Sarojini Nagar is a neighbourhood in South West Delhi district of Delhi, India. It was one of the sites of the 29 October 2005 Delhi bombings. It is close to Safdarjung Airport, starting 2010, it is serviced by the Sarojini Nagar on the newly constructed underground station on the Pink Line of Delhi Metro.

Laxmi Bai Nagar is a VIP residential colony in New Delhi, India. Laxmi Bai, meaning "city of Lakshmibai", is named for the Rani (queen) of the Maratha-ruled Jhansi State in India, which is now a province of modern Uttar Pradesh state. She fought for independence from the British Raj during the Indian Rebellion of 1857 and died in combat.Laxmi Bai Nagar hosts doctors and staff of Central Government Health Scheme and serves as official residences for many civil servants to the Union Government and other employees of the government. The Naval Children School of Delhi, India, was established in 1965 and is the flagship of the Naval Public Schools system set up by the Navy Education Society. Ages range from nursery to class XII level. The school was named Naval Primary School, and situated on navy grounds in Chanakyapuri with students aged from nursery to Class III. Mrs. A.K. Chatterjee, wife of the then Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral (later Admiral) Chatterjee, was the first principal of the school, leading a small group of lady teachers; Mrs. Narasimhan was vice-principal. Other pioneer teachers included Mrs. Krishnaswamy and Mrs. Rana. The teachers were drawn from the ranks of NOWA (the Naval Officer's Wives Association) and from the ranks of the surrounding communities. Classes were small, with the seniormost class in 1966, Class IV, with seven students enrolled at the beginning of 1966. The student body was drawn from the Governmental housing colonies of Satya Marg, Vinay Marg, Sarojini Nagar and Nauroji Nagar. The curriculum followed the standard curriculum for the Senior Cambridge/Indian Schools Certificate schools, essentially the same as the 'O' level track primary school curriculum in the UK. Subjects included English, Hindi, Arithmetic, Geography, History, Nature Studies and Moral Science, with senior classes adding Civics, Geometry and Algebra to the curriculum in Class V. The school occupied the main building of the Naval Grounds in Chanakyapuri, which was adjacent to junior officers' flats. In the winter months preceding Republic Day (26 January) the grounds also accommodated a large tented encampment of Navy ratings, who used the school football grounds to rehearse for the Republic Day parade. There are Navy Children Schools in Port Blair, Goa, Kochi, Vizag, Mumbai, Arakkonam, Coimbatore, Karanja, Ezhimala, Karwar and Porbander.

Netaji Nagar is a part of South West Delhi and comes under the New Delhi parliamentary area. It predominantly has official government residences/quarters. The community is located close to Shanti path which has several embassies. The Prime Minister's residence is approximately 2 km away. Delhi College of Arts and Commerce is situated in the locality. Some other nearby locations include Safdarjung Enclave, R.K. Puram Sector 13, Hyatt Regency hotel, Bhikaji Cama Place, Palika Bhawan, Leela Palace.The area is named in the memory of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose There was an illegal slum there which was demolished on 19 September 2010.

Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) is a medical college in New Delhi. It is attached with the famous Safdarjang Hospital for clinical teaching. The college runs under the umbrella of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Vardhman Mahavir Medical College was established at Safdarjung Hospital (one of the largest hospitals in India, started during the Second World War) in November 2001.

The Dilli Haat - INA Metro Station is an interchange station between the Yellow Line and Pink Line of the Delhi Metro. It serves INA Colony, the Dilli Haat complex, and nearby busy markets, INA Market, and the Sarojini Nagar Market.The station as part of the Yellow Line was opened to public on 3 September 2010. It became an interchange station, on opening of the Pink Line on 6 August 2018.

Dilli Haat is a paid-entrance open-air market, food plaza, and craft bazaar located in Delhi. The area is run by Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC), and unlike the traditional weekly market, the village Haat, Dilli Haat is permanent. It is located in the commercial centres of South Delhi, opposite INA market. The 6 acres of land on which this complex is situated was salvaged as part of a reclamation project and transformed into a plaza. Extensive foundation work, small thatched roof cottages and kiosks give the plaza a village atmosphere. The culture and the environment of dilli Haat is very good. People from outside come and visit Dilli Haat. It is a good place to visit with family and friends. Some shops are permanent but other sellers are rotated, usually for fifteen days. Products offered may include rosewood and sandalwood carvings, embellished camel hide footwear, sophisticated fabric and drapery, gems, beads, brassware, metal crafts, and silk & wool fabrics. A number of shows promoting handicrafts and handlooms are held at the exhibition hall in the complex. To sell wares, there is an application process; spaces are allocated according to which state the seller is from. In all, Dilli Haat, INA Market has 62 stalls allotted on a rotational basis to craftsmen for a payment of INR 100 per day for a maximum period of 15 days.

INA colony is a residential colony maintained by the Airports Authority of India for their employees. It was named after a former private airline, Indian National Airways, which was amongst those nationalised and merged to form, Indian Airlines in 1953. Situated on Aurobindo Marg, across Dilli Haat and behind INA Market, the colony lies near Safdarjung Airport, on Sri Aurobindo Marg, Kotla Mubarakpur opposite to Laxmibai Nagar adjacent to Kidwai Nagar East. The INA market also has shops selling varieties of imported foodstuff and wines for expatriates due to its proximity to Chanakyapuri diplomatic enclave. Starting 2010, it is serviced by the Dilli Haat - INA underground station of the Delhi Metro. INA market is also famous for its Sea Food items.

Safdarjung Airport (IATA: N/A, ICAO: VIDD) is an airport in New Delhi, India, in the neighbourhood of the same name. Established during the British Raj as Willingdon Airfield, it started operations as an aerodrome in 1929, when it was India's second airport after the Juhu Aerodrome in Mumbai. It was used extensively during the Second World War as it was part of the South Atlantic air ferry route, and later during Indo-Pakistani War of 1947. Once situated on the edge of Lutyens' Delhi, today, it has the entire city of New Delhi around it. It remained the city's main airport until 1962, when operations shifted to Palam Airport completely by the late 1960s, as it could not support the new bigger aircraft such as jet aircraft.The Delhi Flying Club was established here in 1928 with two de Havilland Moth aircraft named ‘Delhi’ and ‘Roshanara’. The airport functioned until 2001, however in January 2002, due to security considerations in the post 9/11 scenario, the government closed the airport for flying activities, the club only carries out aircraft maintenance courses today. Today it is mostly used for VVIP helicopter passenger flights to the Indira Gandhi International Airport including the President and the Prime Minister. The 190 acre airport complex, has Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan on its grounds, which houses the Ministry of Civil Aviation as well as the headquarters of the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

The Bhikaji Cama Place metro station is located on the Pink Line of the Delhi Metro. The station was opened on 6 August 2018. Bhikaji Cama Place Metro Station is situated on the Ring Road. It is named after Bhikaji Cama the Indian freedom fighter, who is credited with creating an early version of the Flag of India based on the Calcutta Flag

Akbar Bhawan, formerly the Akbar Hotel, is a building in the Chanakyapuri locality of New Delhi, India which houses the South Asian University and offices of the Government of India's Ministry of External Affairs. Designed by Shiv Nath Prasad in collaboration with Mahendra Raj, it is one of Delhi's best known examples of brutalist architecture and bears semblance to the Unité d'habitation in Marseille, France. Inaugurated in 1972, it was a hotel of the India Tourism Development Corporation before its conversion into an office complex in 1986. The Akbar Hotel was noted for its use of innovative decor that blended contemporary designs with traditional Indian art and handicrafts.
