Iscoyd Park

Whitewell (Welsh pronunciation) is a dispersed rural settlement, and surrounding ecclesiastical parish, in the community of Bronington, in the east of Wrexham County Borough, Wales. The Welsh language name of the parish, and of the area's former civil parish, is Iscoed, historically spelled as Iscoyd. The name can be translated as "below wood" or "underwood".

Fenn's Bank railway station was a station in Bronington, Wrexham, Wales. The station was opened on 4 May 1863 and closed on 18 January 1965.

The South Cheshire Way is a 34-mile (55 km) long-distance footpath running east–west mainly through Cheshire, England, although parts lie in Shropshire and Staffordshire. The western section from Grindley Brook, near Whitchurch, runs through farmland; the eastern section from Mow Cop, near Biddulph, runs through low hills. The footpath is waymarked with black-and-yellow discs inscribed 'SCW'. It is covered by the Ordnance Survey Explorer series 257 and 268 maps, which denote it with a green lozenge.The South Cheshire Way provides easy walking. The eastern terminus, Mow Cop, is the route's high point, at 1,050 feet (320 m), and there is 2,123 feet (647 m) of ascent in total. The path connects with several other long-distance paths, including the Maelor Way, the Staffordshire Way and the Sandstone and Gritstone Trails.

Grindley Brook Halt was a railway halt in the village of Grindley Brook, Shropshire on the Whitchurch and Tattenhall Railway or Chester-Whitchurch Branch Line. Nearby the line crossed the Shropshire Union Canal and the A41. It was open between 1937 and 1957.

Grindley Brook is a small village in Shropshire, England, on the A41 trunk road around 1.5 miles north west of the market town of Whitchurch. It is the most northerly settlement in Shropshire and borders directly onto Cheshire, and is within the civil parish of Whitchurch Urban. It is also the name of a small brook which flows past the village and marks the Cheshire-Shropshire border at this point.

Bronington is a village and community in Wrexham County Borough, Wales, forming a large part of the Maelor Saesneg. Within the boundaries of the historic county of Flintshire, the community has an area of 3,482 hectares and a population of 1,228 (2001 Census), increasing to 1,242 at the 2011 Census.The village church, Holy Trinity, was converted from a former brick tithe barn in 1836. To the north-east of the village is Iscoyd Park, a stately home with surrounding parkland which was built around 1740 and enlarged in the 19th century. South of the village is Fenn's Moss, an area of peat bog stretching over into Shropshire, which was declared a national nature reserve in 1996 because of its importance for wildlife.

Tushingham-cum-Grindley, Macefen and Bradley is a civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It was created in 2015, under the terms of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007, from the civil parish of Tushingham cum Grindley with parts of the historic civil parishes of Macefen and Bradley.As part of the boundary reorganisation, a small area in the north of Macefen was incorporated in the civil parish of No Man's Heath and District, and a small area to the west of Bradley, forming a near-exclave between Malpas, Wychough and Chidlow, was transferred to Malpas.The area of the parish is largely farmland, but includes the scattered settlements of Tushingham, Bell o' th' Hill and Bradley Green.

Bell o' th' Hill is a small, scattered settlement in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England, close to the border with Shropshire. Until 2015 it was in the civil parish of Tushingham cum Grindley: it is now in the civil parish of Tushingham-cum-Grindley, Macefen and Bradley. The settlement is adjacent to the A41 road north of Whitchurch, and an earlier line of the main road passes through it. The unusual place-name has been supposed to be a back-formation from that of the historic "Bell on the Hill" inn, but the inn name may in fact have been suggested by the earlier forms "Belle Hill", recorded in 1610, and "Bellow Hill", noted 1675, possibly an Old English name from belg and hläw ("rounded hill"). The Bell was built in 1677 by a London grocer, Edmund Nevitt. Now named the Blue Bell, it was Grade II listed in 1967.A document of 1314 refers to an assart between "le Castelward" and Tushingham Hall, which has been taken to suggest the presence of a castle or motte here.

Tushingham Hall is a country house in Tushingham, Cheshire, England. Formerly a moated farmhouse, it was remodelled in the early 19th century for Daniel Vawdrey, retaining many 17th-century features. It is constructed in rendered brick with slate roofs. Its architectural style is Tudor Revival. The house is in two storeys with a symmetrical entrance front. The centre of the front is recessed and contains a canted open porch with three Tudor arches. Above this is a mullioned window containing two sashes. On each side is a similar window in both storeys, those in the upper storey being smaller than those below. Above the window over the porch is a shaped gable containing a wreath, and the rest of the front is crenellated. The interior contains a 17th-century staircase originally in Dearnford Hall, Staffordshire. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.
