The Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City is an Olympic Park which was used during the 1968 Summer Olympics. Found in the area of Mexico City known as the Magdalena Mixhuca, the park continues to serve as a venue for cultural, social, worship and sport events. The Park is administered by the government of Mexico City. It contains numerous sports venues, most notably the Sport Palace and it has hosted important events, most prominently the 1968 Summer Olympics.

The Gran Premio Tecate was a round of the Champ Car World Series held on the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit in Mexico City, Mexico. It was first held in 1980, and in its first two years of competition was the penultimate round of the championship. After its re-inception in 2002, it was the season-ending round. It was to have been the penultimate round of the 2007 season, but became the final round when the Grand Prix Arizona was cancelled.

The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is a 4.304 km (2.674 mi) motorsport race track in Mexico City, Mexico, named after the racing drivers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez. The circuit got its name shortly after it opened when Ricardo Rodríguez died in practice for the non-Championship 1962 Mexican Grand Prix. Ricardo's brother Pedro was also killed behind the wheel nine years later. Since 2015, the track has once again hosted the Formula One Mexican Grand Prix, an event it previously hosted in two separate periods on a different layout, the last occasion of which was in 1992. The circuit is located within the public park of the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City in southeast Mexico City. The circuit is owned by the Government of the City, but is currently operated under concession by Corporación Interamericana de Entretenimiento (CIE) through OCESA, one of CIE's subsidiaries. CIE also organizes the NASCAR and Desafío Corona races in this circuit and rents the circuits to other parties, including race organizers, automobile clubs and track amateurs for fees that are controversial due to their disproportionately high amounts compared to other ex-F1 courses. The NASCAR Xfinity Series started racing at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in the 2005 season and ended in the 2008 season. Martin Truex Jr. won the race in 2005, and Denny Hamlin won in 2006. For the 2007 race, the chicane was removed to increase passing opportunities down the front straight and into turn 1, and Juan Pablo Montoya from Bogotá, Colombia, won the race. Kyle Busch was the winner of the race in 2008. The A1 Grand Prix series started racing at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in the 2006–07 season using the full-track configuration used by Formula One. Alex Yoong from Malaysia won the sprint race and Oliver Jarvis from the United Kingdom won the feature race. In the 2007–08 season, Jonny Reid from New Zealand won the sprint race and Adam Carroll of Team Ireland won the feature race.

The 2004 Gran Premio Telmex/Tecate was the fourteenth and final round of the 2004 Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford season, held on November 7, 2004, at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, Mexico. Sébastien Bourdais won the pole and the race and in doing so also secured his first of four Champ Car titles.

Foro Sol (English: Sun Forum) is a sports and concert venue built in 1993 inside the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in eastern Mexico City. It is located near the Mexico City International Airport and is operated by Grupo CIE.The venue was originally built for staging large music concerts. Initially called the Autódromo, it could accommodate up to 50,000 people. Since 2000, it has been used as a baseball stadium as well, because the only other major baseball stadium in Mexico City (Parque del Seguro Social, formerly Parque Delta) was demolished to build a shopping mall (the shopping mall is named Parque Delta and features a baseball theme). Foro Sol is the second largest concert venue in Mexico City; the largest, Estadio Azteca, has a capacity of 105,064.Its name comes from a popular beer brand of the Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma group.It was home to the Diablos Rojos del México, a Mexican Baseball League team, and hosted Pool B of the 2009 World Baseball Classic March 8–12, 2009.Madonna was the first world-class act to perform at the Foro Sol on 12 November 1993, when it was called Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for her first visit to Mexico in the Girlie Show tour on 10, 12 and 13 November 1993. From 2015 to 2019 for the Mexican Grand Prix, since 2016 for the Mexico City ePrix and since 2021 for the Mexico City Grand Prix, the venue has become part of the track and has turns within the venue. It also increased the Circuit capacity by 25,000 spectators. The venue has been noted for its unique nature.In 2019, the park hosted the Race of Champions and Stadium Super Trucks; the latter served as both a competing ROC category and standalone event to conclude its 2018 season.

The Fernando Montes de Oca Fencing Hall is an indoor sports venue located in the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City area of Mexico City. It hosted the fencing competitions and the fencing part of the modern pentathlon competition of the 1968 Summer Olympics. The Olympic Fencing Hall was built between November 13, 1967, and September, 1968, in the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City. The 310-by-210-foot rectangular structure is covered by a convex roof of corrugated asbestos supported by steel cables. The ground floor had 15 fencing strips—each of which was provided with a two-sided scoreboard, a judges' podium and a control table—and 37 cubicles for competitors. On the south side were facilities for the press, dressing rooms, etc. The north side housed offices, a lounge, a warm-up area and additional dressing rooms and service areas. On the upper floor were grandstands with a seating capacity of 3,000.

Ciudad Deportiva (Spanish: Estación Ciudad Deportiva) is a metro station along Line 9 of the Mexico City Metro. It is named for the nearby the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City. Magdalena Mixuhca Sports City was enlarged in 1967 as part of the project to create the venues needed for the 1968 Summer Olympics. The Sports City is home to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez (racetrack), the Foro Sol (baseball stadium and concert venue), the Agustín Melgar Olympic Velodrome, and the Palacio de los Deportes (indoor arena).The station is elevated and sits in the median of the Viaducto Río Piedad. It was opened 26 August 1987. The logo for the station represents a player engaged in a Mesoamerican ballgame (a similar logo is used for Metro Deportivo 18 de Marzo on lines 3 and 6).In December 2009 a man in his 30s was shot twice in the back next to the station. From 23 April to 15 May 2020, the station was temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico.

Palacio de los Deportes (English: Palace of Sports) is an indoor arena located in Mexico City, Mexico. It is within the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City complex, near the Mexico City International Airport and in front of the Foro Sol, in which sports and artistic events are also celebrated. It is operated by Grupo CIE. The palace is named after Mexican military official Juan Escutia, although it is rarely referred to in its full name. The stadium was constructed for the 1968 Summer Olympics and opened in 1968. The arena currently has 17,800 seats and can be expanded for more for non-sports events.

Velódromo (Spanish: Estación Velódromo) is a metro station located on Line 9 of the Mexico City Metro. It is named after the nearby Agustín Melgar Olympic Velodrome, or bicycle-racing venue, built for the 1968 Summer Olympics that were held in Mexico City.Velódromo is an elevated station built at the portion of Line 9 that branches away from Viaducto Río de La Piedad to follow Eje 3 Sur (Avenida Morelos) when travelling west toward Metro Tacubaya. The station opened on 26 August 1987. The logo for the station shows the silhouette of a bicycle racer. It serves the Colonia Jardín Balbuena and the Granjas México neighborhoods.Local bus service to the station includes trolleybus line S of STE, which runs west to Metro Chapultepec along the arterial thoroughfares known as Eje 2 Sur and Eje 2A Sur and is one of two high-frequency trolleybus lines that STE calls "Zero-Emissions Corridors".From 23 April to 15 May 2020, the station was temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico.

The Agustín Melgar Olympic Velodrome is a velodrome located in the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City sports complex located in Mexico City, Mexico.

Gómez Farías (Mexican Spanish pronunciation ) is a station of the Mexico City Metro in Venustiano Carranza, Mexico City. It is an underground station with two side platforms served by Line 1 (the Pink Line) between Boulevard Puerto Aéreo and Zaragoza stations. It serves the colonias (neighborhoods) of Federal and Gómez Farías; the station receives its name from the latter, which in turn is named after Valentín Gómez Farías, the 7th president of Mexico (he served intermittently from 1833 to 1847). The pictogram depicts a representation of the Mexican Constitution of 1857, which was promoted by Gómez Farías during his tenure as the president of Congress. Gómez Farías station opened on 4 September 1969 with service westward toward Chapultepec and eastward toward Zaragoza. The facilities are partially accessible for people with disabilities as it has escalators. In 2019, the station had an average daily ridership of 28,385 passengers, making it the 48th busiest station in the network and the 11th busiest of the line.

The 34th federal electoral district of the Federal District (Distrito electoral federal 34 del Distrito Federal) is a defunct federal electoral district of Mexico. Occupying a portion of what is today Mexico City, it was in existence from 1978 to 1996. During that time, it returned one deputy to the Chamber of Deputies for each three-year legislative session by means of the first-past-the-post system, electing its first in the 1979 mid-terms and its last in the 1994 general election. Votes cast in the district also counted towards the calculation of proportional representation ("plurinominal") deputies elected from the country's electoral regions. The 31st to 40th districts were abolished in the Federal Electoral Institute's 1996 redistricting process because the capital's population no longer warranted that number of seats in Congress.
