Airport Terminal 3 (Dubai Metro)

Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 is an airport terminal at Dubai International Airport serving Dubai, UAE. When completed and opened on 14 October 2008, it was the largest building in the world by floor area and is currently the world's largest airport terminal, with over 1,713,000 m2 (18,440,000 sq ft) of space. The partly underground Terminal 3 was built at a cost of US$4.5 billion, exclusively for Emirates and has a capacity of 43 million passengers. However it was announced on 6 September 2012 that Terminal 3 would no longer be Emirates exclusive, as Emirates and Qantas had set up an extensive code sharing agreement. Qantas would be the second and only one of two airlines to fly in and out of Terminal 3. This deal also allows Qantas to use the A380 Dedicated Concourse A. The terminal has 5 Airbus A380 gates at Concourse B, and 18 at Concourse A. (though since 2018, Qantas no longer flies to Dubai, as nonstop QF9/10 from Perth to London were launched and A380 again routed via Singapore instead). In December 2018, flydubai commenced flights from Terminal 3 to selected destinations to facilitate transfers to/from Emirates.

Airport Terminal 1 (Arabic: لمطار- مبنى رقم 1) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE, serving the Terminal 1 of Dubai International Airport.The station opened as part of the Red Line on 30 April 2010. It is close to Dubai International Airport – Parking B. The station is also close to a number of bus routes.

Emirates (Arabic: طيران الإمارات) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE. It is located very close to Dubai International Airport. The station is connected to the entrance of the Emirates Group headquarters.

On 24 August 1984, seven members of the banned All India Sikh Students Federation hijacked an Indian Airlines jetliner Indian Airlines Flight 421 (IATA No.: IC421), a Boeing 737-2A8, on a domestic flight from the Delhi-Palam Airport to Srinagar Airport with 74 people on board and demanded to be flown to the United States. The plane travelled to Lahore, then to Karachi and finally to Dubai, where the defence minister of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum negotiated the release of the passengers and the surrender of all hijackers to UAE authorities. It was related to the secessionist insurgency in the Indian state of Punjab. The Khalistan movement was a separatist movement in Indian Punjab and UK where a small portion of the Sikh community openly asked for a different country for Sikh people (Khalistan). The hijackers were subsequently extradited by UAE authorities to India, who handed over the pistol recovered from the hijackers. Indian civil servant K. Subrahmanyam was on board an Indian Airlines flight (IC 421) on 24 August 1984 when the plane was hijacked. The arrested hijackers later claimed in court that it was Subrahmanyam who "planned the entire hijacking to examine nuclear installations in Pakistan."IC 421 hijacking was mentioned in the book IA's Terror Trail, written by Anil Sharma. This hijacking was also an important part of the story of 2021 Hindi film Bell Bottom. Indian Airlines, India's sole domestic airline up to 1993, was hijacked 16 times, from 1971 to 1999.

It is also the nineteenth-busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic, one of the busiest cargo airports in the world, the busiest airport for Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 movements, and the airport with the highest average number of passengers per flight. In 2017, the airport handled 88 million passengers and 2.65 million tonnes of cargo and registered 409,493 aircraft movements.Dubai International Airport is situated in the Al Garhoud district, 2.5 nautical miles (4.6 km; 2.9 mi) east of Dubai and spread over an area of 7,200 acres (2,900 ha) of land. Terminal 3 is the second-largest building in the world by floor space and the largest airport terminal in the world. In July 2019, Dubai International airport installed the largest solar energy system in the region's airports as part of Dubai's goal to reduce 30 percent of the city energy consumption by 2030.Emirates Airline has its hub airport in Dubai International (DXB) and has their own terminal 3 with 3 concourses that they share with Flydubai. The Emirates hub is the largest airline hub in the Middle East; Emirates handles 51% of all passenger traffic and accounts for approximately 42% of all aircraft movements at the airport. Dubai Airport is also the base for low-cost carrier flydubai which handles 13% of passenger traffic and 25% of aircraft movements at DXB. The airport has a total capacity of 90 million passengers annually. As of January 2016, there are over 7,700 weekly flights operated by 140 airlines to over 270 destinations across all inhabited continents. Over 63% of travelers using the airport in 2018 were connecting passengers.In 2014 Dubai International indirectly supported over 400,000 jobs and contributed over US$26.7 billion to the economy, which represented around 27% of Dubai's GDP and 21% of the employment in Dubai.

Grammar School in Dubai is a private school located in Al Garhoud, Dubai, UAE. The school is managed by Athena Education. Grammar School follows the British National Curriculum, offering the elementary school courses for students from FS1 up to Year 6, the middle school programme leading up to the IGCSE programme for students from Year 7 to Year 11, and the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and A2 level programmes for students in Year 12 and Year 13. The English National Curriculum school caters to K-12 students who are an international group but are predominantly Pakistani and Indian.

The Roads and Transport Authority (Arabic: هيئة الطرق والمواصلات), commonly known as RTA, is the major independent government roads & transportation authority in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was founded in 2005 and is responsible for planning and executing transport and traffic projects, along with legislation and strategic plans of transportation in the city. It is a department of the Government of Dubai.

Gulf Indian High School or GIHS is a CBSE affiliated school located in the Al Garhoud Area of Dubai . It is a senior secondary school with students from 3-17 of age accommodating classes from KG to 12. Students in 12th prepare for their All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) as it is their senior and final year. The school is affiliated to the CBSE, New Delhi. Dominated by discipline and well knit community, assessed by the KHDA it has been coming out with an 'Acceptable' consistently throughout the years. John M. Thomas, the school's founder and chairman, died in July 2022.

Al Falah University or AFU (Arabic: جامعة الفلاح) is a university in the Al Garhoud neighborhood of Dubai in the Emirate of Dubai. The institution was established in 2013 and opened its doors for its first batch of students in 2015. It is currently inactive; the university was put on probation by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) in the United Arab Emirates in October 2021, and its accreditation and license were revoked around October 2022.The University had four colleges and academic programs: the College of Business Administration, the College of Law, the College of Mass Communication, and the College of Arts and Humanities. As of October 2022, the University's website has removed mention of its programs and admissions.

New Indian Model School, Dubai is an Indian School in UAE. It was established in 1980 and is located in Al Garhoud, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is also known as N.I.Model School or NIMS Dubai. The school was founded by Al-Haj (Dr.) M. K. Kamaluddin, to provide affordable, modern education to the Indian community. The school was inaugurated on 1 May 1980 by H.E. Rashid Abdulla Thaha, Deputy Minister of Education, in the presence of Hon. Late. C. H. Mohammed Koya, the then Chief Minister of Kerala and Mr. Muthu Venkataramanan, the Consul General of India. The school now caters for the educational needs of around seven thousand children

The Dubai Tennis Championships or Dubai Open (also known as the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships for sponsorship reasons) (formerly known for sponsorship reasons as the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships and the Dubai Duty Free Men's and Women's Championships) is a professional tennis tournament owned and organized by Dubai Duty Free and held annually in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on outdoor hardcourts. The tournament takes place at the end of February and organizes a men's and women's event. The tournament takes place under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. In 2001 the ATP upgraded the tournament from an ATP 250 level to a more prestigious ATP 500 level tournament. On the WTA Tour, it alternates yearly between a WTA 1000 level tournament and a WTA 500 level tournament. Prior to the 1990s there was an annual Dubai Tennis Championship played at the British Embassy. The Dubai Tennis Championships was the third tournament in pro tennis history to award equal prize money for both men and women, until 2021. The courts usually have a medium-fast speed considered to be similar in speed to the Shanghai and Swiss Indoor (Basel) courts.
