Hollymoor Hospital was a psychiatric hospital located at Tessall Lane, Northfield in Birmingham, England, and is famous primarily for the work on group psychotherapy that took place there in the years of the Second World War. It closed in 1994.

Rubery Hill Hospital was a mental health facility in Birmingham, England. The Chapel, which still survives, is a Grade II listed building.

Longbridge railway station was a railway station in Longbridge, Birmingham, England, on the Great Western Railway and Midland Railway's joint Halesowen Railway line from Old Hill to Longbridge. Despite closure, the railway station and part of the track remained in situ until the demolition of most of the Longbridge factory in 2006. The station should not be confused with the current station that was built in 1978, and is located on the Cross City Line.

The station closed in 1919 for regular services but workmen's trains continued until 1958. The station was the location of the only passing loop between Halesowen and Longbridge. Longbridge plant is an industrial complex in Longbridge, Birmingham, England, currently leased by SAIC as a research and development facility for its MG Motor subsidiary. Vehicle assembly ended in 2016. Opened in 1905, by the late 1960s Longbridge employed around 25,000 workers, building cars including the original Mini. In the Second World War, the main plant produced munitions and tank parts, while the nearby East Works of Austin Aero Ltd at Cofton Hackett produced Short Stirling and Hawker Hurricane aircraft. Since the collapse of MG Rover in 2005, part of the site has been redeveloped for commercial and residential use.

Rednal is a residential suburb on the south western edge of metropolitan Birmingham, West Midlands, England, 9 miles (14 kilometres) southwest of Birmingham city centre and forming part of Longbridge parish and electoral ward. Rednal is home to approximately 2,000 residents. The suburb is located in a triangle formed by Rubery and the Bristol Road South to the north and north west, the former MG Rover car factory to the south east and the Lickey Hills and Cofton Hackett Park just south. The popular rural Lickey Hills Country Park is 1⁄2 mile (800 metres) south of Rednal, with Rednal Hill being the nearest peak.

King Edward VI Balaam Wood Academy is a coeducational secondary school located in the New Frankley area of Birmingham, West Midlands, England.The school provides a catchment area for the surrounding primary schools Reaside Junior School, Forestdale Primary and Ley Hill Primary and Infant. Established in 1980, the school was originally known as Frankley Community High School, and was later renamed Balaam Wood School. It takes its name from Balaam's Wood, a nearby woodland dating from at least 1600. An Ofsted inspection in January 2016 stated that the school 'Requires Improvement'.Previously a community school administered by Birmingham City Council, in September 2019 Balaam Wood School converted to academy status and was renamed King Edward VI Balaam Wood Academy. The school is now sponsored by the King Edward VI Academy Trust.

Cofton Hackett is a village and civil parish in the Bromsgrove District of north east Worcestershire, England. It is 10+1⁄4 miles (16.5 kilometres) southwest of the city centre of Birmingham and 16 miles (26 km) northeast of Worcester. In 2011, the village had a population of 1,893 but with housing development on the former Austin Rover site, this is expected to double over the five years to 2023. The village is served by two main bus services, these being the 20 (Cofton Hackett – Queen Elizabeth Hospital) and 145/145A (Longbridge – Droitwich) operated by National Express and Diamond Bus respectively.

Cofton Reservoir is a canal feeder reservoir, south of the village of Cofton Hackett, Worcestershire in the United Kingdom. The reservoir is situated at the base of the Lickey Hills, 8.5 miles (13.7 km) south west of Birmingham. It is the highest of four Worcester and Birmingham Canal reservoirs in the upper catchments of the River Arrow. It was originally built in 1815 as a compensation reservoir for watermills, which would have otherwise been affected by the construction of the canal. It was later used as a water supply for the canal, a function for which it still serves.
