Eastbury Community School is a co-educational all-through school and sixth form located in the Barking area of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, England.

Barking Park is a public park covering 30 hectares to the northeast of Barking town centre in east London. It was opened as the Recreation Ground in 1898 by the Barking Town Urban District Council and is now the oldest public park in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. It lies north of Longbridge Road and south of the neighbourhood of Loxford, with the northern boundary of the park along Loxford Water also the borough boundary with Redbridge.

Barking Abbey School is a secondary school and specialist sports and humanities college located in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. It serves students from the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge, and Newham. Years 7 to 11 (ages 11 – 16) are at the Longbridge Road site and years 7 to 13 (ages 11 – 18) at the Sandringham Road site. Barking Abbey also has a Sixth Form of over 400 students which is at the Sandringham Road site. A Level and BTEC courses are available to 16 - 18 year-olds in the Sixth Form. Both sites are situated to the west of Mayesbrook Park and to the north of Upney Underground station.

Upney is a London Underground station located on Upney Lane in Barking, east London. It is on the District line between Barking station to the west and Becontree station to the east. It is 10.96 kilometres (6.81 mi) along the line from the eastern terminus at Upminster and 23.24 kilometres (14.44 mi) to Earl's Court in central London where the line divides into numerous branches. It is in London fare zone 4. The station was opened in 1932 by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway on the local electrified tracks that were extended to Upminster from Barking.

Loxford School (formerly Loxford School of Science and Technology) is a mixed all-through school with academy status located in the Ilford area of the London Borough of Redbridge, England. The school's current headteacher is Anita Johnson. The secondary school now has more than 3000 students aged from 11 to 18 years, and a primary school is connected to it. The school is a part of the Loxford School Trust which consists of 6 other academies.

East London is the northeastern part of London, United Kingdom. Located east of the ancient City of London and north of the River Thames as it begins to widen, East London developed as London's docklands and the primary industrial centre. The expansion of railways in the 19th century encouraged the eastward expansion of the East End of London and a proliferation of new suburbs. St Patrick's Church is a grade II listed church on Blake Avenue in the Eastbury district in Barking. It was formed in 1924 as the temporary Church of the Ascension, which was turned into a parish hall in 1940 after being replaced by the permanent brown-brick church, dedicated to Saint Patrick and designed in the Moderne style by A. E. Wiseman. A parish was formed for the permanent church in 1939 by splitting an area off from that of St Margaret's. In 1959 Christ Church, Barking, was added to the parish of St Patrick's as a chapel of ease. Christ Church, St Patrick's and St Margaret's formed a single team parish until 1 January 2017. It is now a parish in its own right.

Eastbury Manor House is a Grade I listed building situated in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in Greater London, England. It dates to the Elizabethan period, although the land on which it was built was formerly part of the demesne of Barking Abbey. The house is owned by the National Trust but has been managed since the 1930s by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and its predecessors. It is open to the public for 10 months of every year.

Greatfields Park, in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, east London, is a public park of just under 6 hectares. It lies just north of the A13 road (Alfreds Way, Barking bypass trunk road), and is bounded on other sides by Greatfields Road, Movers Lane, and Perth Road. It contains tennis courts, playgrounds, flower gardens, and grass areas for football and other games. The park was officially opened in 1926, but had already existed for five years as the Movers Lane Playing Field.

South Park is an Edwardian park to the south of Ilford, East London. It is one of the largest open spaces in the London Borough of Redbridge. It has recently been awarded Green Flag status.

Barking is an interchange station serving the town of Barking, east London. It is served by London Underground, London Overground and National Rail main line services. It is located on Station Parade, in the town centre. On the Underground it is a stop on the District line and is also the eastern terminus of the Hammersmith & City line; on the National Rail network it is served by c2c services operating to and from Fenchurch Street; and on the Overground it was formerly the eastern terminus of the Gospel Oak to Barking line, which has now been extended to Barking Riverside. There is also interchange with London Buses and East London Transit routes on the station frontage. The Underground station is the busiest in the network outside of Zones 1 and 2. The station was opened in 1854 by the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway as one of the first stations on the route. It was rebuilt in 1908 and again in 1959. As of February 2012, significant redevelopment of the station is currently proposed by Barking and Dagenham London Borough Council and the Department for Transport.
