Kinnelon Public Schools

Butler is a borough in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 8,047, an increase of 508 (+6.7%) from the 2010 census count of 7,539, which in turn reflected an increase of 119 (+1.6%) from the 7,420 counted in the 2000 census.Butler was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 13, 1901, from portions of Pequannock Township.

Butler is a former commuter railroad train station in the borough of Butler, Morris County, New Jersey. Serving passenger and freight trains of the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway, Butler served as the western terminus of service beginning in 1941, when passenger service was cut from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Trains from Butler operated to Pavonia Terminal in Jersey City until December 12, 1958 and then Susquehanna Transfer in North Bergen until the discontinuation of service on June 30, 1966. Butler station consisted of a single low-level side platform with the wooden frame station. The next station east was Bloomingdale. Railroad service through Butler began on May 1, 1872 with the opening of the New Jersey Midland Railroad from Pompton Township to Middletown, New York. However, the station at the time was known as West Bloomingdale. The station depot, built in Stick–Eastlake architecture in 1888, currently serves as the Butler Museum, a local nonprofit historical entity. The National Register of Historic Places added Butler station to its listings on January 24, 2002 for its transportation significance.

Students from Bloomingdale attend Butler High School as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Bloomingdale School District. In 2020–21, more than 40% of the students in the high school came from Bloomingdale.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 455 students and 40.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.2:1. Friendship Park is a 45-acre (18 ha) passive park located off Glenwild Avenue in Bloomingdale, New Jersey. It contains trails and creates opportunities for passive recreation in a natural, woodland setting. A limited number of picnic tables are located along the trails of this park. The NY and NJ Trail Conference has marked several trails with yellow, orange, red, and blue markers in 2012 to guide hikers.

Kikeout Mountain is a summit in Kinnelon borough, Morris County, New Jersey, in the United States.The name Kikeout derives from the Dutch word kijkuit, meaning "lookout". "Kakeout" is the local pronunciation of the name of the mountain and adjacent reservoir, but the spelling has caused a degree of local controversy due to its similarity to the word kike, an ethnic slur referring to Jews.

As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 4,107, an increase of 548 (+15.4%) from the 2010 census count of 3,559, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,061 (+42.5%) from the 2,498 counted in the 2000 census.Riverdale was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 12, 1923, from portions of Pequannock Township, subject to the results of a referendum passed on April 17, 1923. Riverdale is situated in the northeasternmost part of Morris County bordering Passaic County along the Pequannock and Pompton rivers.

Smoke Rise is an upscale gated community in Kinnelon, New Jersey that was created out of the estate of Francis Kinney, a 19th-century industrialist who founded Kinney Brothers Tobacco Company. The Kinney estate dates back to 1884, when Francis Kinney, a pioneer in the tobacco industry, built a huge "summer cottage" here. His son, Morris Kinney, for whom the borough of Kinnelon was named 41 years later, lived most of his life on the estate. The community encompasses more than 900 unique homes located on 2,500 acres (1,000 ha) in addition to Lake Kinnelon. Located in the north woods of New Jersey, the gated lakeside community provides 24-hour security, activities, clubs and special events grounded in a tradition of community spirit and service. The community was conceived and based on a dual philosophy that no two homes would look alike with a minimum size of 2,500 square feet located on a one and a half acre wooded lot.The community only has two entrances: one from Route 23 south (North Gate entrance) and the other from Kinnelon Road (East Gate entrance).
