Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart is a private, Roman Catholic, all-girls middle school and high school in Bellevue, Washington, USA. The school is a member of the Society of the Sacred Heart schools and is part of the global Network of Sacred Heart Schools. Forest Ridge educates girls in grades 5 through 12.

Newport High School (NHS) is a public high school in Bellevue, Washington. It serves students in grades 9–12 in the southern part of the Bellevue School District, including the neighborhoods of Eastgate, Factoria, Newport Hills, Newport Shores, Somerset, The Summit, and Sunset. As of the 2017–18 school year, the principal is Dion Yahoudy. The mascot is the Knight, and the school colors are scarlet and gold.

Pacific Coast Company House No. 75, also known as Baima House, is a private residence in Newcastle, Washington. Built in 1880 or earlier, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The house is the only surviving structure associated with the early development of coal mining at Newcastle and is an example of the type of housing in which miners lived.

Music Works Northwest is one of the largest non-profit community music schools in the Pacific Northwest. It is a member of the Washington Music Educators Association, the Eastside Arts Coalition, and the Bellevue Arts Commission. Newcastle is an Eastside city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 10,380 at the 2010 census and an estimated 12,292 in 2019.Although Newcastle was not incorporated until 1994, it has been an important settlement and town since the late 19th century and played a major role in the development of Seattle and the surrounding region. Newcastle was one of the region's first coal mining areas and its railroad link to Seattle was the first in King County. Timber also played a role in the early history of Newcastle. Coal delivered by rail from Newcastle's mines to Seattle fueled the growth of the Port of Seattle and attracted railroads, most notably the Great Northern Railway. The Newcastle coal mine began producing coal by the 1870s. More than 13 million tons of coal had been extracted by the time the mine closed in 1963. The history of Newcastle's coal mining industry and the legacy of the mines' many Chinese laborers are memorialized in place names such as Coal Creek, Coal Creek Parkway, and the Coal Creek and China Creek golf courses. In CNN Money's 2011 rankings of best places to live in the United States, Newcastle was in the top 20, along with nearby Sammamish. It ranked 17th in Newsweek's 2009 rankings of best places to live in the United States.

The Standard Oil Gasoline Station on 150th Ave. S.E. in Bellevue, Washington is the last remaining gas station branded with the Standard Oil name in Washington, United States and is one of less than 20 in the country to carry the historic name. In this case, it maintains this branding to maintain Chevron's claim to the trademark in Washington. It is located at 3725 150th Ave. S.E. in Bellevue, just off from Interstate 90. It is also the last fuel station before the I-405/I-90 interchange. The station was built in 1972 and has had one of Chevron's proprietary ExtraMile convenience stores since at least 2007. Before then, it was a Chevron Food Mart. Besides the name and signage, it operates as a typical Chevron self-service station.

Bellevue College (BC) is a public college in Bellevue, Washington. It is the largest of the 34 institutions that make up the Washington Community and Technical Colleges system and the third-largest institution of higher education overall in the state (behind the University of Washington and Washington State University). The institution offers transfer associate degree programs that cover the first two years of a college education, bachelor's degree programs, professional-technical degrees and certificates, a large continuing education program, and pre-college programs. The college also has a variety of distance education and online learning options. BC's service district includes the public school districts of Bellevue, Mercer Island, Issaquah, Skykomish and Snoqualmie Valley. The current President of Bellevue College is former Governor of Washington and US Secretary Commerce Gary Locke.
