St Paul's Church, East Ham

East Ham Depot is a depot on the London, Tilbury and Southend line between East Ham and Barking stations with the depot code EM. The depot is approximately 6+1⁄2 mi (10.5 km) from London Fenchurch Street station, and just west of the River Roding.

City of Faith Church (Jubilee International Church) is a multi-cultural church in South London situated in the London Borough of Lewisham which has faced local opposition. From 1996 until 2015, the congregation was a church in fellowship with the Assemblies of God in Great Britain, a worldwide Pentecostal denomination. The church is part of a network of local and international branches.

Wellington Windmill was a weather boarded smock windmill which stood near to what is now Dukes Court, Barking, in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (then a part of Essex). The mill was built in 1815 to assist with work at the nearby mill at Marks Gate. It was named in celebration of his victory at the Battle of Waterloo. In the later 19th century, it was occupied by Francis Whitbourne. The Firman family later occupied the mill; and converted it to electric power in 1906. It remained in use until 1926.

Langdon Academy (formerly Langdon School) is a mixed all-through school with academy status, located on Sussex Road, East Ham in the London Borough of Newham, England. It is situated in East Ham, close to the junction of the A124 (Barking Road) with the North Circular Road (A406): the school playing fields border on to the A406. This is near the eastern end terminus of the A406 with the A13 in Wallend, close to the boundary of Newham and Barking and Dagenham and Barking Creek. The River Roding runs behind the school in Barking.

St Barnabas is an Anglican parish church in Manor Park, London, built in the Gothic Revival style. It was designed by Ninian Comper in partnership with William Bucknall and built to serve the new residential neighbourhood of Manor Park. It is Grade II listed.Building began in 1900 and was completed in 1909. The church is built from red brick with stone copings and window tracery. It has a triple-gabled west front, and arched buttresses along the north side. The interior has late-gothic style windows and measured arches in the nave. It includes two 'Comper angel' candle sconces, distinctive door handles and locks, a carved stone font, 17th century pulpit, and 16th century bell. The stained glass window was added by Comper in 1954 and features his signature strawberry motif.A process of structural restoration was completed in 2016. This was funded by various bodies including the Heritage Lottery Fund and English Heritage (now Historic England). Prior to this, it was on the Heritage at Risk Register.During the 1970s initial planning meetings for Crisis at Christmas were held in a room in the vicarage, and the church was used as a night shelter. Today, St Barnabas is located in one of the most multi-ethnic and culturally diverse parishes in the United Kingdom. The church is used for traditional services and social events, and by community groups reflecting the diversity of the area.

Browning Road was the home ground of London football club Thames Ironworks, the team that would become West Ham United, towards the end of the 1896–97 season. Thames Ironworks had been handed an eviction notice from their previous Hermit Road ground in October 1896 for violating their tenancy agreement and had to play their next four fixtures at the grounds of their opponents, until Thames' chairman Arnold Hills managed to lease a temporary piece of land for the team, located at Browning Road, East Ham. Thames' first game at their new home came on 6 March 1897 in a 3–2 win over Ilford. However, the new situation was not ideal, as explained by future Ironworks player and West Ham United manager Syd King in his 1906 book: For some reason, not altogether explained, the local public at this place did not take kindly to them and the records show that Browning Road was a wilderness both in the manner of luck and support." With the club's presence never likely to be permanent, chairman Arnold Hills earmarked a large piece of land in Canning Town and would eventually spend £20,000 on the construction of the Memorial Grounds. On 8 April 1897 came not only Thames Ironworks' last game of the season but their last game at Browning Road. The game against Barking Woodville ended 1–1.

Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre, also known as The NCS, is a free school sixth form college located in East Ham, London, England. Administered by the City of London Academies Trust, it was opened in 2014. The college is coeducational and is affiliated with University College London who is a strategic partner. It is rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted. It has an ALPS 1 score for value added.

Little Ilford School is a coeducational secondary school located in Little Ilford in the London Borough of Newham in London, United Kingdom. It enrolled 1434 students and has been described by Ofsted as outstanding in their last inspection in 2012.

Wall End (sometimes spelt as Wallend) is a locality in East Ham in East London, located in the borough of Newham. It is a little-used name for the area lying to the north of Beckton between Barking and East Ham. The name stems from an embankment wall that was formerly used to prevent flooding from the river Roding at the 'end' or 'outlying part' of East Ham. Much of the area consists of terraced housing dating from the building-boom of the late 19th century.

St Mary's Church is a Church of England church in Little Ilford, east London. Mainly 12th century, it had its chancel rebuilt and a south porch and family chapel to the Lethieullier family added in 1724. It remained a parish church until 1938, at which point it became a chapel of ease to St Michael's Church, Romford Road. It is listed at Grade I.

Newham Town Hall, formerly East Ham Town Hall, is a municipal building in Barking Road, East Ham, London. The town hall, which is the headquarters of Newham London Borough Council, is a Grade II* listed building.

East Ham was a local government district in the far south west of Essex from 1878 to 1965. It extended from Wanstead Flats in the north to the River Thames in the south and from Green Street in the west to Barking Creek in the east. It was part of the London postal district and Metropolitan Police District.
