East Hill-Meridian is a former census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington. The population was 29,878 at the time of the 2010 census. The majority of the census area is now within the limits of Kent and Renton.

Lindbergh High School is a (senior) high school in the southeastern section of Renton, Washington, a suburb of Seattle, in the Renton School District. It is named after Charles A. Lindbergh, the famous aviator who was first to fly solo across the Atlantic in 1927. The school was founded in 1972. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors attended the first year, making the class of 1974 the first to graduate. Lindbergh's school motto is ad astra, which is Latin for "to the stars". The crest features the Spirit of St. Louis (the plane that Charles Lindbergh flew), and the school's motto flanked by stars with the dates 1927 and 1972, respectively.

The station is currently owned by the Kris Bennett Broadcasting Co., Inc. KRIZ shares its studios with KYIZ in the city's Central District east of downtown, and its transmitter is located in Renton. KRIZ is one of The Z Twins, two radio stations serving the Puget Sound region, most notably the African-American communities of King and Pierce County, Washington. The Z Twins were so named as, at the time, the company only owned two stations, KRIZ and KZIZ (1560 AM). But after KYIZ (1620 AM) signed on, the name stuck, despite now having three stations in the family.

Licensed to Renton, Washington, United States, the station serves the Seattle metropolitan area. It has been owned by Kris Bennett since its founding, with studios and offices, shared with KRIZ, located on South Jackson Street in the city's Central District east of downtown. KYIZ's transmitter site is located in Renton off Wells Avenue South. It broadcasts with 10,000 watts by day, but to avoid interfering with other stations on AM 1620, it reduces power at night to 1,000 watts. It uses a non-directional antenna at all times. KYIZ is one of The Z Twins, two radio stations serving the Puget Sound region, most notably the African-American communities of King and Pierce County, Washington.

The Safeco Classic (often styled as the SAFECO Classic) was a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour in the Seattle area, sponsored by Safeco Insurance. It was played 18 times, from 1982 to 1999, at Meridian Valley Country Club in Kent, Washington, usually in mid-September, the week following the Safeway Classic in Portland.With the opening of the Seattle Mariners' Safeco Field in Seattle in July 1999, Safeco entered a 20-year, $40 million agreement for the naming rights of the new major league baseball stadium. Safeco ended its sponsorship of the LPGA event in October 1999 and a new sponsor did not emerge.Multiple winners of the 72-hole event were Patty Sheehan (1982, 1990, 1995), Juli Inkster (1983, 1988), and Karrie Webb (1995, 1996).

Lake Youngs is a reservoir in King County, Washington. It is located between Maple Valley and Renton along the route of pipelines carrying water from the Cedar River to Seattle, and is accessible only to Seattle Public Utilities staff and authorized visitors.Originally the site of 548 acres (222 ha) Swan Lake, construction of the Lake Youngs reservoir began in earnest in the early 1920s and was completed by 1926. Lake Youngs has a surface area of 700 acres (2.8 km2) and a maximum depth of 72 feet (22 m). It was named for longtime Seattle Water Department head L. B. Youngs, who died in 1923. Lake Youngs is used as a visual checkpoint for pilots flying into and out of Renton Municipal Airport. Lake Youngs is drained by Little Soos Creek.

With 26,891 enrolled students, it is the 4th largest school district in the state of Washington. The district employs 3,389 staff members, of whom 1,687 are teachers. In the mid-2000s, the school district completed a transition from junior high schools to middle schools. The 2004–2005 school year was the first year the ninth grade was at the high school level.

Kent-Meridian High School is a high school located in Kent, Washington, United States, and part of the Kent School District. Kent-Meridian is one of four high schools in the Kent School District. It serves students in grades nine through twelve who live mainly in the south region of the district. Its principal is David Radford.
