The Munich Stadtmuseum (German: "Münchner Stadtmuseum") or Munich City Museum, is the city museum of Munich. It was founded in 1888 by Ernst von Destouches. It is located in the former municipal arsenal and stables, both buildings of the late Gothic period. It was formally named Museum of Masterpieces of Science and Technology (Museum von Meisterwerken der Naturwissenschaft und Technik).

The Deutsche Brauereimuseum ("German brewery museum") at the St.-Jakobs-Platz in Munich was founded in 1952 on the initiative of the Bavarian Hofbräuhaus. It is the most famous museum of its kind in Germany and is part of the local city museum (Munich Stadtmuseum). The museum is sponsored by a voluntary museum's association. Focal point of the collection is the historical and technical evolution of beer brewing. The oldest exhibit is a drinking vessel of the 4th millennium BC. In addition to beer glassware and beer jugs there are models of big breweries and a complete microbrewery.

The Munich Film Archive, in the Munich Stadtmuseum, is one of eight film museums in Germany. It has no showrooms and is limited to screening the films in a single cinema with 165 seats, as well as collecting, archiving, and restoring film copies. All analog and digital formats (except 70mm) can be shown.

The Kaufingertor was one of the five city gates built around at the end of the 12th century, as the first city walls of medieval Munich. It was located in the west of the old town, approximately at the point where today's Färbergraben and Augustinerstraße meet on Kaufingerstraße.

The Ruffinihaus ("Ruffini House") is a group of three houses (also known as Ruffinihäuser) on the Rindermarkt ("cattle market") 10 in the Old Town of Munich, Germany. It was built by Gabriel von Seidl from 1903 to 1905 and is named after the Ruffiniturm ("Ruffini tower", demolished in 1808), which in turn was named after Johann Baptista Ruffini. The Ruffiniturm formed the original Sendlinger Tor ("Sendlinger gate") and thus was part of Munich's first city wall. The three-sided house that borders the Sendlinger Street and Pettenbeck Street stands on what was the fluvial terrace of the first medieval fortification's moat, as can still be seen today when viewed from the southeast. This is a prominent site by virtue of both being a historical location and marking the transition point between the oldest core of the city and its first expansion in the 13th century. The Bavarian Office of Monument Preservation describes the building as "romantic-native mood architecture of the highest level for the interpretation of a historicist image of an old town as seen under a picturesque ideal, which was meant to be 'upgraded'."

The Jewish Museum Munich (Hebrew: המוזיאון היהודי במינכן), provides an overview of Munich’s Jewish history and is part of the city's new Jewish Center located at Sankt-Jakobs-Platz in Munich, Germany. It is situated between the main synagogue Ohel Jakob and the Jewish Community Center which is home to the Jewish Community of Munich and Upper Bavaria and houses a public elementary school, a kindergarten, a youth center as well as a community auditorium and a kosher restaurant. The museum was built from 2004 until its inauguration on March 22, 2007 and is run by the city of Munich.

Ohel Jakob (from Hebrew: "Jacob's Tent") is a synagogue in Munich, Germany. It was built between 2004 and 2006 as the new main synagogue for the Jewish community in Munich and is located at the Sankt-Jakobs-Platz. The synagogue was inaugurated on 9 November 2006 on the 68th anniversary of the Kristallnacht. The building is part of the new Jewish Center consisting of the synagogue, the Jewish Museum Munich and a community center.

The Deutsche Journalistenschule e.V. (German: [ˈdɔʏtʃə ʒʊʁnaˈlɪstn̩ˌʃuːlə]), the German School of Journalism, is a journalism school in Germany. At the time of its establishment, it was the country's first German journalism school. Today, Deutsche Journalistenschule is considered one of the best schools for journalism in Germany, along with the Henri-Nannen-Schule in Hamburg.

The Rindermarktbrunnen or literally "Cattle market fountain" in English is a modern sculpture in the historical Altstadt of Munich, in Bavaria, Germany. It was created in 1964 by Munich sculptor and professor of the Munich Academy Josef Henselmann in the course of the reorganisation of the cattle market. The fountain was sponsored by Gunther Henle. With his designs Henselmann observed the historical function of the square as an area of cattle trade and as an area for the cattle there to drink, which existed until into the 19th century. Out of Gneiss he created a terraced fountain scene on the lightly sloping site. The irregularly formed basin of the fountain in the centre of the work imitates the idea of a naturally formed puddle or pool. The fountain is crowned by a powerful set of bronzeworks above the steps. It shows three cattle which look down from their position onto people resting at the base of the fountain. Slightly aside is the stone figure of an observing herdsman sitting on a retaining wall.

The Angerhof is a building in Munich that serves as a residential building, office building, hotel with restaurant, service location and parking garage.

The Augustinian Church (German: Augustinerkirche), also called the Augustinian Abbey (Augustinerkloster) or Abbey Church of St John the Baptist and John the Evangelist (Klosterkirche St. Johannes der Täufer und Johannes der Evangelist) is a former church in Munich, southern Germany. Constructed during the 13th century and expanded during the next two centuries, it was the Abbey Church of the Augustinian hermits in the city.

The German Hunting and Fishing Museum (German: Deutsches Jagd- und Fischereimuseum) is a museum exhibiting objects connected with the history of hunting and fishing in Germany or other territories which nowadays belong to it.
