St Patrick's Church, Barking

Eastbury Manor House is a Grade I listed building situated in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in Greater London, England. It dates to the Elizabethan period, although the land on which it was built was formerly part of the demesne of Barking Abbey. The house is owned by the National Trust but has been managed since the 1930s by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and its predecessors. It is open to the public for 10 months of every year.

Greatfields Park, in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, east London, is a public park of just under 6 hectares. It lies just north of the A13 road (Alfreds Way, Barking bypass trunk road), and is bounded on other sides by Greatfields Road, Movers Lane, and Perth Road. It contains tennis courts, playgrounds, flower gardens, and grass areas for football and other games. The park was officially opened in 1926, but had already existed for five years as the Movers Lane Playing Field.

Christ Church, Barking or Christ Church, Thames View is a Church of England church on the Thames View estate in Barking, Greater London. It was built between 1958 and 1959 as a chapel of ease to St Patrick's. From the late 1970s until 1 January 2017 it formed a team parish with St Patrick's and St Margaret's.

Upney is a London Underground station located on Upney Lane in Barking, east London. It is on the District line between Barking station to the west and Becontree station to the east. It is 10.96 kilometres (6.81 mi) along the line from the eastern terminus at Upminster and 23.24 kilometres (14.44 mi) to Earl's Court in central London where the line divides into numerous branches. It is in London fare zone 4. The station was opened in 1932 by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway on the local electrified tracks that were extended to Upminster from Barking.

St Erkenwald's Church is a Church of England parish church on Levett Road, Barking in Greater London. It was established as a temporary church in 1934, which was only replaced by a permanent red-brick church twenty years later – the latter was part-funded by money from a War Damage payment for Holy Trinity Church, Canning Town, destroyed in the London Blitz. It is dedicated to Earconwald, one of the founders of Barking Abbey and brother to its first abbess Ethelburga.

Barking Abbey School is a secondary school and specialist sports and humanities college located in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. It serves students from the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge, and Newham. Years 7 to 11 (ages 11 – 16) are at the Longbridge Road site and years 7 to 13 (ages 11 – 18) at the Sandringham Road site. Barking Abbey also has a Sixth Form of over 400 students which is at the Sandringham Road site. A Level and BTEC courses are available to 16 - 18 year-olds in the Sixth Form. Both sites are situated to the west of Mayesbrook Park and to the north of Upney Underground station.

Barking Park is a public park covering 30 hectares to the northeast of Barking town centre in east London. It was opened as the Recreation Ground in 1898 by the Barking Town Urban District Council and is now the oldest public park in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. It lies north of Longbridge Road and south of the neighbourhood of Loxford, with the northern boundary of the park along Loxford Water also the borough boundary with Redbridge.

Thames View Estate is a large housing estate in Barking and Dagenham in East London, England.

Barking is an interchange station serving the town of Barking, east London. It is served by London Underground, London Overground and National Rail main line services. It is located on Station Parade, in the town centre. On the Underground it is a stop on the District line and is also the eastern terminus of the Hammersmith & City line; on the National Rail network it is served by c2c services operating to and from Fenchurch Street; and on the Overground it was formerly the eastern terminus of the Gospel Oak to Barking line, which has now been extended to Barking Riverside. There is also interchange with London Buses and East London Transit routes on the station frontage. The Underground station is the busiest in the network outside of Zones 1 and 2. The station was opened in 1854 by the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway as one of the first stations on the route. It was rebuilt in 1908 and again in 1959. As of February 2012, significant redevelopment of the station is currently proposed by Barking and Dagenham London Borough Council and the Department for Transport.
