Stepping Stones Light is a Victorian-style lighthouse in Long Island Sound, in Nassau County, New York. The lighthouse is square-shaped and made of red brick, standing one-and-a-half stories high. The Hudson-Athens Lighthouse is a virtual twin of this structure. The light is in current use, under the management of the United States Coast Guard. It is not open to the public. The reef upon which it sits was given its name by Siwanoy (Minnefords) Native American legends. According to the legend, the tribe used warriors, medicine, and magic to chase the devil out of present-day Westchester County, New York onto City Island (formerly Greater Minneford Island), surrounding him at Belden Point. The devil then picked up huge boulders lying there and tossed them into Long Island Sound, using them as stepping stones to make his escape. The natives named the rocks, "The Devil's Stepping Stones". It was added to the National Register of Historic Places as Stepping Stones Light Station on September 15, 2005, reference number 05001026. The light station has been declared surplus, and the application for transfer under the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act of 2000 is under review. In 2008, the light station was transferred to the Town of North Hempstead. In 2014, the Town of North Hempstead entered into a partnership with the Great Neck Historical Society and the Great Neck Park District to raise funds to rehabilitate the Lighthouse. The National Park Service and New York State Senator Jack Martins provided $165,000 and $100,000 in grant funding, respectively, to support the restoration efforts.

Little Neck Bay is an embayment in western Long Island, New York, off Long Island Sound. Little Neck Bay forms the western boundary of the Great Neck Peninsula, the eastern boundary of which is Manhasset Bay. The political boundary between Nassau County and the borough of Queens runs through the bay, bordering the neighborhood of Douglaston–Little Neck.

Saddle Rock Grist Mill is a historic grist mill building located in Saddle Rock, a village in the town of North Hempstead in Nassau County, New York. It is a 2+1⁄2-story gambrel-roofed structure. Adjacent is a stream-fed millpond that is supplemented by tidal water impounded by the dam. It dates to the 18th century and is the only extant, operating tidal grist mill on Long Island. The building underwent restoration in the 1950s and is operated as a local history museum.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The 9-11 Memorial Bridge (formerly known as the Saddle Rock Bridge and Udall's Bridge) is a bridge in the Incorporated Village of Saddle Rock in the Town of North Hempstead, in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States.

North Shore Hebrew Academy (NSHA or NSHAHS) is a Modern Orthodox yeshiva located in Great Neck, New York. The academy has four divisions: Pre-K, Elementary (Grades K-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8) and High School (Grades 9-12). The founding principal of North Shore Hebrew Academy was Rabbi Dr. Ephraim Wolf.North Shore Hebrew Academy grades Pre-K through 5th grade is located at 16 Cherry Lane in Great Neck, NY. It has a total student population of about 400 students. North Shore Hebrew Academy Middle School (Grades 6-8) is located at 26 Old Mill Road in Great Neck, NY 11024, sharing a campus with the Great Neck Synagogue. It has a total student population of approximately 170 students.North Shore Hebrew Academy High School (Grades 9-12) is located at 400 North Service Road, Great Neck, NY 11020. The total student population is approximately 400 students. The high school was founded in 2001; a new 187,000 sq ft (17,400 m2) facility was opened in 2006. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association. The school was rocked by a cheating scandal in 2011, as were some other schools on Long Island; local youth were paid to take SAT and ACT tests for students. In 2016, Niche.com listed it as one of the 100 best private schools in New York.The high school and middle school athletic teams are called the Lions. Ivan Kaufman is the Chairman of the Board and Daniella Muller is the President. Kaufman was the primary initiator of the effort to add a high school, which opened in September 2000. From 2001 through 2022 Dr. Daniel J. Vitow was the Headmaster of the high school. This position was given to Rabbi Dr. Jeffrey Kobrin, who had previously been the Rosh Yeshiva and head of the elementary and middle school divisions. On December 15, 2020, North Shores website and email system was hacked and was bombarded with antisemitic content including but not limited to Hitlers speeches, hate speech about a school trip to the “ovens” and messaging to the students and teachers.

Saddle Rock is a village on the Great Neck Peninsula in the Town of North Hempstead, in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 989 at the time of the 2020 census.

Fort Totten is a former active United States Army installation in the New York City borough of Queens. It is located on the Willets Point peninsula on the north shore of Long Island. Fort Totten is at the head of Little Neck Bay, where the East River widens to become Long Island Sound. While the U.S. Army Reserve continues to maintain a presence at the fort, the property is now owned by the City of New York. The neighborhood has buses and served by MTA Regional Bus Operations Q13 and Q16 Buses.

Fort Totten Officers' Club, also known as the Castle, is a historic clubhouse located at Fort Totten in Bayside, Queens, New York. The officers' club was built in the 1870s and expanded to its present size in 1887. It is a large Late Gothic Revival style building. It is a two-story, rectangular frame building with a projecting central tower pavilion and sheathed in clapboard. It features identical, polygonal, three story towers and a wood parapet surrounding the roofline.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Kings Point is a village located on the Great Neck Peninsula in the Town of North Hempstead in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 5,005 at the 2010 census.

Saddle Rock Elementary School or simply "Saddle Rock" is an elementary school, comprising grades Kindergarten through 5. It is a public school located in Great Neck, New York, USA as part of the Great Neck School District. The school has been recognized by the Blue Ribbon Schools Program. As of the 2007-08 school year, the elementary school had 73 Students in Kindergarten, 75 students in 1st grade, 80 students in 2nd grade, 97 students in 3rd grade, 83 students in 4th grade, 95 students in 5th grade and 31 ungraded students. The school had 47.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), the school had a student-teacher ratio of 11.4 during the 2006-2007 academic year.

Ben's Kosher Deli is a New York City-based Jewish deli chain with locations in Queens, Long Island and Boca Raton, Florida. Ben's was founded in 1972. Ben's formerly operated a midtown location which had catered events such as Broadway premieres and fashion shows, such as the 2023 Batsheva Hay show. The owner of Ben's, Ronnie Dragoon, owned at one time 7 locations. He started the business when he was 24 years old. The restaurant is glatt kosher certified by mashgichim affiliated with the Rabbinical Assembly. It is open on Shabbat. The Scarsdale location was open from 2015 until 2021. The Manhattan location merged with a kosher restaurant called Mr. Broadway.

John L. Miller Great Neck North High School or simply "Great Neck North," is a public high school, including grades 9 through 12, in the village of Great Neck, New York, operated by the Great Neck School District. As of the 2018–19 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,172 students and 105.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.1:1. There were 198 students (16.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 20 (1.7% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The school building was designed by the noted architectural firm of Guilbert and Betelle. According to Newsweek magazine's 2015 list of "America's Best High Schools," Great Neck North High School was ranked 105th. The school is on Polo Road, about a mile and a half from the LIRR Railroad station.
