Toorak Park

Toorak railway station is located on the Frankston line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Armadale, and opened on 7 May 1879.The present station dates from 1914, after the tracks between South Yarra and Caulfield were re-graded and quadruplicated.Freight traffic was withdrawn at Toorak on 30 June 1977.In 1993, major re-signalling works occurred between Toorak, Malvern, Armadale and Caulfield stations.Because the station is located in Armadale, suggestions have been made in the past about renaming the station, including naming the station after Albert Jacka, Australia's first recipient of the Victoria Cross, who was mayor of the nearby City of St Kilda.

Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak is an independent Roman Catholic single-sex primary and secondary day school for girls, located in Toorak, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is one of many Loreto schools around the world, established by the Loreto Sisters founded some 400 years ago by Mary Ward.The Loreto Sisters purchased Mandeville Hall in 1924, having previously established a school in Ballarat, and Albert Park with encouragement from St Mary MacKillop. Mandeville Hall was built in 1867 and is on the Victorian Heritage Register and is considered of national and international significance.Loreto Mandeville Hall had a co-educational Early Learning Centre established in 2002 which was in partnership with St. Kevin's College. This partnership was dissolved at the end of 2020 and ownership of the St Peter's Early Learning Centre was transferred to St Kevin's College. Both the junior school and secondary school are located at 10 Mandeville Crescent, Toorak.

The King David School is an independent comprehensive co-educational early learning, primary, and secondary progressive Jewish day school, located in Armadale, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The school currently caters for approximately 800 students from early learning to Year 12, and is affiliated with the Victorian Union of Progressive Judaism.

Armadale railway station is located on the Frankston line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Armadale, and it opened on 7 May 1879.The station, like the suburb itself, was named after Armadale House, the residence of former premier and attorney-general James Munro. The house was named after Armadale, Scotland, where Munro was born.The station was completely rebuilt when the line to Caulfield was re-graded in the early 20th century. The work included the quadruplication of the line, allowing stopping and express trains to run simultaneously.In 1978, a former goods siding and associated point work were booked out of use. A crossover was also removed around that time.

Armadale is an inner suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 7 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Stonnington local government area. Armadale recorded a population of 9,368 at the 2021 census.The suburb has its own railway station, as well as Toorak railway station, which is also in Armadale. It is bordered by Glenferrie Road to the east, Orrong Road to the west, Malvern Road to the north and Dandenong Road/Princes Highway to the south.

House at Caulfield, is a family home situated at 450 Dandenong Road in Caulfield North, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, designed by Anatol Kagan in 1956 for Polish-Jewish emigre Leo Lind and his wife Dorothy. Born in Russian on October 4, 1913 Anatol Kagan's career as an architect spanned over seven decades until his death on July 2, 2009. He was actively involved in the field of design, as well as a writer, translator, lecturer and political activist. The house is an important work of its period demonstrating the Modernist architectural movement of Melbourne during the mid 20th Century, and in 2018 was added to the Victorian Heritage Register. Kagan was also influenced by the works of his local contemporaries, Roy Grounds, Frederick Romberg and Robin Boyd.

It has the highest average property values in Melbourne, and is one of the most expensive suburbs in Australia. The suburb's main street is considered to be Toorak Road, on which the commercial area of Toorak Village is located. Toorak is named after Toorak House, the 1849-built residence of James Jackson, a merchant. The suburb has also been a preferred location for many consulate offices and their residences, including China, the US, Britain, Monaco, Sweden, Turkey, and Switzerland.

The electoral district of Toorak was an electorate of the Victorian Legislative Assembly in the British colony and later Australian state of Victoria.

Lauriston Girls' School is an independent, non-denominational, day school for girls, located in Armadale, an inner south-eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The school follows the motto; Sancte, Sapienter, Strenue. This motto is Latin for Holiness, Wisdom, Strength. Established in 1901, Lauriston has a non-selective enrolment policy and is co-educational for three-year-old and four-year-old Kindergarten, and girls-only from Prep through to Year 12. The school currently caters for approximately 1040 students and offers the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and is also one of the few Victorian schools that offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) for the Year 11/12 students. Prahran (IPA: ), also pronounced colloquially as Pran, is an inner suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 5 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Stonnington local government area. At the 2016 Census Prahran had a population of 12,982. Prahran is a part of Greater Melbourne, with many shops, restaurants and cafes. Chapel Street is a mix of upscale fashion boutiques and cafes. Greville Street, once the centre of the Melbourne's hippie community, has many cafés, bars, restaurants, bookstores, clothing shops and music shops. Prahran takes its name from Pur-ra-ran, a Boonwurrung word which was thought to mean "land partially surrounded by water". When naming began the suburbs spelling was intended to be Praharan and pronounced Pur-ra-ran, but a spelling mistake on a government form lead to the name Prahran. More recently the word Pur-ra-ran has been identified as a transcription of "Birrarung", the name for the Yarra River, or a specific point of it.
