Pipers Creek (Seattle)

Carkeek Park is a 216 acres (87 ha) park located in the Broadview neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The park contains Piper Orchard, Pipers Creek (and its tributaries Venema Creek and Mohlendorph Creek), play and picnic areas, picnic shelters, and hiking trails. A pedestrian bridge across the main lines of the BNSF Railway connects to the Carkeek Park sand beach on Puget Sound. Park program activities are largely out of the Carkeek Park Environmental Learning Center.

It is part of the parcel of formerly unincorporated King County that was annexed by Seattle on January 4, 1954.The Crown Hill Cemetery is located in the neighborhood.

Dunn Gardens in Seattle, Washington, is a privately owned 7.5-acre (3.0 ha) property composed of the remaining acreage of the estate of Arthur G. Dunn Sr., who bought the property in 1914 as a summer get-a-way for his family, and contracted the landscaping to the Olmsted Brothers. Upon his death, the property was inherited by his children. His son Edward B. Dunn provided for the care of his share of the estate in his will. A trust was created two years after his death to oversee the entire property. Dunn Gardens were listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 15, 1994, and is open for special public events and docent-led guided tours April through July, and from September through October.

The Pacific Northwest Museum of Motorcycling, founded in 1994, is a virtual motorcycle museum headquartered in Seattle, Washington. In the mid-1990s it had a physical location at Rainier Square in Seattle. The museum preserves history of motorcycling in the Pacific Northwest, and has sponsored motorcycle exhibits such as the 2014 Marymount Museum show hosted by LeMay Family Collection Foundation. The museum holds over 6,000 photographs documenting motorcycling in the Pacific Northwest.The museum is a member of Association of King County Historical Organizations.

Loyal Heights was established by businessman Harry Whitney Treat in 1906 as part of the independent city of Ballard. Named for his daughter Loyal Graef Treat, the area would be plotted for development as a streetcar suburb after the construction of a new electric streetcar line operated by the Loyal Railway Company.In 1907, the city of Ballard—including Loyal Heights—was annexed into the city of Seattle.The city built an elementary school in the neighborhood in 1932, and opened a playfield in 1941.

Golden Gardens Park is a public park in Ballard, a neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The park includes wetlands, beaches, hiking trails, and picnic and playground areas. The park's bathhouse was designated a historic landmark by the City of Seattle in 2005.
