St Anselm's Church, Kennington

Kennington Cross is a locality in the London Borough of Lambeth. It is at the junction of two major roads, Kennington Lane that links Vauxhall Cross with the Elephant and Castle and Kennington Road that runs from Waterloo to Kennington Park. At the junction are the Durning Library (London Borough of Lambeth), St Anselm's Church (Church of England) and The ArtsLav project, a nineteenth-century underground gents Victorian Lavatory converted into a small local arts venue. There are two large public houses, The Dog House, and The Tommyfield.

ArtsLav was an arts venue located at Kennington Cross in Kennington, London, England. It started life as an underground Victorian gentlemen's public lavatory. It is now a listed and restored Kennington landmark used as a community arts facility, Artslav. Engineered by B. Finch and Co. in 1898. It went out of commission in 1988 during a period of public convenience closures in Lambeth. Original features included marble urinals, three cubicles, a glass water tank, a mosaic floor from the 1960s, an attendant's booth, a ventilator shaft and horse trough.

Durning Library is a public lending library in Kennington, London. It is part of Lambeth Libraries in the London Borough of Lambeth and is in purpose-built Grade II listed building at 167 Kennington Lane, Kennington, London SE11.The Durning Library was built in 1889, designed by Sidney R. J. Smith the architect of Tate Britain, in the Gothic Revival style. It was a gift to the people of Kennington from Jemina Durning Smith.

The Children's Day Hospital, or more properly, the Psychiatric Day Hospital for Children and their Families at 35 Black Prince Road, Vauxhall, London was a South London out-patient resource under the aegis of St Thomas' Hospital and the NHS between 1965 and 1990 when it closed. Coincidentally, its existence was co-terminous with that of the Inner London Education Authority, with whose 'Special Schools' service, based in nearby County Hall, there was occasional co-operation. The Day Hospital's distinction was to provide evidence-based treatment added to the Waldorf School system, combined with the prescription of newly developed antidepressant medication to children.

The Oval Gasholders is the unofficial name given to the gas holder (gasometer) located near The Oval cricket stadium in London, England. Construction began in 1853 and the site is officially called Kennington Holder Station by its owners, Southern Gas Network. It is a grade II listed building with the listed part of them known as Gasholder No. 1.

Prince's ward is an administrative division of the London Borough of Lambeth, England. It is located in the North of the borough, bounded by the River Thames on the west and Kennington Park Road on the east. It is made up of much of Kennington and Vauxhall. Prince's ward is located in the Vauxhall parliamentary constituency and is one of four wards in the borough's north Lambeth division. Prince's contains two schools: Archbishop Sumner Primary School, and Vauxhall Primary School. Kennington Park Road is a main road in south-east London, England, and is part of the A3 trunk road. It runs from Newington Butts at its Y-junction with Kennington Lane, south-west to the Oval, where the A3 continues as Clapham Road, towards Stockwell. At this crossroads junction, Camberwell New Road and Kennington Oval head towards Camberwell Green and Vauxhall respectively. Heading south, the street first passes Kennington station and then Kennington Park. It is part of the Roman Stane Street, from London to Chichester.
