Bever, Switzerland

Bever railway station is a railway station in the municipality of Bever, in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It is located at the junction of the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) metre gauge Albula and Bever–Scuol-Tarasp lines of the Rhaetian Railway. It is located to the southwest of the village of Bever at 1710 m above sea level. The station is normally served only by the passenger trains that operate on the Engadine line.

The Flaz is a river in the Swiss region of Engadin. The Flaz starts at the confluence of Bernina with Roseg; after that Flaz flows in the territory of Pontresina and Samaden where its waters reaches the Inn.

The Albula Pass (Romansh: Pass d'Alvra or , German: Albulapass) (el. 2312 m) is a Swiss mountain pass in the canton of Graubünden. It lies at the heart of the Albula Alps, on the watershed between the Albula, tributary of the Rhine and the Ova d'Alvra, tributary of the Inn. Overlooking the pass are the ranges of Piz Üertsch (north) and Crasta Mora (south).The Albula Pass is an important axis from central Graubünden to Engadin. It is traversed by a paved road from Thusis to La Punt, via Bergün. It is also traversed by the Albula Railway, although at a lower elevation through the Albula Tunnel (1,820 m), from Thusis to Bever, also via Bergün. On the summit of the pass is a hospice. East of the pass, on the Engadin side, is a lake named Albulasee (2,294 m) which is 4.2 ha large. West of the pass, at a further distance, is the larger Lai da Palpuogna, a popular stop on the Albula road. Muottas Muragl (2,454 m) is a location on the southern slopes of the Blais da Muottas (2,568 m), a summit at the western end of the range descending from Piz Vadret, in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It overlooks the Engadin, between the towns of Samedan, St. Moritz and Pontresina. The mountain is within the municipality of Samedan. Muottas Muragl is accessible by a funicular railway, between Celerina and Pontresina, the Muottas-Muragl-Bahn, from the train stations Punt Muragl and Punt Muragl Staz, both served by the Rhaetian Railway. Muottas Muragl includes a hotel and a panoramic restaurant.
