Kodambakkam

KM Music Conservatory (KMMC) is a higher education institution founded in 2008 by the A. R. Rahman foundation. Located in Arumbakkam, Chennai, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, the conservatory offers a range of part-time and full-time courses in Hindustani and Western classical music and music technology. Composer A. R. Rahman is the founder and principal, Fathima Rafiq the executive director.

Akshar Árbol International School is a Pre-K to 12th grade International School in Chennai. Ayodhya Mandapam is a common meeting hall type of building-structure specifically made for the purpose of sath-sangamam (association of like-minded or common interest on religious development/discourses) at West Mambalam, Chennai, India. The mandapam is managed by Sri Ram Samaj. who also operate Mithilapuri Kalyana Mandapam - a marriage hall, Sri Sitaram Vidyalaya school and Gnanavapi - a place for conducting funeral rites. The Mandapam was constructed in 1964 and initially it was open to the Iyers of Mambalam (a set of Brahmin Community). Later it was made available for all the other communities. Till now it is known for the association/meeting point for Brahmin community. Periodic discourses on Vedas and Upanishads as well as several cultural meet-outs are handled throughout the year. In the month of March–April of every year, programmes in connection to Rama Navami Maha-utsav is very special at Ayodhya Mandapam. In January 2014, this society was taken over by HR & CE department of Tamil Nadu Government. After protest by the general public/ the Chief Justice of Madras High Court stayed the proceedings of the Tamil Nadu Government. As usual Sri Ram Samaj is managed by the committee appointed by General Body of Sri Ram Samaj. Sri Ram Samaj is a registered society, managed by the elected body of 15 people. It consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Asst. Secretary and the Treasurer.

Vadapalani Andavar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Muruga. It is located in Vadapalani, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was renovated in the 1920s and a Rajagopuram was built during that time. The temple has grown in popularity, which is believed to be in part due to the patronage of cinema stars.

Vadapalani Metro station is a Metro railway station on the Line 2 of the Chennai Metro, which is currently under operation. The station is among the elevated stations along corridor II of the Chennai Metro, Chennai Central–St. Thomas Mount stretch. The station serves the neighbourhoods of Vadapalani and Kodambakkam. Vadapalani station is one of the major stations on the Koyambedu-Alandur stretch and became operational by early 2015.

Kodambakkam Railway Station is a railway station on the Chennai Beach–Chengalpattu section of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network. It serves the neighbourhood of Kodambakkam, Vadapalani, and Ashok Nagar. The railway station was already in existence when the Chennai Egmore-Kanchipuram suburban railway was opened in 1911.

Kodambakkam is an upcoming underground metro station on the East-West Corridor of the Orange Line of Chennai Metro in Chennai, India. This metro station will be among the 30 stations of Corridor IV and 12 underground stations along Corridor IV of the Chennai Metro, Poonamallee Bypass–Lighthouse stretch. This metro station is a key station in Orange Line having Chennai Suburban Railway station connectivity. It is slated to be operational by March 2027 along with remaining underground stations in orange line till Light house.
