The Hyslop Field Research Laboratory is an agricultural research facility operated by the Oregon State University Crop and Soil Science Department. Also known as The Hyslop Farm, it is located on Highway 20 about half way between Corvallis and Albany, Oregon.

Lewisburg is an unincorporated community in Benton County, Oregon, United States. Lewisburg lies at the intersection of Oregon Route 99W and Lewisburg Avenue. KOAC (550 AM) is a radio station licensed to Corvallis, Oregon. The station is owned by Oregon Public Broadcasting, and airs OPB's news and talk programming, consisting of syndicated programming from NPR, American Public Media and Public Radio Exchange, as well as locally produced offerings. Due to its transmitter power and location near the bottom of the AM dial, KOAC's covers most of Oregon's densely populated area during the day, providing at least secondary coverage from Portland to Roseburg. It is the only directional AM radio station in the United States which uses a shunt-fed antenna.

Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center is a 188-bed teaching hospital located in Corvallis, Oregon, United States. Founded in 1922, it is the only hospital in the city. The hospital operates a level II trauma center, and serves the Linn, Benton, and Lincoln County area. The hospital operates a number of residency training and fellowship programs for newly graduated physicians, psychologists, and pharmacists. The hospital serves as the hub for the operations of Samaritan Health Services. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

The Dead River is a short tributary of the Willamette River east of Corvallis in the U.S. state of Oregon. It begins at the lower end of Colorado Lake in Linn County and flows generally east along the south side of Truax Island, which separates the Dead River from the main stem Willamette. The Dead River then turns north and enters the larger river after crossing into Benton County at Half Moon Bend northeast of Orleans.The only named tributary of the Dead River is Owl Creek, which feeds Colorado Lake.

Orleans was a city in Linn County, Oregon, United States. It was established around 1850 and destroyed in the Great Flood of 1862. It was not rebuilt. The city was located across the Willamette River from Corvallis. The Orleans cemetery survived because it was built on high ground at 44.5697°N 123.1913°W / 44.5697; -123.1913.

Crescent Valley High School, also known as CV, is a four-year public secondary school in Corvallis, Oregon, United States. Opened in 1971 in a rural location north of the city, it is one of the two traditional high schools of the Corvallis School District.

Peavy Arboretum (40 acres) is an arboretum operated by Oregon State University and located on Arboretum Road, Corvallis, Oregon. It is open to the public daily without charge. The arboretum was dedicated by the university in 1926, operated as a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp from 1933–1942, and reverted to College of Forestry management in 1964. While the CCC was active, they planted trees, expanded the nursery, constructed Cronemiller Lake, and built roads, trails, and firebreaks.
