Asam Church, Munich

The Church of All Saints (German: Allerheiligenkirche) also known as Holy Cross Church (German: Kreuzkirche), is a cemetery church in Munich, southern Germany. The church was built in 1478 by Jörg von Halsbach and was the first church with a cemetery in the St. Peter parish. It was once located at the crossing of four roads, whence the original suffix am Kreuz ("at the Cross"). It has unadorned brickwork walls, Gothicvaults and a tall bell tower. The interior was rebuilt from 1620 in Baroque style, the only remaining Gothic elements being the nave's vault, fragments of a fresco and a Crucifix by Hans Leinberger. The tomb of banker Gietz and the Apparition of the Virgin to St. Augustine (by Hans Rottenhammer) are in Mannerist style.

The Sendlinger Tor (translated: Sendling Gate) is a city gate at the southern extremity of the historic old town area of Munich. It served as a fortification for defence and is one of Munich's three remaining gothic town gates (the other two being the Isartor and the Karlstor).

Damenstiftskirche St. Anna is a chapel in Munich, southern Germany.It was commissioned in the 18th century by Elector Charles Albert (later the Emperor Charles VII) and the cornerstone was laid in 1733. A monastery in the legal form of a chapter of nuns was set up. The architect was Johann Baptist Gunetzrhainer, while the Asam brothers were responsible for the interior. The women's collegiate church was consecrated in 1735.All but the outer walls were destroyed in World War II. The interior was restored from old photographs in 1980, but the murals are now painted in black and white.

The Deutsche Journalistenschule e.V. (German: [ˈdɔʏtʃə ʒʊʁnaˈlɪstn̩ˌʃuːlə]), the German School of Journalism, is a journalism school in Germany. At the time of its establishment, it was the country's first German journalism school. Today, Deutsche Journalistenschule is considered one of the best schools for journalism in Germany, along with the Henri-Nannen-Schule in Hamburg.

Saint James's Church (German: Sankt Jakob am Anger), is a church in Munich. It serves the School Sisters of Our Blessed Lady as a monastery church. The church contains the grave of Blessed Maria Theresia Gerhardinger.

Herzogspitalkirche (German: "St. Elisabeth Hospital") is a Catholic church in Munich, southern Germany. It was a Baroque building commissioned by Duke Albert V of Bavaria, designed by Johann Baptist Gunetzrhainer and inaugurated in 1727.Damaged during World War II, the Duke Hospital was demolished and replaced by a new building. The tower was restored, the nave replaced by a new building designed by Alexander von Branca (1956–57), with a brickwork interior.

The Jewish Museum Munich (Hebrew: המוזיאון היהודי במינכן), provides an overview of Munich’s Jewish history and is part of the city's new Jewish Center located at Sankt-Jakobs-Platz in Munich, Germany. It is situated between the main synagogue Ohel Jakob and the Jewish Community Center which is home to the Jewish Community of Munich and Upper Bavaria and houses a public elementary school, a kindergarten, a youth center as well as a community auditorium and a kosher restaurant. The museum was built from 2004 until its inauguration on March 22, 2007 and is run by the city of Munich.

Ohel Jakob (from Hebrew: "Jacob's Tent") is a synagogue in Munich, Germany. It was built between 2004 and 2006 as the new main synagogue for the Jewish community in Munich and is located at the Sankt-Jakobs-Platz. The synagogue was inaugurated on 9 November 2006 on the 68th anniversary of the Kristallnacht. The building is part of the new Jewish Center consisting of the synagogue, the Jewish Museum Munich and a community center.

The Old Technical Town Hall (German: Altes Technisches Rathaus, officially Städtisches Hochhaus), is a communal service building of the city administration Munich and today headquarters of the section for the planning and building regulations of the state capital Munich. It is the oldest high-rise building in Munich and is still referred to as "Das Hochhaus" by old-established Munichers, although there are now more and higher high-rise buildings.

Münchner Marionettentheater is a theatre in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It is known as the oldest, not-mobil puppetry in the German-speaking countries. It is chaired by puppeteer Siegfried Böhmke since 2000.
