The Molière Award recognises achievement in live French theatre and is the national theatre award of France. The awards are presented and decided by the Association professionnelle et artistique du théâtre (APAT) and supported by the Ministry of Culture at an annual ceremony, called the Nuit des Molières ("Night of the Molières") in Paris. The awards are given for French productions and performances. The Molière Awards are considered the highest French theatre honour, the equivalent to the American Tony Award, the British Olivier Award and the Spanish Premios Max. The award was created by Georges Cravenne, who was also the creator of the César Award for cinema. The name of the award is an homage to the seventeenth-century French dramatist Molière.

The arrondissement of Créteil is an arrondissement of France in the Val-de-Marne department in the Île-de-France region. It has 16 communes. Its population is 310,758 (2016), and its area is 99.8 km2 (38.5 sq mi).

The Créteil International Women's Film Festival (in French Festival international de films de femmes de Créteil) is an annual event in Créteil, France, founded by Jackie Buet in 1978 to showcase the directing talents of female filmmakers who, at the time, had difficulty getting their films adequately distributed. The first festival was held in 1979 in Sceaux. It transferred to Créteil in 1985.Located in Créteil, a city southeast of Paris, today the festival is 10 non-stop days premiering 50 or more new films directed by one or more women. The festival also offers film classes, thematic forums and debates. The competition is open to women from around the world who have made a feature-length documentary, a short length fiction and a documentary film. Their work is judged by a jury of 6 cinema professionals. The festival offers a number of prizes including several Audience awards and the "Grand Jury Prize." There is a festival archive containing more than 10,000 films by women. In 2005, recent directors featured include works from Hong Kong, Butterfly by MAK Yan Yan, Ho Yuk by YAU Ching and Lim Poh Huat by Lee Wong from Singapore.

Créteil (French pronunciation: [kʁetɛj] (listen)) is a commune in the southeastern suburbs of Paris, Île-de-France. It is located 11.5 km (7.1 mi) from the centre of Paris. Créteil is the préfecture (capital) of the Val-de-Marne department as well as the seat of the Arrondissement of Créteil. The city is, moreover, the seat of a Roman Catholic diocese and of one of France's 30 nationwide académies (districts) of the Ministry of National Education.

Stade Dominique Duvauchelle is a multi-use stadium in Créteil, France. It takes its name from a local sports journalist who died shortly before the stadium's inauguration. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of US Créteil-Lusitanos. The stadium was built with an original capacity of approximately 6,000. It increased its capacity to 12,150 people in February 2006.Its record attendance for a league match was for a match between Créteil and Saint Etienne on 5 August 2001 with 6325 spectators. The record for a cup match is 8000 in a match hosted there by amateur team US Lusitanos Saint-Maur against Bordeaux in the round of 32 of the French Cup on 19 January 2002.

Pointe du Lac (French pronunciation: ​[pwɛ̃t dy lak]) is a station on line 8 of the Paris Métro in the commune of Créteil. It is the eastern terminus of the line and is elevated.

Créteil–Université (French pronunciation: ​[kʁetɛj ynivɛʁsite]) is a station on line 8 of the Paris Métro in the commune of Créteil. It is on the surface. The station opened on 10 September 1974 with the extension of the line from Créteil–L'Échat to Créteil–Préfecture. Its name refers to the nearby Paris 12 Val de Marne University.

Saint-Christophe Church is a Catholic church located in Créteil (Val-de-Marne). It is dedicated to Saint Christopher.

Les Choux de Créteil is a group of ten cylindrical buildings, each 15 stories in height, in the Paris suburb of Créteil. The project is known as Les Choux (the cabbages), due to the unusual shape of their balconies. The buildings were designed by architect Gérard Grandval, and were completed in 1974.The project was recognized as a "Heritage of the 20th Century" by the French Ministry of Culture (16 December 2008); at the time the work was regarded as a symbol of 1970s French architecture. The buildings' unique shape is intended to be functional; the apartments' living spaces are closer to the windows, and the 2-meter-tall balconies provide outdoor access and privacy at the same time. The curved balconies were intended to be planted with all sorts of ornamental plants and small trees, thus causing the aspect of the buildings to change according to seasons, but that part of the project was never carried out.The project was initiated in 1966, in an area which had been used for a century to produce much of the vegetables for Parisian tables. This fact was undoubtedly on the architect's mind as he envisioned his structures.In 1998 the municipality opted to upgrade the area. The central sprout, largely dedicated to families of precarious means, was rebuilt. To encourage social intermixing, the leaders dedicated a fourth of the apartments to students.

Paris-East Créteil University (French: Université Paris-Est Créteil, commonly known as Paris XII or UPEC) is a public university located in Créteil, Île-de-France, France. It was inaugurated in 1970. The university offers training in law, arts and humanities, science and technology, economics and development, administration and exchange, educational science, as well as social sciences. The university is composed of seventeen institutes situated in Créteil (Val-de-Marne), Seine-Saint-Denis, Seine-et-Marne, and in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.

The Hôpital Henri-Mondor is a public assistance hospital (AP-HP) located in Créteil in the Val-de-Marne (Ile-de-France).Inaugurated on December 2, 1969, the Henri-Mondor University Hospital was designed by architects Jean-Maurice Lafont and Jacques-Henri Riedberger.In April 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic was particularly raging in France, and particularly in Ile-de-France, and hospitalization needs were high, a new building, the RBI (Réanimation, blocs, interventionnel) was inaugurated several months ahead of the initial schedule. Built on stilts due to the risk of flooding on the site, it provides an additional usable area of 13,800 m2. The first level, initially unopened, is a block comprising 21 operating rooms, with a recovery room with 41 places. The two upper levels include care rooms, i.e. 85 beds.
