Atlanta Jewish Academy

Katherine and Jacob Greenfield Hebrew Academy (GHA), founded in 1953, was the first Jewish day school in Metro Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It was located in Sandy Springs. GHA was also the first Jewish day school in the country to be accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and has been honored twice as a National School of Excellence by the Council for American Private Education. As of July 1, 2014, the school officially merged with the modern Orthodox high school, Yeshiva Atlanta, founded in 1971, and the combined school is called Atlanta Jewish Academy. In November 2017 it had a ribbon cutting for the opening of a $9 million, 19,000-square-foot (1,800 m2) addition to its Northland Drive campus in Sandy Springs.

The Children's Healthcare of Atlanta - Scottish Rite Hospital (formerly Scottish Rite Hospital for Crippled Children) is a nationally ranked, freestanding, 273-bed, pediatric acute care children's hospital located in Atlanta, Georgia. It is affiliated with the Emory University School of Medicine and the Morehouse School of Medicine, as a member of the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta system, 1 of 3 of the children's hospitals in the system. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21 throughout the Atlanta region. The hospital features a state verified level II pediatric trauma center, one of two in the state. Its regional pediatric intensive-care unit and neonatal intensive care units serve the region. The hospital also has a rooftop helipad for critical pediatric transport.

The Northside Hospital System (Northside) is a hospital network in the Atlanta area of Georgia in the United States. Its specialties include oncology, gynecology, neurology, orthopedic surgery, and gastroenterology. Northside operates five hospitals across the metro area: Northside Hospital Atlanta, Northside Hospital Cherokee, Northside Hospital Duluth, Northside Hospital Forsyth, and Northside Hospital Gwinnett.

Northside Hospital Atlanta (originally Northside Hospital; sometimes Northside Atlanta) is a hospital serving the metro Atlanta area located in the "Pill Hill" neighborhood in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Opened in 1970, the hospital is the flagship and original location of the Northside Hospital System; as of 2023, it has 621 beds and employs 2,300 physicians and over 11,000 staff. Northside Atlanta delivers the most babies of any hospital in the United States.

Pill Hill is a major cluster of hospitals and doctors’ offices in northern metro Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Pill Hill is in Sandy Springs, Georgia, near the intersection of Georgia 400 and Interstate 285, in the Perimeter Center district. Pill Hill has become the health-care mecca of Atlanta, with three hospitals, hundreds of physician practices, multiple outpatient centers and support services making it a premier location for medical practices. Pill Hill has grown exponentially since it began taking shape in the late 1960s when Scottish Rite, which was previously a children’s convalescent home, expanded into a full-fledged medical center in 1965. Northside Hospital became the first major medical provider to build on Pill Hill in 1970, and Saint Joseph’s was built soon after. The area has seen a major transformation over the past 40 years, as Northside has grown from 250 beds to 537 beds, while Saint Joseph’s completed a 64-bed expansion in 2005 to bring it to a total of 410 beds. Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta is an acute care hospital located in Sandy Springs, Georgia. It was a sole part of the Catholic Health East until a partnership with Emory Healthcare and Catholic Health East became effective in January 2012. Saint Joseph's (also known as SJHA) was recognized as one of the 50 finest hospitals in the country by HealthGrades for 2007.Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1880, Saint Joseph's facility is Atlanta's oldest hospital.

Park Towers is a high-rise condominium and apartment development located in the portion of the Perimeter Center edge city which is within the U.S. city of Sandy Springs, Georgia. The development consists of three buildings: Park Towers I, Park Towers II, and Park Towers III (Park Towers Place). Buildings II and I are the third- and fourth-tallest buildings in the city (behind Concourse Corporate Center V & VI, the "King & Queen" towers), and fourth and fifth within Perimeter Center (behind Three Ravinia Drive in Dunwoody). The area is the fourth-largest business district in metro Atlanta (behind Atlanta's downtown, midtown, and Buckhead areas), and the first to reach outside the major city into the suburbs.

Built in phases between 1984 and 1991, the Concourse at Landmark Center is a real estate development in metro Atlanta's Perimeter Center business district, in the city of Sandy Springs, Georgia, United States. It is a 70 acre planned community with two 34-story office towers, several low-rise office buildings, a hotel, and a health club, all set in landscaped grounds around a human-made lake. Set at the northeastern corner of the junction of two of Atlanta's busiest highways (Interstate 285 and Georgia 400), the Concourse, with its blue glass towers, was a major addition to the Atlanta skyline for commuters traveling to and from the north side of suburban Atlanta. It houses several corporate headquarters, including those of Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc., CodeMettle, and Allconnect.

Perimeter Center is a major edge city in metro Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It is centered on Perimeter Mall, the nucleus around which it has formed. Perimeter Center is located north of Atlanta proper, and lies within three cities: Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, and Brookhaven. It is one of metro Atlanta's largest business districts, and one of the largest edge cities in the United States, comprising over 29 million square feet (2,700,000 m2) of office space, 6 million square feet (560,000 m2) of retail space, and 40,000 residents.

Northside Tower is a nine-story, mid-rise office building located at 6065 Roswell Road in downtown Sandy Springs, Georgia, a northern suburb of Atlanta. The building offers 121,520 square feet (11,290 m2) of office space, as well as street-level commercial vendors, including a restaurant. Construction of the building was completed in 1971, and the architectural design is in the form of early-seventies modern. The building is technically considered part of the Perimeter Center office sub-market. The significance of Northside Tower comes from the purpose it has served as an unofficial landmark for the center of Sandy Springs, even before the city's incorporation in 2005.

The Mount Vernon School (MV) is a private, independent, coeducational day school ("grounded in Christian values") in Sandy Springs, Georgia, United States, with an Atlanta postal address. It was founded in 1972. The Mount Vernon School was formerly known as Mount Vernon Presbyterian School (MVPS).

Nancy Creek is a 16.3-mile-long (26.2 km) stream in northern Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It begins in far northern DeKalb County, just north of Chamblee, and flows southwestward into Fulton County, through the far southeast corner of Sandy Springs, then through the Buckhead area of Atlanta. It empties into Peachtree Creek, which then flows into the Chattahoochee River, south of Vinings and Paces. The Chattahoochee eventually joins with the Flint River to create the Apalachicola River, which flows into the Gulf of Mexico. The North Fork Nancy Creek is a major tributary, while Little Nancy Creek tends to run low or dry. Other tributaries include Bubbling Creek which originates in Chamblee, Perimeter Creek which originates in Dunwoody and Silver Creek which includes the 38-acre Silver Lake and Little Silver Lake. Since 1994, Nancy Creek has had a USGS stream gauge in the Paces neighborhood of Atlanta at West Wesley Road (NANG1, 33°50′18″N 84°26′22″W), with NWS flood stage being 12.0 feet (3.7 m) at that point. The drainage basin above it is 37.7 square miles (98 km2). Since 2003, there is another gauge further upstream in Buckhead at Rickenbacker Drive (NCKG1, 33°52′09″N 84°22′44″W). The basin at that point is 26.6 square miles (69 km2), above an elevation of 810 feet (250 m), with a flood stage of 11.0 feet (3.4 m). Records of manual observations actually go back to 1961 at both sites (which are considered to be "at Atlanta"), but the latter gauge (often called "at Buckhead" to avoid ambiguity) appears to be the officially-used one.
