Notre-Dame-du-Travail (Also known as Notre-Dame-du-Travail de Plaisance) is a Roman Catholic church located at 59 rue Vercingetorix in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. It was built between 1897 and 1902 for the largely working-class population of the Plaisance neighborhood. It is notable particularly for its exposed steel framework in the interior, resembling a factory, in contrast to the more traditional exterior. The entire church was registered as an historic monument on July 5, 2016.

The Pullman Paris Montparnasse Hotel is skyscraper hotel located near the Gare Montparnasse in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, France. With 953 rooms, it is the third-largest hotel in Paris after the Le Méridien Étoile and the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile.

Plaisance (French pronunciation: [plɛzɑ̃s] (listen)) is a station on line Line 13 of the Paris Métro in the 14th arrondissement. The station opened on 21 January 1937 as part of the original line 14 between Bienvenüe and Porte de Vanves. This line became part of line 13 on 9 November 1976. The station is named after the Château du Maine which was built in the 17th century and possessed an immense park. The word "plaisance" is equivalent to the English "pleasance", that is a pleasure garden. It was purchased in 1842 by a surveyor called Couesnon whose son subdivided it, creating the district of Plaisance between 1858 and 1860, which became one of the largest slums of Paris. The Compagnie générale des omnibus (a major 19th century operator of horse buses and later trams and motor buses) razed the castle to build garages.

The Jardin Atlantique is a public park and garden located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, on the roof that covers the tracks and platforms of the Gare Montparnasse railway station. It has an area of 3.4 hectares. It was created by the landscape architects Brun, Penna and Schnitzler, and opened in 1994.

Gare Montparnasse (French pronunciation: ​[ɡaʁ mɔ̃paʁnas]; Montparnasse station), officially Paris-Montparnasse, is one of the six large Paris railway termini, located in the 14th and 15th arrondissements. The station opened in 1840, was rebuilt in 1852 and relocated in 1969 to a new station just south of the original location – where subsequently the prominent Montparnasse Tower was constructed. It is a central element to the Montparnasse area. The original station is noted for the Montparnasse derailment, where a steam train crashed through the station in 1895, an event captured in widely known photographs – and reproduced in full scale in several locations.The station serves intercity TGV trains to the west and southwest of France including Tours, Bordeaux, Rennes and Nantes, and suburban and regional services on the Transilien Paris – Montparnasse routes. There is also a metro station. Gare Montparnasse is the only mainline terminus in Paris not directly connected to the RER system, though the Montparnasse main line is connected to the RER at Versailles-Chantiers and the LGV Atlantique at Massy Palaiseau.

Musée Adzak, also known as Adzak–Espace d'Art International, is an art museum located at 3, rue Jonquoy, Paris, France. It is located in the Plaisance District, in the southern part of 14th arrondissement. The nearest Paris Métro stop is Plaisance on Line 13. The museum is in the former atelier built by British photographer and sculptor Roy Adzak (1927–1987), who was born Royston Wright. The studio exhibits paintings, sculpture, and photography by a wide range of artists, and encourages international meetings and dialogue in its space.

Gaîté (French pronunciation: ​[ɡɛte]) is a station on line Line 13 of the Paris Métro in the 14th arrondissement. The station opened on 21 January 1937 as part of the original line 14 between Bienvenüe and Porte de Vanves. This line became part of line 13 on 9 November 1976. The station is named after the Rue de la Gaîté, which was a country road connecting Clamart with the Barrière du Montparnasse, a gate in the Wall of the Farmers-General at the intersection of the Boulevard Edgar-Quinet and the Rue du Montparnasse (the location of Edgar Quinet station), built between 1784 and 1791 by the Ferme générale, the corporation of tax farmers, to enforce the collection of taxes of goods, including wine, imported into Paris. Guinguettes, restaurants and theatres were built outside the wall, so they could avoid these taxes. "Gaîté" is an old French spelling of "gaiety", reflecting this trade. In 2021, it is planned to rename the station Gaîté - Joséphine Baker after American-born French dancer, singer, actress and World War II spy Joséphine Baker.

The Musée du Général Leclerc de Hauteclocque et de la Libération de Paris – Musée Jean Moulin was originally a museum located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris at 23, Allée de la 2e DB, Jardin Atlantique, Paris, France. It is open daily except Mondays; as of 2016 admission was free of charge. The museum opened in 1994 as Musée Jean Moulin to commemorate Jean Moulin, a major figure of the French Resistance, and the occupation of Paris during World War II. A prominent member of the French Resistance, Antoinette Sasse, bequeathed funds in her will to assist in the establishment of the museum. Its accompanying museum, the Musée du Général Leclerc de Hauteclocque et de la Libération de Paris, commemorates Maréchal Philippe Leclerc de Hauteclocque and the liberation of Paris. The museum moved to the Ledoux Pavilion in the Place Denfert-Rochereau in the 14th arrondissement and was opened in October 2019, in time to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Paris.

The Théâtre de la Gaîté-Montparnasse is a venue situated at 26, rue de la Gaîté, in the Montparnasse quarter of Paris, in the 14th arrondissement. It opened in 1868 and seats 399 people. In addition to functioning as a popular café-concert venue for many decades, it evolved into a legitimate theatre, offering not only commercial plays but also, by the end of the nineteenth century, occasional new experimentalist plays of the Independent Theatre movement. One such effort was Paul Fort's Théâtre d'Art disappointing presentation, on 5 February 1892, of a French translation of Marlowe's The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus.

Bobino at 20 rue de la Gaîté, in the Montparnasse area of Paris (14th arrondissement), France, is a music hall theatre that has seen most of the biggest names of 20th century French music perform there. During its long history it was also known as Les Folies Bobino (1873), Studio Bobino (1991), Gaieté Bobino and Bobin’o (2007).

La Comédie-Italienne is a theatre in the Montparnasse district of Paris, presenting Italian commedia dell'arte plays in French translation.The present-day Comédie-Italienne is situated at 19 rue de la Gaîté, where it was established in 1980 by the director Attilio Maggiulli, after the closing of his Teatrino Italiano, founded in 1975 on the avenue du Maine. The Comédie-Italienne remains the only Italian theatre in France and performs exclusively plays by Italian writers, classic and contemporary, in French translation.

The 14th arrondissement of Paris (French: XIVe arrondissement [katɔʁzjɛm aʁɔ̃dismɑ̃]), officially named arrondissement de l'Observatoire (IPA: [aʁɔ̃dismɑ̃ də lɔpsɛʁvatwaʁ]; meaning "arrondissement of the Observatory", after the Paris Observatory), is one of the 20 arrondissements of the capital city of France. It is situated on the left bank of the River Seine and contains most of the Montparnasse district. Although today Montparnasse is best known for its skyscraper, the Tour Montparnasse, and its major railway terminus, the Gare Montparnasse, these are both actually located in the neighboring 15th arrondissement. The district has traditionally been home to many artists as well as a Breton community, arrived at the beginning of the 20th century upon the creation of the Montparnasse railway terminus. Universities located in the 14th arrondissement also include the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, which is located near the Parc Montsouris, the Stade Charléty and the catacombs; and the Paris School of Economics.
