Orleans, Oregon

The Dead River is a short tributary of the Willamette River east of Corvallis in the U.S. state of Oregon. It begins at the lower end of Colorado Lake in Linn County and flows generally east along the south side of Truax Island, which separates the Dead River from the main stem Willamette. The Dead River then turns north and enters the larger river after crossing into Benton County at Half Moon Bend northeast of Orleans.The only named tributary of the Dead River is Owl Creek, which feeds Colorado Lake.

Muddy Creek is a tributary of the Willamette River that flows through parts of Lane and Linn counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. It begins near Coburg Ridge, northeast of Eugene, and meanders north across the floor of the Willamette Valley roughly parallel to the river. It joins the East Channel of the Willamette upstream of Corvallis.Muddy Creek was so named by pioneer settlers on account of its muddy waters. Its entry in Oregon Geographic Names says, "It is a sluggish stream, and it is no surprise that the pioneers named it as they did." The name appeared in print as early as 1857.The creek's main tributaries are Dry Muddy Creek and Little Muddy Creek. A different Muddy Creek with the same characteristics but on the other (western) side of the Willamette flows into Marys River, which enters the Willamette at Corvallis.

The Children's Farm Home School is a former school building on U.S. Route 20 in Oregon between Corvallis and Albany; it is located on a 300-acre (120 ha) campus now owned by Trillium Family Services. The Children's Farm Home School was listed in 2008 on the National Register of Historic Places for Benton County; the listing was one of the first steps taken as part of a restoration effort that ended up taking five years.

Riverside is an unincorporated community in Linn County, Oregon. It lies at an elevation of 223 feet (68 m).

The Hyslop Field Research Laboratory is an agricultural research facility operated by the Oregon State University Crop and Soil Science Department. Also known as The Hyslop Farm, it is located on Highway 20 about half way between Corvallis and Albany, Oregon.

The Van Buren Street Bridge is a swing span, steel motor vehicle bridge spanning the Willamette River at Corvallis in the U.S. state of Oregon. Opened in 1913, the black colored bridge was the first bridge across the river at Corvallis and is now the third oldest bridge across the river. Owned by the state and maintained by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), the 708-foot (216 m) long span is of a through truss design and carries one lane of traffic of Oregon Route 34 eastbound from Corvallis into neighboring Linn County. The bridge no longer is able to swing open. A project to replace the bridge is underway and is scheduled to be completed in 2026.

Crystal Lake Cemetery, located in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in June 2004. It is a burial ground that provides Corvallis residents with funeral and burial services. Although the tombs found at Crystal Lake Cemetery are not the oldest ones in Benton County, it is said that Crystal Lake Cemetery is one of the oldest cemetery in continuous use. Memorial Day services have been offered by it for about 60 years. The Corvallis American Legion Post 11 and the Corvallis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 640 now sponsored the activity near the Civil War monument.

KOAC (550 AM) is a radio station licensed to Corvallis, Oregon. The station is owned by Oregon Public Broadcasting, and airs OPB's news and talk programming, consisting of syndicated programming from NPR, American Public Media and Public Radio Exchange, as well as locally produced offerings. Due to its transmitter power and location near the bottom of the AM dial, KOAC's covers most of Oregon's densely populated area during the day, providing at least secondary coverage from Portland to Roseburg. It is the only directional AM radio station in the United States which uses a shunt-fed antenna.

The Jesse H. Caton House, located in Corvallis, Oregon, is a house listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Julian Hotel, located in Corvallis, Oregon, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was first constructed in 1892 (named Hotel Corvallis), before a major remodel in 1911 changed the name and style of the building as well as added a fourth floor.

The Elias Woodward House, also known as Woodward-Gellatly House, in Corvallis, Oregon was built in 1871, in a Gothic or Rural Gothic architectural style.It was designated by the City of Corvallis as a Historic Resource on December 2, 1982.It was further listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Benton County State Bank Building, also known as The Madison Building, located in Corvallis, Oregon, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.It was built in 1907. It is a two-story brick building that is approximately 57.2 by 100.75 feet (17.43 m × 30.71 m) in plan.
