Laxmi Bai Nagar is a VIP residential colony in New Delhi, India. Laxmi Bai, meaning "city of Lakshmibai", is named for the Rani (queen) of the Maratha-ruled Jhansi State in India, which is now a province of modern Uttar Pradesh state. She fought for independence from the British Raj during the Indian Rebellion of 1857 and died in combat.Laxmi Bai Nagar hosts doctors and staff of Central Government Health Scheme and serves as official residences for many civil servants to the Union Government and other employees of the government. Dilli Haat is a paid-entrance open-air market, food plaza, and craft bazaar located in Delhi. The area is run by Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC), and unlike the traditional weekly market, the village Haat, Dilli Haat is permanent. It is located in the commercial centres of South Delhi, opposite INA market. The 6 acres of land on which this complex is situated was salvaged as part of a reclamation project and transformed into a plaza. Extensive foundation work, small thatched roof cottages and kiosks give the plaza a village atmosphere. The culture and the environment of dilli Haat is very good. People from outside come and visit Dilli Haat. It is a good place to visit with family and friends. Some shops are permanent but other sellers are rotated, usually for fifteen days. Products offered may include rosewood and sandalwood carvings, embellished camel hide footwear, sophisticated fabric and drapery, gems, beads, brassware, metal crafts, and silk & wool fabrics. A number of shows promoting handicrafts and handlooms are held at the exhibition hall in the complex. To sell wares, there is an application process; spaces are allocated according to which state the seller is from. In all, Dilli Haat, INA Market has 62 stalls allotted on a rotational basis to craftsmen for a payment of INR 100 per day for a maximum period of 15 days.

INA colony is a residential colony maintained by the Airports Authority of India for their employees. It was named after a former private airline, Indian National Airways, which was amongst those nationalised and merged to form, Indian Airlines in 1953. Situated on Aurobindo Marg, across Dilli Haat and behind INA Market, the colony lies near Safdarjung Airport, on Sri Aurobindo Marg, Kotla Mubarakpur opposite to Laxmibai Nagar adjacent to Kidwai Nagar East. The INA market also has shops selling varieties of imported foodstuff and wines for expatriates due to its proximity to Chanakyapuri diplomatic enclave. Starting 2010, it is serviced by the Dilli Haat - INA underground station of the Delhi Metro. INA market is also famous for its Sea Food items.

Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) is a medical college in New Delhi. It is attached with the famous Safdarjang Hospital for clinical teaching. The college runs under the umbrella of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Vardhman Mahavir Medical College was established at Safdarjung Hospital (one of the largest hospitals in India, started during the Second World War) in November 2001.

Old Pilanji Village is about 600 years old. It lost its rural identity by the British in 1911 when Delhi was made the seat of Governance.

Sri Aurobindo Marg or Aurobindo Marg, is an important South Delhi north-south arterial road connecting historic Safdarjung's Tomb to Qutab Minar. The road is named for Sri Aurobindo Ghosh; the Delhi campus of Sri Aurobindo Ashram is located on the road. The road was originally known as Mehrauli Road. The road is a primary conduit for traffic from North Delhi and Central Delhi, including the commercial hub of Connaught Place, to points south and southwest of Delhi, including Gurgaon. The stations of Delhi Metro, Jor Bagh, INA, AIIMS and Green Park (Yellow Line) lie on this road.

The AIIMS metro station is located on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro.The entrances are on Aurobindo Marg, the east side just outside the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Safdarjung Hospital is just west of the station.

The Sarojini Nagar metro station is a station located on the Pink Line of the Delhi Metro. The station was opened on 6 August 2018.

Safdarjung Airport (IATA: N/A, ICAO: VIDD) is an airport in New Delhi, India, in the neighbourhood of the same name. Established during the British Raj as Willingdon Airfield, it started operations as an aerodrome in 1929, when it was India's second airport after the Juhu Aerodrome in Mumbai. It was used extensively during the Second World War as it was part of the South Atlantic air ferry route, and later during Indo-Pakistani War of 1947. Once situated on the edge of Lutyens' Delhi, today, it has the entire city of New Delhi around it. It remained the city's main airport until 1962, when operations shifted to Palam Airport completely by the late 1960s, as it could not support the new bigger aircraft such as jet aircraft.The Delhi Flying Club was established here in 1928 with two de Havilland Moth aircraft named ‘Delhi’ and ‘Roshanara’. The airport functioned until 2001, however in January 2002, due to security considerations in the post 9/11 scenario, the government closed the airport for flying activities, the club only carries out aircraft maintenance courses today. Today it is mostly used for VVIP helicopter passenger flights to the Indira Gandhi International Airport including the President and the Prime Minister. The 190 acre airport complex, has Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan on its grounds, which houses the Ministry of Civil Aviation as well as the headquarters of the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

The Thyagaraj Sport Complex is a sports stadium in New Delhi, India. It is owned by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and was built at the cost of ₹300 crore (US$38 million). It was designed by leading architects PTM of Australia and Kapoor & Associates of Delhi. The venue was built for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, and was named after the Telugu composer Tyagaraja.

National Medical Library is a medical library established on 1 April 1966 by the Government of India. It is located in Ansari Nagar, New Delhi. It aims to provide library and information services to the health science professionals in India. It functions under the administrative control of the Directorate General of Health Services. It has 3.6 lakh volumes of books, reports, bound volume of journals and other literature. It subscribes around 2000 periodicals annually. The library has good collection of 19th century literature. Books are classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification. It became the Indian focal point of HELLIS Network under World Health Organization in 1982. It has been organizing training programmes for medical/health science librarians since 1980. It has organized 17 Orientation Courses in Health Science Librarianship and trained over 150 librarians in India. It has also conducted training courses on specific topics like MEDLARS Searching, Computer Applications, Library management Software, Indexing and Abstracting etc. in different regions. National Workshop was held in 1997 to evaluate these courses. Any qualified medical person, student or faculty can take membership of the library and utilize the services of this vast amount of information in the library. One can also obtain a photocopy of any articles by post by paying nominal fee.

Sarojini Nagar is a neighbourhood in South West Delhi district of Delhi, India. It was one of the sites of the 29 October 2005 Delhi bombings. It is close to Safdarjung Airport, starting 2010, it is serviced by the Sarojini Nagar on the newly constructed underground station on the Pink Line of Delhi Metro.
