The Dandenong Creek (Aboriginal Bunwurrung: Narra Narrawong or Dandinnong) is an urban creek of the Port Phillip catchment, located in the eastern and south-eastern Greater Melbourne region of the Australian east coast state of Victoria. The creek descends approximately 550 metres (1,800 ft) over its course of 53 kilometres (33 mi) before joining the Eumemmerring Creek to form the Patterson River (of which it can be considered the de facto main stem) and eventually draining into the Beaumaris Bay. The first European to see the creek near its source was in 1839 and is believed to be Daniel Bunce, a botanist.

The Bend Road archaeological site is an open site in Melbourne, Australia. It was discovered during survey and archaeological testing for the proposed Scoresby Freeway, which became the EastLink Freeway. The site is located in two separate areas on either side of Bend Road, Dandenong South (Bend Road 1 to the north, Bend Road 2 to the south) where the freeway now intersects the former road, and originally covered about 12 hectares.

The Division of Isaacs is an Australian Electoral Division in the state of Victoria. It is located in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, on the eastern shores of Port Phillip Bay. Bangholme is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 31 km (19 mi) south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Greater Dandenong local government area. Bangholme recorded a population of 749 at the 2021 census.Located adjacent to the urban area, the area is semi-rural and is part of Melbourne's South East Green Wedge, with a significant part of the land used by the Melbourne Water Eastern Sewage Treatment Plant, and the remainder being mostly small land holdings, with some used for horse acreage. The EastLink tollway passes through the area. Willow Lodge Village, a mobile home development, is located on Frankston-Dandenong Road.

The centre services the suburbs of the City of Greater Dandenong such as Keysborough, Noble Park, Springvale as well as other local suburbs. There are 128 stores at Parkmore along with 2,600 car parking spaces, 130 of which are located undercover.

South-Eastern Metropolitan Region is one of the eight electoral regions of Victoria, Australia, which elects five members to the Victorian Legislative Council (also referred to as the upper house) by proportional representation. The region was created in 2006 following the 2005 reform of the Victorian Legislative Council. The Albanian Mosque (Albanian: Xhamija Shqiptare Dandenong Këshavë), also known as the Albanian Islamic Centre Mosque and Albanian Sakie Islamic Centre, is a mosque located in Dandenong, a south eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is one of the earliest mosques in the country.The mosque is a large building, built next to Dandenong Creek and residential neighbourhood, with a minaret, and community facilities. Associated with the Albanian Australian community, the mosque is owned by and the centre of the Albanian Sakie Islamic Society of Dandenong.

The Eastern Treatment Plant is an 1,100 hectares (4.2 square miles) sewage treatment plant, located in the suburb of Bangholme in Victoria, Australia, 31 kilometres (19 miles) southeast of Melbourne's central business district. The plant was built in 1975 and is owned by Melbourne Water. Following treatment, some water is used as recycled water in the local area. South East Water is a major supplier of recycled water from the Eastern Treatment Plant. The rest is pumped through 56 kilometres (35 miles) of pipeline to discharge into Bass Strait at Boags Rocks on the Mornington Peninsula.

The Dandenong rolling stock factory in South Dandenong, Melbourne, Australia, was opened in 1954 by Commonwealth Engineering. It has since been operated in succession by ABB, Adtranz and Bombardier and Alstom.

Keysborough is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 27 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Greater Dandenong local government area. Keysborough recorded a population of 30,018 at the 2021 census.Keysborough was named after the Keys family who founded the town sometime after 1878.Keysborough is one of the largest suburbs in Melbourne by land area. Geographically, it is split into three sections, the southern portion of the suburb includes market gardens and semi-rural properties extending to its southern boundaries Pillars Road and the Mordialloc Creek, the middle portion of the suburb features large residential and industrial development which began in the 2000s, and the northern section of the suburb to its northern boundaries with Noble Park and Springvale South generally features housing predominantly built from the 1960s extending well into the 1990s. The suburb's western boundary is Springvale Road and eastern boundary is Dandenong Creek/EastLink. The Post Office opened on 27 November 1973 and was known as Noble Park South until 1978.Today, Keysborough facilitates several primary and secondary schools, including the Keysborough campus of Haileybury College and Lighthouse Christian College. Parkmore Shopping Centre includes a Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, Big W, Australia Post and an assortment of specialty stores. As of 2002 the southern corner of the suburb was under development and new housing estates have been developed including The Keys, Hidden Grove, and Crystal Waters. In 2017, Elmswood and Somerfield are new housing estates in southern Keysborough currently under development.

Dandenong railway station is the junction for the Pakenham and Cranbourne lines in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of the same name, and opened on 8 October 1877.A number of train stabling sidings are located near the station, including to the north of the station on either side of the railway line, as well as parallel to the platforms. A little-used goods yard was once located to the south of the station.The disused General Motors station was situated between Dandenong and Hallam.
