Cypress Avenue light rail station is an important public transport interchange in the Gold Coast suburb of Surfers Paradise. The station is part of the Gold Coast's G:link light rail system situated on the corner of Cypress Avenue and Surfers Paradise Boulevard. The G:link connects Broadbeach South with Helensvale railway station via the key activity centres of Surfers Paradise and Southport. Cypress Avenue also provides a bus connection to Nerang via the Nerang railway station.

Surfers Paradise is a suburb in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, Surfers Paradise had a population of 23,689 people.Colloquially known as "Surfers", the suburb has many high-rise apartment buildings and a wide surf beach. Surfers Paradise is the Gold Coast's entertainment and tourism centre and the suburb's high-rise buildings are the best known feature of the city's skyline. In 2009 as part of the Q150 celebrations, Surfers Paradise was announced as one of the Q150 Icons of Queensland for its role as a "location".

The Gold Coast City Art Gallery was a regional Art museum located in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. Opened in 1986, the Gallery was part of HOTA, Home of the Arts (formerly known as the Gold Coast Art Centre) which is funded by the Gold Coast City Council . After 33 years, the Gold Coast City Art Gallery closed in 2018 to prepare for the opening of the new $60.5m HOTA gallery in early 2021.

Home of the Arts (HOTA) is a cultural precinct situated in Surfers Paradise, City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. HOTA presents live music, theatre, dance, comedy, opera, kids shows, art, cinema from local, national and international artists and companies. It is surrounded by parklands and a lake.The HOTA precinct is the centre-piece of the City of Gold Coast Council’s Gold Coast Cultural Precinct masterplan.HOTA, formerly known as The Arts Centre Gold Coast and Gold Coast Arts Centre, was also home to the Gold Coast City Art Gallery which closed in 2018 to prepare for the opening of the new HOTA Gallery in early 2021.

Circle on Cavill is a $551 million commercial development with two residential towers built by the Sunland Group and positioned in a key city block in the heart of the Surfers Paradise CBD, neighbouring with Towers of Chevron Renaissance shopping mall and resort apartment complex. Circle on Cavill is bounded by the main Surfers Paradise Boulevard at the western end of Cavill Mall and river end of Cavill Avenue, between the Gold Coast Highway and Ferny Avenue, in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The street address for the Circle on Cavill residential apartments is 9 Ferny Avenue, Surfers Paradise. The South Tower was completed around March 2007 and the North Tower was completed around July 2007. Both towers are joined on level 4 lounge which takes in the view of the Nerang River. The tallest point of the north tower is approximately 220 m and reflects a recent trend to building upwards in Surfers' skyline, also reflected in the construction of Q1 and Soul.

Surfers Paradise North light rail station opened in July 2014 with the commencement of stage 1 of the G:link system.

Facilities include a recreation area with swimming pool, spa, fitness courtyard, and barbecue area, located on the top level of a five-level podium. A residents’ indoor pool will be included on level 32. The three level basement will accommodate 392 parking spaces. At a height of 271 metres (856 ft), it is the second tallest building on the Gold Coast, after Q1. The building features five top-floor penthouses. A development application was lodged with the Gold Coast City Council in December 2017. An objection against the development was lodged in January 2018. Construction subsequently began in mid 2018, before topping out in late 2021.

The 2013 Armor All Gold Coast 600 was a motor race for the Australian sedan-based V8 Supercars racing cars. It was the eleventh event of the 2013 International V8 Supercars Championship. It was held on the weekend of 25–27 October at the Surfers Paradise Street Circuit on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The twelfth event on the Gold Coast saw Craig Lowndes take the championship lead from Triple Eight Race Engineering teammate Jamie Whincup after Whincup and co-driver Paul Dumbrell failed to finish the Saturday race, with Dumbrell causing a heavy crash for Greg Murphy before suffering a drive-train failure. Lowndes and co-driver Warren Luff won the race from pole ahead of Shane van Gisbergen and Jeroen Bleekemolen, the first Dutchman to stand on a V8 Supercar podium, and Mark Winterbottom and Steven Richards. David Reynolds won the first race of his career in the Sunday race, with he and co-driver Dean Canto winning from pole. Fabian Coulthard and Luke Youlden finished second ahead of Russell Ingall and Ryan Briscoe, Briscoe's first podium finish and Ingall's first since 2009. James Courtney and Murphy looked set to take victory until a steering problem put them out of the race. Whincup and Dumbrell finished fourth while Lowndes and Luff were eighth, leaving Lowndes with a six-point championship lead. Lowndes and Luff won the Endurance Cup ahead of Whincup and Dumbrell and Winterbottom and Richards.

The 2010 Armor All Gold Coast 600 was the eleventh event of the 2010 V8 Supercar Championship Series. It was held on the weekend of 22 to 24 October at the Surfers Paradise Street Circuit in Queensland. V8 Supercars became the naming right category of the event for the first time in 2010 after racing as a support category for international open wheel racing for many of the previous Surfers Paradise events. In 2009 V8 Supercar were the leading category but not the naming rights category as that had been previously marketed as a double header with A1 Grand Prix who failed to arrive. In an altered format for 2010 the races would take place over two 300 kilometres (190 mi) races with a driver change in the first time a third co-driver event was held in an Australian touring car season since 1990. In an effort to keep the events former international flavour each V8 Supercar team has employed a driver with an 'international reputation' with many drivers coming from the IndyCar Series and the World Touring Car Championship.

The 2014 Castrol Edge Gold Coast 600 was a motor race for V8 Supercars. It was the twelfth event of the 2014 International V8 Supercars Championship, held from 24–26 October at the Surfers Paradise Street Circuit on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Race 31 saw the Tekno Autosports entry of Shane van Gisbergen and Jonathon Webb take the chequered flag after qualifying on pole. Championship leader Jamie Whincup and co-driver Paul Dumbrell came home in second position. Mark Winterbottom originally finished third, but was penalised for bumping into Tim Slade on the final lap. Slade and co-driver Tony D'Alberto were promoted to third. Whincup and Dumbrell took out Race 32 and the Pirtek Enduro Cup for 2014. Garry Rogers Motorsport's Scott McLaughlin, and Frenchman Alexandre Prémat, came second after starting on pole. The Nissan Altima of Michael Caruso and Dean Fiore rounded out the podium. The second race finished time certain following extended periods of the safety car.
