Fairwood is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington, United States. As of the 2010 census the population was 19,102.

Nelsen Middle School, is located in Renton, Washington, USA, a suburb of Seattle, and is in Renton School District 403. It is a middle school that educates around 1,010 students in grades 6-8.In the past few years Nelsen has completed a major remodel with peaked roofs and a peaked entry arch complementing its original boxy building shapes.

Greenwood Memorial Park is a cemetery in the northwest United States, located in Renton, Washington, a suburb southeast of Seattle. It is notable as the resting place of rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix (1942–1970), a Seattle native; over 14,000 fans visit his memorial annually. Also interred at Greenwood are professional football players Clancy Williams (1942–1986) and Nesby Glasgow (1957–2020).

KRIZ (1420 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a gospel format. Licensed to Renton, Washington, United States, it serves the Seattle area. The station is currently owned by the Kris Bennett Broadcasting Co., Inc. KRIZ shares its studios with KYIZ in the city's Central District east of downtown, and its transmitter is located in Renton. KRIZ is one of The Z Twins, two radio stations serving the Puget Sound region, most notably the African-American communities of King and Pierce County, Washington. The Z Twins were so named as, at the time, the company only owned two stations, KRIZ and KZIZ (1560 AM). But after KYIZ (1620 AM) signed on, the name stuck, despite now having three stations in the family.

KYIZ (1620 AM) is a radio station broadcasting an Urban Adult Contemporary and Black Talk Radio format. Licensed to Renton, Washington, United States, the station serves the Seattle metropolitan area. It has been owned by Kris Bennett since its founding, with studios and offices, shared with KRIZ, located on South Jackson Street in the city's Central District east of downtown. KYIZ's transmitter site is located in Renton off Wells Avenue South. It broadcasts with 10,000 watts by day, but to avoid interfering with other stations on AM 1620, it reduces power at night to 1,000 watts. It uses a non-directional antenna at all times. KYIZ is one of The Z Twins, two radio stations serving the Puget Sound region, most notably the African-American communities of King and Pierce County, Washington.

The Cedar River Regional Trail is a partially paved 17.3-mile (27.8 km) rail trail in Washington. The Cedar River Trail was the former mainline of the Milwaukee Road. It is open for non-motorized use and parallels State Route 169 for much of its length. It connects Renton to Maple Valley. In Maple Valley it connects to the Cedar to Green River Trail at mile 12.3. Beyond Maple Valley the surface is crushed gravel, and the trail ends in Landsburg near a small dam and the boundary of the Cedar River Watershed.A bridge on the trail parallel to State Route 169 in Maple Valley recently underwent a renovation, and is now re-opened to foot, bike, and equestrian traffic.

Renton is a city in King County, Washington, and an inner-ring suburb of Seattle. Situated 11 miles (18 km) southeast of downtown Seattle, Renton straddles the southeast shore of Lake Washington, at the mouth of the Cedar River. As of the 2020 census, the population of Renton was 106,785, up from 90,927 at the 2010 census. The city is currently the sixth-largest municipality in greater Seattle and the eighth-largest in Washington state. After a long history as an important salmon fishing area for Native Americans, Renton was first settled by people of European descent in the 1860s. Its early economy was based on coal mining, clay production, and timber export. Today, Renton is best known as the final assembly point for the Boeing 737 family of commercial airplanes, but it is also home to a growing number of well known manufacturing, technology, and healthcare organizations, including Boeing Commercial Airplanes Division, Paccar, Kaiser Permanente, IKEA, Providence Health & Services, UW Medicine, and Wizards of the Coast.

The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) is the governing body of athletics and activities for secondary education schools in the state of Washington. As of February 2011, the private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization consists of nearly 800 member high schools and middle/junior high schools, both public and private.

The Renton Public Library is the King County Library System (KCLS) branch library in Renton, Washington, in the United States. It was a city library between its construction in 1966 and 2010, when it was one of the last three non-KCLS members in the county outside of Seattle and it was incorporated into KCLS after what may have been "the most contentious annexation fight in the system's 71 years".
