930 Poydras is a 21-story, 270.31-foot (82.4 m) residential skyscraper in New Orleans, Louisiana. Located on Poydras Street, the main thoroughfare in the city's Central Business District (CBD), it is the tallest building completed in the city in the 2010s and the first residential skyscraper completed in the city following Hurricane Katrina. Some sources affirm that the building was financed via Gulf Opportunity Zone financing that was enacted by the United States Congress to aid in the recovery from Katrina, while other sources state that alternative financing was used. The building's construction was the subject of a court battle regarding damage to surrounding buildings. Nonetheless, the building's design, which was scaled back from early plans, has won many awards.

The First Bank and Trust Tower (also known as the First Bank Tower and previously known as the LL&E Tower and 909 Poydras Tower), located at 909 Poydras Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 36-story, 481 feet (147 m)-tall skyscraper designed in the post-modern style by Welton Becket & Associates and developed by Joseph C. Canizaro. It is the fifth tallest building in both the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana. Floors 2-8 are parking levels, and 10-36 hold office space. Hertz Investment Group is the current owner, having acquired the building in 2005. Beau Box Commercial Real Estate handles the leasing for this building. The current name comes from the New Orleans area bank First Bank and Trust, the previous name comes from the Louisiana Land & Exploration Company. The exterior of the building is clad in granite and bronze tinted glass. The building is illuminated by spotlights at night, making it one of the most visible buildings in New Orleans' night time skyline. The 7 levels of parking are accessed from O'Keefe Avenue. In front of the main entrance on Poydras Street are a pair of bronze sculptures by Enrique Alférez depicting David and a lute player. The building suffered some damage during Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, including blown out windows and roof damage. The building reopened to tenants in late 2005.

The Energy Centre, located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 39-story, 530 feet (162 m) -tall skyscraper designed by HKS, Inc. It is the fourth tallest building in both the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana. A four-story parking garage is adjacent to the tower, one block upriver. The garage is accessible from both Loyola Avenue and South Rampart Street. The building experienced minor damage during Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. Some windows near the top of the tower were blown out, however, these windows were mostly false windows that cover the climate control systems on the roof. The ceilings of the overhangs on the street level were badly damaged but have since been repaired.

The Karnofsky Tailor Shop–House (also known as the Karnofsky Shop) was a historic, two-story building in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, that played a significant role in the early promotion of jazz when the neighborhood was known as "Back of Town". It was destroyed by Hurricane Ida in 2021.

The Hyatt Regency New Orleans is a 32-story, 361-foot (110 m)-tall hotel located at 601 Loyola Ave in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana. It has 1,193 guest rooms, including 95 suites. It is part of a complex of connected buildings, which includes the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, 1250 Poydras Plaza, Entergy Tower, and the Benson Tower. Originally opened in 1976, it was designed by Welton Becket and Associates. The Hyatt was severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and remained closed for six years, until 2011.

Entergy Tower (also known as One Poydras Plaza), located at 639 Loyola Avenue in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 28-story, 360 feet (110 m)-tall skyscraper. The building used to have the Consulate-General of Japan in New Orleans. In 2006, the Japanese Government announced that it was moving the consulate to Nashville, Tennessee. The diplomatic mission was relocated to be closer to industries and operations owned by Japanese companies.

NOPSI New Orleans, or the NOPSI Hotel, is a hotel in the historic NOPSI building in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana. The building is the former headquarters of New Orleans' main utilities company, the New Orleans Public Service Incorporated, which was set up in 1922 to consolidate numerous separate public utilities firms. Its nine-story building was designed by architects Favrot and Livaudais, and was constructed in 1927. The building "displayed some of the finest architectural finishes throughout the whole city. Perhaps the greatest feature was the ornate lobby that resembled the ground floor of a bank."The NOPSI entity relocated away in 1983, and the building was then vacant for many years. In 1991 it was included as a contributing building in the listing of the New Orleans Lower Central Business District onto the National Register of Historic Places.Eventually it was converted into the current 217-room hotel, which opened in 2017.It has been listed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as a member of the Historic Hotels of America program since 2016.The hotel is noted as one of few boutique hotels owned by black women. Sheila Johnson, NOPSI's owner who has had other business successes, is credited with reopening the hotel after it had been unused since the 1980s. It is deemed to be a luxury hotel, and its grand lobby has been asserted to be stunning.New Orleans City Business pointed out in 2021 that the renovation was an adaptive reuse project, one of few recent at that time, as suitable properties in New Orleans central business district were simply not available.It is now a top New Orleans hotel.The building is located essentially on the northwest corner of the intersection of Union and Baronne Streets. A small rectangular plaza at the very corner, however, makes a notched footprint into the building, so the building's footprint forms a very heavy L-shape around that rectangle. The plaza is walled off from the sidewalks and is part of the NOPSI property. It is just three blocks (0.2 miles (0.32 km) northeast along Baronne to New Orleans' major Canal Street thoroughfare, and then just one block southeast to the beginning of Bourbon Street, noted as a major entrance into the French Quarter. The building's roof sports an outdoor pool.

MechaCon was an annual three-day anime convention held during the summer at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was the oldest active anime convention in Louisiana.

Hancock Whitney Center, formerly One Shell Square, is a 51-story, 697-foot (212 m) skyscraper designed in the International style by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, located at 701 Poydras Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana. It is the tallest building in both the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana, and is taller than Louisiana's tallest peak, Driskill Mountain. The building is primarily used for leasable office space, with some retail space on the ground level. The design of the building is very similar to Houston's One Shell Plaza and Denver's Republic Plaza, as well as Rochester's Five Star Bank Plaza, all designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. Hines Interest is the developer of Hancock Whitney Center and Lincoln Property Company. Shell Oil Company is the building's largest tenant. The building was renamed in 2018. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places that same year.

1250 Poydras Plaza (also known as the Eni Building and formerly the Mobil Building), is a high-rise international-style office building located at 1250 Poydras Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana. It has 24 stories, and stands at a height of 342 feet (104 m). In June 2010, the Unified Command moved its headquarters from the Dutch Royal Shell Conference Center in Robert, Louisiana, to the building to deal with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
