Nowe Warpno Bay

Altwarp (Polish: Stare Warpno) is a municipality in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in north-eastern Germany, on the border with Poland. It has about 500 inhabitants and is located on the Nowe Warpno Bay opposite the Polish town of Nowe Warpno within the historic region of Pomerania.

The Piast Canal (German: Kaiserfahrt, Polish: Kanał Piastowski) is a ship canal that connects the Szczecin Lagoon in the estuary of the Oder river with the Baltic Sea via the Świna river. The eastern part of the Świna is bypassed by the canal, providing a more convenient south-north connection for large ships from the Baltic to reach the industrial city of Szczecin (German: Stettin) more easily.

Brzózki [ˈbʐuski] (German: Althagen) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Nowe Warpno, within Police County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland, close to the German border.It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) south-east of Nowe Warpno, 20 km (12 mi) north-west of Police, and 32 km (20 mi) north-west of the regional capital Szczecin.

Karsibór (formerly German: Kaseburg or Caseburg) is an island in the Szczecin Lagoon, Poland, which was created by the cutting of the Piast Canal which separated it from the island of Usedom. The island was named after its largest village (now district of the town of Świnoujście). In 1880, the Kaiserfahrt (Piast Canal) channel was opened providing a water route with a depth of 10 metres (33 ft) connecting the lagoon with the Baltic Sea bypassing the eastern part of the Świna arm (Old Świna) of the Oder River, allowing large ships quicker and safer enter the lagoon and the seaport of Szczecin than on the natural river. The canal, approximately 12 km (7.5 mi) long and 10 metres (33 ft) deep, was dug by the German Empire between 1874 and 1880, during the reign of the first Kaiser Wilhelm (1797–1888) after whom it was named. After the defeat of Germany in World War II, under the terms of the Potsdam Agreement, in 1945 the region became part of Poland, which renamed the canal after the Piast dynasty. There is a memorial to the British pilots of the No. 617 Squadron RAF, who were shot down by Germany in April 1945.

Wolin Smock Mill (Polish: wiatrak holenderski w Wolinie) is a smock mill in the town of Wolin in the Kamień County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland. It is located in the eastern part of the town near the commentary, at the Jaracza Street. It is registered as a object of cultural heritage.Mill was built in 1850. It has 3 consignations and has circular base. Currently it acts as an industrial mill.

It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south-east of Nowe Warpno, 19 km (12 mi) north-west of Police, and 31 km (19 mi) north-west of the regional capital Szczecin. Karsiborska Kępa (formerly German: Kaseburger Hutung) is an island near Świnoujście in north-western Poland. It is also the name of a nature reserve and bird sanctuary on the island. The island is known for being possibly the most important breeding area for the aquatic warbler. OTOP, the Polish Society for the Protection of Birds bought 1.8 square kilometres of the island. The whole island covers some 3 km2 and is the only reserve owned by OTOP. The number of aquatic warblers on the island depends on the water level and the available vegetation. There were between 55 singing males in the late 1990s. The island consists of large meadows, pastures, and it has large reed beds. Numerous other breeding birds include: marsh and Montagu's harriers, Eurasian curlew, common redshank and bearded tit. Other species include white-tailed eagle, black kite and lesser spotted eagle. On passage there are numerous flocks of geese, waterfowl, cranes and waders. The other forms of wildlife include wild boar and occasionally otter. The site is frequented by birders and is placed ideally for those driving to Poland via Germany.

Dobieszczyn [dɔˈbjɛʂt͡ʂɨn] (German: Entepöl) is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Police, within Police County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland, close to the German border. It lies approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi) north-west of Police and 27 km (17 mi) north-west of the regional capital Szczecin.
