Shōren-ji

Osaka Yuhigaoka Gakuen Junior College (大阪夕陽丘学園短期大学, Ōsaka yūhigaoka gakuen tanki daigaku) is a private women's junior college in Tennōji-ku, Osaka, Japan, established in 1950.

Taihei-ji (太平寺) is a Buddhist temple in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It was founded in about 1555, and it is affiliated with Sōtō Buddhism.

Osaka Conference Center (大阪カンファレンスセンター, Ōsaka kanfarensu sentā), officially known as Osaka Conference Center & Hotel (大阪カンファレンスセンター＆ホテル, Ōsaka kanfarensu sentā ando hoteru), is a conference center with a hotel in Tennoji-ku, Osaka, Osaka, Japan. Although Convention Linkage, Inc., the operator appointed by the City of Osaka, has started re-branding since April 2014, the center is still known as International House, Osaka (大阪国際交流センター, Ōsaka kokusai kōryū sentā) or i-house (アイハウス, Ai hausu) for the building name it tenants.

Ikukunitama Shrine (生國魂神社, Ikukunitama jinja) is a Shinto shrine located in Tennōji-ku, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. Its main festival is held annually on September 9. It was formerly an imperial shrine of the first rank (官幣大社, kanpei taisha) in the Modern system of ranked Shinto Shrines.

Shitennoji Junior and Senior High School (四天王寺中学校・高等学校, Shitennōji Chūgakkō Kōtōgakkō) is a girls' private junior and senior high school in Tennoji-ku, Osaka. It is a part of the Shi-Tennoji Gakuen, a group of Buddhist educational institutions affiliated with Shitennoji temple in Osaka. It was established in April 1922 as Tennoji Women's High School (天王寺高等女学校, Tennōji Kōtōjogakkō).

The Battle of Tennōji (天王寺・岡山の戦い, Tennōji Okayama no tatakai) was fought on 3 June, 1615 between the forces of Tokugawa Ieyasu and Toyotomi Hideyori. Tokugawa was besieging Osaka, and Hideyori had planned a counterattack. Both sides were plagued by mistakes until Hideyori's side finally fell. He presumably committed suicide. The Toyotomi army suffered nearly 50% casualties in this battle, with more than 15,000 dead. This was also the final battle of Sanada Yukimura.

Hōon'in (報恩院) is a Buddhist temple in Chūō-ku, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It was founded in the Kanbun Era, 1661–1672.

Tennōji (天王寺区, Tennōji-ku) is one of 24 wards of Osaka, Japan. It is named after the Shitennō-ji, the temple of the Four Heavenly Kings, which is located in the ward.

Tanimachi Kyūchōme Station (谷町九丁目駅, Tanimachi Kyūchōme-eki) is a railway station on the two lines of Osaka Metro in Ikutamamaemachi, Tennōji-ku, Osaka, Japan. Nicknamed "Tani Kyū (たにきゅう)", the station connects with Osaka Uehommachi Station on the Kintetsu lines.

Nipponbashi (日本橋) is a shopping district of Naniwa Ward, Osaka, Japan. The area is centered along Sakaisuji Avenue, extending from the Ebisu-chō Interchange of the Hanshin Expressway in the south, to Nansan-dōri (just east of Nankai Namba Station) in the north. Known colloquially as "Den-Den Town," Nipponbashi is known for its many shops which specialize in furniture, tools, and "otaku" interests such as electronics, anime, manga, and collectibles. Nipponbashi is often compared to Akihabara Electric Town, its equivalent (in terms of focus) in Tokyo. Although written with the same kanji 日本橋 in Japanese, Nihonbashi in Chūō, Tokyo is a different place and has a different pronunciation.

The 1576 siege of Mitsuji (Japanese: 三津寺砦の戦い) was part of the eleven-year Ishiyama Hongan-ji War. The Ikkō-ikki, a group of warrior monks and peasants, controlled the fortress and stood as one of the primary obstacles to Oda Nobunaga's bid for power. In May 1576, Nobunaga personally took part in an attack on the fortress. He led a number of ashigaru (foot soldiers) in pushing back the Ikki garrison to their inner gates. Nobunaga suffered a bullet wound to his leg.He also lost one of his generals, Harada Naomasa.
