas in 1911.
