The Molière Award recognises achievement in live French theatre and is the national theatre award of France. The awards are presented and decided by the Association professionnelle et artistique du théâtre (APAT) and supported by the Ministry of Culture at an annual ceremony, called the Nuit des Molières ("Night of the Molières") in Paris. The awards are given for French productions and performances. The Molière Awards are considered the highest French theatre honour, the equivalent to the American Tony Award, the British Olivier Award and the Spanish Premios Max. The award was created by Georges Cravenne, who was also the creator of the César Award for cinema. The name of the award is an homage to the seventeenth-century French dramatist Molière.

The arrondissement of Créteil is an arrondissement of France in the Val-de-Marne department in the Île-de-France region. It has 16 communes. Its population is 310,758 (2016), and its area is 99.8 km2 (38.5 sq mi).

Créteil–Préfecture (French pronunciation: ​[kʁetɛj pʁefɛktyʁ]) is a station on line 8 of the Paris Métro in the commune of Créteil. It was the eastern terminus of the line and is on the surface. The station opened on 10 September 1974 with the extension of the line from Créteil–L'Échat. Its name refers to the nearby prefecture (administrative headquarters of the department) of the Val-de-Marne. The 40 hectares (99 acres) Créteil lake was opened nearby in 1970 in a former quarry. Créteil–Préfecture became a through station when line 8 was extended 1.3 km east to Pointe du Lac on 8 October 2011.

The IAE Paris-Est School of Management (formerly known as IAE Gustave Eiffel, School of Management) is a public graduate school of management in France. Its research lab IRG is one of the largest in management in France. It is a part of the University of Paris Est-Créteil (UPEC), University of Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée (UPEM) and the IAE France Network. The IAE Paris-Est School offers both undergraduate (Bachelor – Licence) and graduate (Master and PhD – Master et Doctorat) programs in fields such as accounting, finance, management, marketing, and health management. Some of its Masters are ranked among the best in France.

Les Choux de Créteil is a group of ten cylindrical buildings, each 15 stories in height, in the Paris suburb of Créteil. The project is known as Les Choux (the cabbages), due to the unusual shape of their balconies. The buildings were designed by architect Gérard Grandval, and were completed in 1974.The project was recognized as a "Heritage of the 20th Century" by the French Ministry of Culture (16 December 2008); at the time the work was regarded as a symbol of 1970s French architecture. The buildings' unique shape is intended to be functional; the apartments' living spaces are closer to the windows, and the 2-meter-tall balconies provide outdoor access and privacy at the same time. The curved balconies were intended to be planted with all sorts of ornamental plants and small trees, thus causing the aspect of the buildings to change according to seasons, but that part of the project was never carried out.The project was initiated in 1966, in an area which had been used for a century to produce much of the vegetables for Parisian tables. This fact was undoubtedly on the architect's mind as he envisioned his structures.In 1998 the municipality opted to upgrade the area. The central sprout, largely dedicated to families of precarious means, was rebuilt. To encourage social intermixing, the leaders dedicated a fourth of the apartments to students.

The station opened on 10 September 1974 with the extension of the line from Créteil–L'Échat to Créteil–Préfecture. Its name refers to the nearby Paris 12 Val de Marne University.

Stade Dominique Duvauchelle is a multi-use stadium in Créteil, France. It takes its name from a local sports journalist who died shortly before the stadium's inauguration. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of US Créteil-Lusitanos. The stadium was built with an original capacity of approximately 6,000. It increased its capacity to 12,150 people in February 2006.Its record attendance for a league match was for a match between Créteil and Saint Etienne on 5 August 2001 with 6325 spectators. The record for a cup match is 8000 in a match hosted there by amateur team US Lusitanos Saint-Maur against Bordeaux in the round of 32 of the French Cup on 19 January 2002.

Paris-East Créteil University (French: Université Paris-Est Créteil, commonly known as Paris XII or UPEC) is a public university located in Créteil, Île-de-France, France. It was inaugurated in 1970. The university offers training in law, arts and humanities, science and technology, economics and development, administration and exchange, educational science, as well as social sciences. The university is composed of seventeen institutes situated in Créteil (Val-de-Marne), Seine-Saint-Denis, Seine-et-Marne, and in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.

The cantons of Créteil are administrative divisions of the Val-de-Marne department, Île-de-France region, northern France. Since the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015, the city of Créteil is subdivided into 2 cantons. Their seat is in Créteil.

The Diocese of Créteil (Latin: Dioecesis Christoliensis; French: Diocèse de Créteil) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Catholic Church in France. Erected in 1966 from a subdivision of the Archdiocese of Paris and the Diocese of Versailles, the Diocese of Créteil remains a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Paris.

Créteil Cathedral (French: Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Créteil) is a Roman Catholic church in Créteil, Val-de-Marne, France. The present cathedral was completed in 2015, replacing the previous building. It is the seat of the Bishopric of Créteil, created in 1966.
