The Bloomingdale School District is a comprehensive public school district serving students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Bloomingdale, in Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.As of the 2019–20 school year, the district, comprised of three schools, had an enrollment of 564 students and 44.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.6:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "FG", the fourth-highest of eight groupings. Butler is a former commuter railroad train station in the borough of Butler, Morris County, New Jersey. Serving passenger and freight trains of the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway, Butler served as the western terminus of service beginning in 1941, when passenger service was cut from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Trains from Butler operated to Pavonia Terminal in Jersey City until December 12, 1958 and then Susquehanna Transfer in North Bergen until the discontinuation of service on June 30, 1966. Butler station consisted of a single low-level side platform with the wooden frame station. The next station east was Bloomingdale. Railroad service through Butler began on May 1, 1872 with the opening of the New Jersey Midland Railroad from Pompton Township to Middletown, New York. However, the station at the time was known as West Bloomingdale. The station depot, built in Stick–Eastlake architecture in 1888, currently serves as the Butler Museum, a local nonprofit historical entity. The National Register of Historic Places added Butler station to its listings on January 24, 2002 for its transportation significance.

The Patriots' Path is a multi-use trail system in Morris County, New Jersey, open to cyclists, hikers, and horseback riders, consisting of a 55-mile main trail with 35 miles of spur trails. The main trail is marked with white blazes or a white circular blaze with a brown tree. The spur trails are marked with blue blazes or a white circle with a blue tree, while the side spur trails are marked with a red blaze or a white circle with a red tree.Patriots' Path stretches from East Hanover, where it connects with the Lenape Trail in Essex County, to Allamuchy Mountain State Park in Sussex County, and the Village of High Bridge in Hunterdon County. In southern Morris County, the path travels mostly along the corridors of the Whippany River, Black River, and Raritan River. Different portions of Patriots' Path include bike trails (paved), cross-country skiing, equestrian trails, and hiking trails (handicap accessible). Parts of the trail are along the right of way of the former Rockaway Valley Railroad.The Patriots’ Path is a part of two other larger trail systems. It is included in the Liberty–Water Gap Trail and the September 11th National Memorial Trail. The Liberty–Water Gap Trail is approximately 150 miles and the September 11th National Memorial Trail is 1300 miles long. The Patriots’ Path is a popular location for scouts to complete their Eagle Project. Some of the Eagle Projects that scouts have completed on the Patriots’ Path include installing benches, extending the trail and installing proper signage, and trail renovation and beautification. A particularly popular project to complete is installing a footbridge on the trail.

Pompton Junction is a former railroad station and active railroad junction in the borough of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, United States. The station is located on the New York and Greenwood Lake Railway and the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway, both subsidiaries of the Erie Railroad. Pompton Junction contained two side platforms at a diamond crossing, with a station depot on the Susquehanna Railroad side and a station canopy on the Greenwood Lake side. A railroad tower with the telegraph call letters "PJ" was present on the Greenwood Lake side of the station.The station opened with the construction of the Montclair Railway, a subsidiary of the New York and Oswego Midland Railroad, on January 1, 1873. The Erie Railroad closed the station in November 1921 for a few months, before reopening again in January 1922. On the New York and Greenwood Lake side, the Erie closed the station for good in September 1930 and the Susquehanna Railroad station burned down on May 8, 1941.
