Colégio Santa Maria is an American Catholic institution founded in 1948 and located in the southern part of the city of São Paulo, Brazil, and founded and maintained by the Congregation of Holy Cross. Initially founded as an exclusively female school, the college has expanded its educational offerings over the years, including cultural courses, programs for underprivileged children, and a preschool. Located in the Jardim Marajoara neighborhood, in the southern part of São Paulo, the college occupies a 180,000 m² campus, with five buildings designed by renowned architects such as Croce, Aflalo, and Gasperini, in addition to having extensive green areas. Recognized as one of the leading private schools in the State of São Paulo, Santa Maria College offers preschool, elementary, middle, and high school education, as well as evening supplementary education, serving approximately 3,500 students and currently directed by Professor Dr. Flávia Cristina Faria Dias. The institution adopts a humanistic educational approach, adapted to different learning styles, emphasizing the practical application of knowledge for a deeper understanding. Furthermore, it seeks to promote the holistic development of students, including cognitive, motor, and socio-emotional aspects.

Parque da Mônica

Parque da Mônica is a amusement park themed with the characters created by Maurício de Sousa. The first park had been designed by Maurício in 1993 at the Shopping Eldorado Paulistano, having operated until February 2010 when it closed for good its activities due to contractual problems with the mall's administrators and debts. Since then, Maurício has been in negotiations to reopen it at another location. A new park opened at Shopping SP Market on July 4, 2015, in the location of the extinct O Mundo da Xuxa. In 17 years of activities, until 2010, the park received more than 9 million visitors. In addition to the São Paulo park, there were already two branches: one in the shopping Città América carioca which operated from 2000 to 2005, and another in the Shopping Estação curitibain which operated from 1998 to 2000. There was also a smaller park called Estação Turma da Mônica, opened in 2004 in Campinas. In July 2018, a new Estação da Turma da Mônica was inaugurated at Shopping Cerrado in the city of Goiânia, Goiás. The following year, MSP inaugurated another Turma da Mônica Station in Olinda, Pernambuco. In addition to Brazil, Maurício opened in 2010 the first international branch of the park in the city of Luanda, capital of Angola.

Santo Amaro is a district located within the subprefecture of the same name in the southern area of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It was formerly a separate municipality from 1832 until 1935, when it was incorporated into the city of São Paulo. The district spans an area of 16.04 km² (6.19 sq mi), with a population of 85,349 recorded by the 2022 Brazilian census. Its most central part is the Largo 13 de Maio, where the Santo Amaro Cathedral and the Marco Zero (kilometre zero) of the old city of Santo Amaro are located. A German international school, Colégio Humboldt São Paulo (formerly named Ginásio Humboldt), is also located in Santo Amaro.
