Henrietta is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States and a suburb of Rochester. The population of Henrietta is 47,096, according to the 2020 United States Census. Henrietta is home to the Rochester Institute of Technology and to one of the largest retail shopping districts in Monroe County.

The Dome Center is a fair and convention complex located in Henrietta, New York, just outside the city of Rochester. It was originally part of a 60 acre site that hosted the annual Monroe County (NY) Fair between 1947 and 2013.

The Marketplace Mall is a shopping center managed by Wilmorite and located on Hylan Drive in Henrietta, New York, a suburb of Rochester. The space at the southeast corner of West Henrietta Road (NY 15) and Jefferson Road (NY 252) was previously Hylan Airport, a general aviation facility home to Ray Hylan's school of aviation. In the 1970s, Hylan moved his school to the Rochester – Monroe County Airport and worked with the Wilmot family to develop the former airfield into commercial space. The Marketplace Mall opened on October 7, 1982 as the largest mall and the first regional mall located between New York City and Cleveland. On opening day, The Marketplace was anchored by Sibley's, McCurdy's, B. Forman Co. and Sears. It was home to 140 specialty retailers. In February 1983, JCPenney added on as the fifth department store. Since 1982 four outparcels have been added to the property. In 1990, Sibley's became Kaufmann's. In 1994, McCurdy's became The Bon-Ton. In 2001, an 84,000 sq ft (7,800 m2) Galyan's was added on to the south side of the mall, which was converted to a Dick's Sporting Goods in 2004. In September 2006, Kaufmann's became Macy's. In 1982, The Marketplace was the fifth shopping center to open in the Rochester, NY Market behind Midtown Plaza in 1962, Greece Towne Mall in 1967, Long Ridge Mall in 1971, and Eastview Mall in 1971. It was the second major retail shopping center to open in Henrietta following Southtown Plaza. The area surrounding the mall, which was previously vacant farmland, has been developed both commercially and residentially over the past twenty years. There are five parcels totaling 80 acres (320,000 m2) available for future development located adjacent to the Marketplace Commons. Marketplace Commons was developed by Wilmorite and is located next to the Marketplace Mall. In March 2017, Macy's announced that it would close its location at Marketplace Mall as part of an effort to focus on their highest achieving locations; IKEA was named as interested in their space. The store was reconstructed for big box retailer Floor & Decor which opened in August 2023.In March 2019, Sears announced that it would close its store as part of an ongoing decision to eliminate its brick-and-mortar format and was replaced by a $240 million development for UR Medicine which was completed in 2023.

Rush–Henrietta Senior High School - James E. Sperry Building, located in Henrietta, New York, also referred to as Rush–Henrietta Senior High School, R-H and Sperry High School, is the only high school in the Rush-Henrietta Central School District. As of the 2021–22 school year, the principal is Dr. Timothy Shafer. Beginning with the class of 2004, students in the ninth grade in the Rush-Henrietta district began attending the Ninth Grade Academy (the Carlton Webster building). This move was made in response to an overcrowding of students at the Senior High building. The building is a short distance (0.5 mi [0.80 km]) from the high school. However, as of the 2017–18 school year, the Webster Building is now in use as an alternative high school, and ninth-graders attend one of the two junior high schools. Rush-Henrietta has a strong athletic program with dozens of varsity teams. The school is known to be arch rivals with the Red Raiders of the nearby Fairport Central School District, located in Fairport, New York.

The Antoinette Louisa Brown Blackwell Childhood Home is a historic home located at Henrietta in Monroe County, New York. It is a vernacular Federal style masonry residence constructed of random fieldstone with brick infill. It was built in 1830 as a 2+1⁄2-story side-gable-and-wing design and later modified and expanded. It is notable as the childhood residence of women's rights advocate Antoinette Brown Blackwell (1825–1921), who was the first woman to be ordained as a minister in the United States.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Genesee Valley Regional Market Authority is a New York state Class C Public Authority created in 1950 to "avoid stressing the tax base". The Authority had a budget of $2.7 million in 2006-2007 with estimated surplus of $914K.The Authority " ... serves as a centrally located food distribution center for a nine-county area in Western New York. The Market is located on 123 acres (0.50 km2) in the Town of Henrietta, County of Monroe. There are 160 companies doing business on the property. The Market generates its revenue by renting buildings and land."The Authority's website currently lists more than 50 companies and organizations leasing building space on Jefferson Avenue and Mushroom Boulevard locations. More than 50 also lease land controlled by the Authority, including major retail chains such as Office Depot, Holiday Inn, and Munro Muffler. The land leases are for locations on Clay Road, East Henrietta Road, Jefferson Road, and Mushroom Boulevard.In accordance with the Authority By-Laws, the Directors of the Authority are selected from each of the covered counties and serve voluntarily, receiving nominal compensation for attendance at meetings.

The Webster Learning Center is a public high school located in the town of Henrietta, New York. It is part of the Rush–Henrietta Central School District, housing special needs, and special education students. It is sometimes referred to as "R-H Alternative High School." It houses students grades 9 to 12, from Charles H. Roth junior high school, Henry V. Burger junior high, and James E. Sperry Senior High School. The building is known as the Carlton Webster Building. The Rush–Henrietta Central School District created the Ninth Grade Academy in 2000 in order to alleviate problems regarding over-crowding at Rush–Henrietta Senior High School, which had hosted grades 9 through 12. The Senior High now hosts grades 10-12, and as of 2017, the Webster Building serves as an alternative high school, with the junior high schools serving grades 7-9.

General Railway Signal Company (GRS) was an American manufacturing company located in the Rochester, New York area. GRS was focused on railway signaling equipment, systems and services. The company was established in 1904 and became part of Alstom Transport in 1998. GRS was a member of the Dow Jones Industrial Average from 1928 to 1930.

Park Point at RIT (originally referred to as "Collegetown" or "College Park") is an apartment complex and commercial enterprise on the northeast corner of Rochester Institute of Technology's campus in Rochester, New York. The property was initially being leased to Wilmorite Properties, until it was bought by American Campus Communities in 2013.

House of General Science or HoGS is a special interest house at Rochester Institute of Technology. HoGS was established in 1997 as a house devoted to the love of science, and is open to all majors.

Monroe Community College (MCC) is a public community college in Monroe County, New York. It is part of the State University of New York. The college has two campuses; the main campus in the town of Brighton, and the Downtown Campus in the City of Rochester. The college also has off-site learning at the Applied Technologies Center, Monroe County Public Safety Training Facility, and offers online classes. As of 2023, MCC has enrolled more than a half a million students.

The National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) is the first and largest technological college in the world for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. As one of nine colleges within the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York, NTID provides academic programs, access, ASL in-class interpreters and support services—including on-site audiological, speech-language, and cochlear implant support.As of fall quarter 2012, NTID encompasses just under 10% of RIT's enrollment, 1259 students. Roughly 775 deaf and hard of hearing students are cross-registered into another RIT college's program with support from NTID. In addition to a master's degree in deaf education, NTID also offers a bachelor's degree program in ASL-English Interpretation.
