Beaverdam Creek (Soque River tributary)

Yellowbank Creek is a stream in Georgia, and is a tributary of the Soque River. The creek is approximately 5.94 miles (9.56 km) long.

Northeast Georgia is a region of Georgia in the United States. The northern part is also in the North Georgia mountains or Georgia mountain region, while the southern part (east of metro Atlanta) is still hilly but much flatter in topography. At over 1 billion years of age, the Blue Ridge mountains are among the oldest mountains in the United States and sometimes mistaken to be the oldest mountains in the world (they are only about one third of the age of South Africa's 3.6 billion year old Barberton greenstone belt.). The mountains in this region are also a part of the vast system of North American mountains known as the Appalachian Mountains that spans most of the United States longitudally along the eastern areas of the nation and terminates in Alabama. The region is known for its ruggedness and scenery. The Cherokee who lived in these mountains called them ᏌᏆᎾᎦ/Sah-ka-na'-ga - "Blue Smoke Mountains". Large portions of the North Georgia mountains are included in the more than 750,000 acres (3,000 km2) that comprise the Chattahoochee National Forest.

North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) is a public technical college in Clarkesville, Georgia, with additional campuses in Toccoa (known as the Currahee campus, named after nearby Currahee Mountain) and Blairsville. It is part of the Technical College System of Georgia. The college serves Habersham, Stephens, Union, Fannin, White, Rabun, Towns, and Franklin counties. Habersham County is a county located in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 46,031. The county seat is Clarkesville. The county was created on December 15, 1818, and named for Colonel Joseph Habersham of the Continental Army in the Revolutionary War.Habersham County comprises the Cornelia, GA Micropolitan Statistical Area.

The Sautee Valley Historic District comprises the southern half of the Sautee Valley, near Sautee, Georgia. Lynch Mountain is to the southeast, Grimes Nose is to the northwest, and the Nacoochee Valley is to the southwest. There are historic and prehistoric resources, mostly along the edges of the valley. Historic structures include houses, farms, stores, and other typical buildings dating from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Prehistoric resources include ceremonial and settlement sites and feature Nacoochee Mound, an earthwork platform mound on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. This area is adjacent to the Nacoochee Valley Historic District. The historic district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Market Building, on N. Washington St. in Clarkesville, Georgia, was built in 1935. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It was built as a Works Progress Administration project.It has also been known as the Agriculture Building. It is or was located just west of the town square.It may no longer exist, because Google Streeview survey of Washington St. using November 2018 imagery does not seem to turn it up.

Sautee Nacoochee (or Sautee-Nacoochee) is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in White County, Georgia, United States, near Sautee Creek in the Appalachian foothills of northeast Georgia, approximately 95 miles (153 km) north of Atlanta. The nearest incorporated town is the tourist destination of Helen.

Mauldin House is a historic home in Clarkesville, Georgia. The home's first owner and namesake was A.M. Mauldin and his wife. Mauldin was a hatmaker with a shop in downtown Clarkesville. It was moved to make way for a road widening project and now serves as a Welcome Center. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 18, 1982. The house was originally located at 102 East Water Street, but is now located at 458 Jefferson Street. At one time, the property included multiple barns, pasture, and a vegetable garden in addition to the current house, Big Holly Cabin and the millinery shop. The Mauldin house has previously been known as the Little Pink Cottage.Built of hand hewn pine for Haywood English in 1820, the cabin is part of a historical park beside Clarkesville's town square.
