Jardim Oceânico is a region of Rio de Janeiro, but not officially recognized as a neighborhood.

The LSH Hotel, formerly the Trump Hotel Rio de Janeiro, is a hotel in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The hotel was announced in 2014, as a joint project between Donald Trump's company, The Trump Organization, and LSH Barra, a Brazilian-based developer. A portion of the hotel opened in August 2016, in time for the city's 2016 Summer Olympics. Later that year, a Brazilian prosecutor began investigating two small pension funds that contributed a total of $40 million to the project. The Trump Organization subsequently ended its management agreement with LHS Barra due to construction delays, and the hotel was renamed as the LHS Barra Hotel shortly thereafter.

Palace II was a tower block built at Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. On February 22, 1998, parts of it collapsed, due to engineering error, killing eight people. Another part of its structure collapsed on February 27, 1998, and the remaining parts of the building were demolished on February 28, 1998. Before the building was demolished, researchers found empty piers and evidence of the usage of beach sand on the construction. All families had to move to hotels after the building's fall. They had no time to collect their personal objects in their apartments. Although most of them have not yet received any kind of indemnity from the company responsible for building their homes, the Superior Court of Justice of Brazil announced, on April 9, 2008, the unblocking of 13 million reais (~6.5 million US dollars) earned through the auction of a property of Sérgio Naya, the civil engineer who had designed and built the building, which will be given to the 130 families who lived there.

The HSBC Brazil Cup was an international golf exhibition tournament, sanctioned by the LPGA Tour and first played in 2009. The tournament took place over two days and 36 holes at the Itanhanga Golf Club in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The money earned did not count on the official LPGA money list, making the event an unofficial part of the LPGA Tour. The field for the inaugural event in January 2009 included only 15 players: 14 LPGA Tour members and a Brazilian amateur. In 2010, the field was expanded to 27 players, which included two amateurs, and was moved to late May. The 2011 tournament included thirty players, all professionals.The tournament title sponsor was HSBC, the world's largest banking group, with headquarters in London. Pedra da Gávea is a monolithic mountain in Tijuca Forest, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Composed of granite and gneiss, its elevation is 844 metres (2,769 ft), making it one of the highest mountains in the world that ends directly in the ocean. Trails on the mountain were opened up by the local farming population in the early 1800s; today, the site is under the administration of the Tijuca National Park.The mountain's name translates as Rock of the Topsail, and was given to it during the expedition of Captain Gaspar de Lemos, begun in 1501, and in which the Rio de Janeiro bay (today Guanabara Bay, but after which the city was named) also received its name. The mountain, one of the first in Brazil to be named in Portuguese, was named by the expedition's sailors, who compared its silhouette to that of the shape of a topsail of a carrack upon sighting it on January 1, 1502. That name in turn came to be given to the Gávea area of the city of Rio de Janeiro.Differential weathering on one side of the rock has created what is described as a stylized human face. Markings on another face of the rock have been described as an inscription. Geologists and scientists are nearly in agreement that the "inscription" is the result of erosion and that the "face" is a product of pareidolia. Furthermore, the consensus of archaeologists and scholars in Brazil is that the mountain should not be viewed as an archaeological site.

Rio das Pedras is a region of Rio de Janeiro, but not officially recognized as a neighborhood. The favela sits in Rio de Janeiro’s West Zone by the neighborhood of Itanhangá. Rio das Pedras’ borders are defined by the Tijuca National Park, the Tijuca Lagoon, and private land designated for the expansion of Barra da Tijuca.

Barra Shopping is a Brazilian shopping center located in the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. The center was opened in 1981.

São Conrado (Portuguese: /sɐ̃w̃ kõˈʁadu/) is a neighborhood in the South Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is nestled in between the neighborhoods of Barra da Tijuca to the southwest and Leblon to the northeast. The neighborhood takes its name from a small church, Igreja de São Conrado (Church of São Conrado), which was constructed early in the 20th century by Conrado Jacob Niemeyer (1831-1905). São Conrado, which ranks as one of the areas with the highest Human Development Index in Brazil, presents a stark contrast to Rocinha on its border, which is one of the largest and poorest favelas in Brazil. São Conrado is famous for its hang gliding (popular with locals and tourists alike), Fashion Mall which houses over 150 stores carrying national and international designers, and golf course. The neighborhood, or bairro, is made up of sophisticated residential buildings, night clubs, and elegant restaurants. The famous Morro Dois Irmãos, or Two Brothers Mountain, featured in movies, television shows, and postcards from the city, separates the neighborhood from the rest of the South Zone. It is also noted for the mansions on the foot of the Pedra da Gávea, the largest seaside granite rock on Earth, which separates São Conrado from the West Zone. The House at Canoas (Casa das Canoas), the private home of Oscar Niemeyer (1907-2012), is located on Estrada das Canoas and is considered a masterpiece of Mid-century modern residential architecture.São Conrado has been the most expensive and sought-after address in Rio, with celebrities such as Xuxa and even the mayor calling the area home. Real estate in the neighborhood is some of the priciest in South America.

Terminal Alvorada is a bus station in Barra da Tijuca in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The terminal was renovated in 2013.
