The Oval Gasholders

Oval Mansions are eight separate blocks of tenement housing in Kennington, south London. The blocks stand between the Oval cricket ground and the Oval Gasholders. After being occupied by one hundred squatters from 1983 until 2000 (notable residents including Ian Dury, Gillian Wearing and Ben Myers), the buildings were sold off by Lambeth Council in the early 2000s.

The Oval, known for sponsorship reasons as the Kia Oval, is an international cricket ground in Kennington, in the London Borough of Lambeth, in south London. The Oval has been the home ground of Surrey County Cricket Club since it was opened in 1845. It was the first ground in England to host international Test cricket in September 1880. The final Test match of the English season is traditionally played there. In addition to cricket, The Oval has hosted a number of other historically significant sporting events. In 1870, it staged England's first international football match, versus Scotland. It hosted the first FA Cup final in 1872, as well as those between 1874 and 1892. In 1876, it held both the England v. Wales and England v. Scotland rugby international matches and, in 1877, rugby's first varsity match. It also hosted the final of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.

Gasworks is a contemporary art organisation based near The Oval cricket ground in Kennington, South East London, which comprises a gallery and 13 artist studios as well offering residencies, international fellowships and educational projects.The gallery is part of The Triangle Network, an international network or residencies and workshops offering artists the opportunity develop their practice stimulated by a climate of international exchange and dialogue.Nine studios are rented to London-based artists and four are reserved for an International Residency Programme for non-UK based artists. Gasworks residencies encourage exchange of ideas between practitioners, instigating experimentation with new concepts and new materials. Since 1994, Gasworks Residency Programme has worked with over 200 artists from more than 50 countries worldwide.Gasworks residencies include an education and outreach programme, with some residencies dedicated to working with local community groups. Residencies culminate in Open Studios with occasional projects developed in collaboration with the exhibition programme.Gasworks hosts up to four exhibitions a year and profiles emerging or mid-career international or UK artists who have limited previous exposure in London. The exhibitions are complemented by a programme of education and off-site activities.

Ovalhouse, formerly called Oval House Theatre, was an Off-West End theatre in the London Borough of Lambeth, located at 52–54 Kennington Oval, London, SE11 5SW. It closed in 2020, and moved to Brixton, becoming the Brixton House theatre.

City Racing was a squatted artist-run space in Oval Mansions, Kennington, South London which was active between 1988 and 1998. It was a cooperative by five artists Matt Hale, Paul Noble, John Burgess, Keith Coventry and Peter Owen. They set up the gallery in a former betting shop near The Oval cricket ground, hence the derivation of the gallery name. City Racing became an important and renowned exhibition space; its openings provided a networking opportunity for many artists.

The Old Town Hall is a former municipal building in Kennington Road, Kennington, London, England. The town hall, which was briefly the headquarters of the Metropolitan Borough of Lambeth, is a Grade II listed building.

The Triangle Adventure Playground is an Adventure playground that has operated in Oval, in south London since 1957. It is the oldest adventure playground in London that is still located on its original site.

Oval is a London Underground station in the London Borough of Lambeth. It is on the Northern line between Stockwell and Kennington stations and is in Travelcard Zone 2. It opened on 18 December 1890 as part of the City and South London Railway and is named after The Oval cricket ground, which it serves.

St Mark's Church, Kennington, is an Anglican church on Kennington Park Road in Kennington, London, United Kingdom, near Oval tube station. The church is a Commissioners' church, receiving a grant from the Church Building Commission towards its cost. Authorised by the Church Building Act 1824 (5 Geo 4 Cap CIII), it was built on the site of the old gallows corner on Kennington Common.The architect was David R. Roper, possibly with A.B. Clayton, and was opened in 1824. The total cost of the church, including the land and other expenses, was £22,720. This was paid partly by the local parishioners and partly by Parliament through a grant known as "The Million Fund".

St Anselm's Church is a Grade II listed church at 286 Kennington Road, Kennington, London SE11, built in 1932–33 by Stanley Davenport Adshead and Stanley Churchill Ramsey, on the foundations of an earlier church whose building was interrupted by the First World War; the present church is famously described as "barn-like".With St Peter's Church, Vauxhall, it forms the North Lambeth parish.
