Meidling (German pronunciation: [ˈmaɪ̯tlɪŋ] (listen)) is the 12th district of Vienna (German: 12. Bezirk, Meidling). It is located just southwest of the central districts, south of the River Wien, west of the Gürtel belt, and east and southeast of Schönbrunn Palace. Meidling is a heavily populated urban area with many residential buildings, but also large recreational areas and parks. In sports, it is represented by the FC Dynamo Meidling. Former Chancellor of Austria Sebastian Kurz was born and raised in Meidling and his private residence is there.

The Political Academy of the Austrian People's Party is the educational institution of the Austrian People's Party (Österreichische Volkspartei). The “Political Academy” supports civic, political and cultural education by means of seminars, training courses, lectures, publications, applied research, etc. The Political Academy is located in the "Springer Schlössl" (Springer Castle) in Vienna. It is a member of the Centre for European Studies, the official foundation/think tank of the European People's Party.

Tscherttegasse is a station on U6 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It is located in the Meidling District. It opened on 15 April 1995 as part of the extension of the line from Philadelphiabrücke to Siebenhirten.The station is located at the ground level and has two side platforms. There is one exit from the station.

Bahnhof Meidling is a station on U6 of the Vienna U-Bahn. Up until 4 October 2013 it was called Philadelphiabrücke. Above the U-Bahn station is the Wien Meidling railway station, which is served by long distance and regional trains, and by Vienna S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S3, S60 and S80. Both stations are located in the Meidling District. The U-Bahn station opened on 7 October 1989. On 15 April 1995 the line was extended further south to Siebenhirten.

Schloss Hetzendorf is a baroque palace in Hetzendorf, Meidling, Vienna, that was used by the imperial Habsburg family.

Am Schöpfwerk Church (German: Kirche Am Schöpfwerk) is a Roman Catholic parish church, dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi, and is the most recently built church in Meidling, the 12th district of Vienna, Austria.

The Theresienbad is a complex of indoor and outdoor swimming pools in the Meidling district of urban Vienna. It includes an indoor pool with a sauna, a Turkish bath (and former public bath) and a diving platform, and a summer pool. There is a heated paddling pool for children. In the swimming pool there are two monumental ceramic mosaics by Carry Hauser including Bather (1964), and mosaics in the steam room by Paul Meissner (Scene of the Ancients bathing, 1953) and Rudolf Hausner (Triton playing the flute, 1953). At the entrance to the pool hall there is a bronze sculpture by Oskar Thiede, designed as a monument to the baths' history.

Wien Meidling (German for 'Vienna Meidling') is one of Vienna's main railway stations located at the Philadelphiabrücke. When the Südbahnhof (South station) was demolished in December 2009 to build Vienna's new Hauptbahnhof (main station), Wien Meidling assumed the functions of the Südbahnhof and has been in the 2020s frequented by 55,000 people daily, up from its usual 45,000, making it one of Austria's busiest railway stations.

The sculptures in the Schönbrunn Garden at Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, Austria were created between 1773 and 1780 under the direction of Johann Wilhelm Beyer, a German artist and garden designer. The Great Parterre of Schönbrunn Garden is lined on both sides with 32 over life-size sculptures that represent mythological deities and virtues. The Neptune Fountain at the foot of the Gloriette hill is the crowning monument of the Great Parterre. Other sculptures are distributed throughout the garden and palace forecourt, including fountains and pools. Several sculptors were employed during the execution of these works, among them Johann Baptist Hagenauer.

Schönbrunn is a station on U4 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It is located in the Hietzing District. It opened as part of the Wiener Stadtbahn in 1898 and became an U-Bahn station in 1981.
