Christ Church, Barking

Eastbury Manor House is a Grade I listed building situated in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in Greater London, England. It dates to the Elizabethan period, although the land on which it was built was formerly part of the demesne of Barking Abbey. The house is owned by the National Trust but has been managed since the 1930s by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and its predecessors. It is open to the public for 10 months of every year.

St Patrick's Church is a grade II listed church on Blake Avenue in the Eastbury district in Barking. It was formed in 1924 as the temporary Church of the Ascension, which was turned into a parish hall in 1940 after being replaced by the permanent brown-brick church, dedicated to Saint Patrick and designed in the Moderne style by A. E. Wiseman. A parish was formed for the permanent church in 1939 by splitting an area off from that of St Margaret's. In 1959 Christ Church, Barking, was added to the parish of St Patrick's as a chapel of ease. Christ Church, St Patrick's and St Margaret's formed a single team parish until 1 January 2017. It is now a parish in its own right.

Thames View Estate is a large housing estate in Barking and Dagenham in East London, England.

Greatfields Park, in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, east London, is a public park of just under 6 hectares. It lies just north of the A13 road (Alfreds Way, Barking bypass trunk road), and is bounded on other sides by Greatfields Road, Movers Lane, and Perth Road. It contains tennis courts, playgrounds, flower gardens, and grass areas for football and other games. The park was officially opened in 1926, but had already existed for five years as the Movers Lane Playing Field.

Upney is a London Underground station located on Upney Lane in Barking, east London. It is on the District line between Barking station to the west and Becontree station to the east. It is 10.96 kilometres (6.81 mi) along the line from the eastern terminus at Upminster and 23.24 kilometres (14.44 mi) to Earl's Court in central London where the line divides into numerous branches. It is in London fare zone 4. The station was opened in 1932 by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway on the local electrified tracks that were extended to Upminster from Barking.

Barking is a constituency in Greater London represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. Since its formation in 1945, it has consistently returned a member of the Labour Party as its Member of Parliament (MP). Since 1994, its MP has been Margaret Hodge.

Riverside Campus (also known as Riverside School) is an 11-18 mixed, secondary free school and selective sixth form situated in Barking Riverside, London, England. It is one of the largest schools in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, with currently over 1,200 students on roll. The school opened in September 2013 for years 7-11, and the sixth form (years 12-13) opened in 2017.

Creekmouth is an area of Barking in east London, England. It is best known for its large industrial estate. The industrial area around River Road and Thames Road is one of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham's largest employment areas. Creekmouth has a wide range of businesses from small local manufacturers to major multi-national companies.

Barking Creek joins the River Roding to the River Thames. It is fully tidal up to the Barking Barrage (a weir), which impounds a minimum water level through Barking.In the 1850s, the creek was home to England's largest fishing fleet and a Victorian icehouse – where the fish were landed and stored prior to being transferred to London's fish markets. Barking Creek contains a small number of house boats, and the former village of Creekmouth is nearby.The Barking Creek Barrier, a tidal flood barrier, was constructed in the 1980s as part of the Thames flood defence system, opening in 1983. Like all of the subsidiary gates, it is normally closed before, and opened after, the main Thames Barrier. The barrier is 38 metres wide, held aloft by two 40 metre towers to allow boats to pass at high tide.

Thames was a ward in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham from 1978 to 2022. It returned two councillors until 2002 and then three councillors to Barking and Dagenham London Borough Council. The ward included the large Barking Riverside redevelopment area.
