930 Poydras is a 21-story, 270.31-foot (82.4 m) residential skyscraper in New Orleans, Louisiana. Located on Poydras Street, the main thoroughfare in the city's Central Business District (CBD), it is the tallest building completed in the city in the 2010s and the first residential skyscraper completed in the city following Hurricane Katrina. Some sources affirm that the building was financed via Gulf Opportunity Zone financing that was enacted by the United States Congress to aid in the recovery from Katrina, while other sources state that alternative financing was used. The building's construction was the subject of a court battle regarding damage to surrounding buildings. Nonetheless, the building's design, which was scaled back from early plans, has won many awards.

The Karnofsky Tailor Shop–House (also known as the Karnofsky Shop) was a historic, two-story building in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, that played a significant role in the early promotion of jazz when the neighborhood was known as "Back of Town". It was destroyed by Hurricane Ida in 2021.

The Energy Centre, located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 39-story, 530 feet (162 m) -tall skyscraper designed by HKS, Inc. It is the fourth tallest building in both the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana. A four-story parking garage is adjacent to the tower, one block upriver. The garage is accessible from both Loyola Avenue and South Rampart Street. The building experienced minor damage during Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. Some windows near the top of the tower were blown out, however, these windows were mostly false windows that cover the climate control systems on the roof. The ceilings of the overhangs on the street level were badly damaged but have since been repaired.

NOPSI New Orleans, or the NOPSI Hotel, is a hotel in the historic NOPSI building in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana. The building is the former headquarters of New Orleans' main utilities company, the New Orleans Public Service Incorporated, which was set up in 1922 to consolidate numerous separate public utilities firms. Its nine-story building was designed by architects Favrot and Livaudais, and was constructed in 1927. The building "displayed some of the finest architectural finishes throughout the whole city. Perhaps the greatest feature was the ornate lobby that resembled the ground floor of a bank."The NOPSI entity relocated away in 1983, and the building was then vacant for many years. In 1991 it was included as a contributing building in the listing of the New Orleans Lower Central Business District onto the National Register of Historic Places.Eventually it was converted into the current 217-room hotel, which opened in 2017.It has been listed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as a member of the Historic Hotels of America program since 2016.The hotel is noted as one of few boutique hotels owned by black women. Sheila Johnson, NOPSI's owner who has had other business successes, is credited with reopening the hotel after it had been unused since the 1980s. It is deemed to be a luxury hotel, and its grand lobby has been asserted to be stunning.New Orleans City Business pointed out in 2021 that the renovation was an adaptive reuse project, one of few recent at that time, as suitable properties in New Orleans central business district were simply not available.It is now a top New Orleans hotel.The building is located essentially on the northwest corner of the intersection of Union and Baronne Streets. A small rectangular plaza at the very corner, however, makes a notched footprint into the building, so the building's footprint forms a very heavy L-shape around that rectangle. The plaza is walled off from the sidewalks and is part of the NOPSI property. It is just three blocks (0.2 miles (0.32 km) northeast along Baronne to New Orleans' major Canal Street thoroughfare, and then just one block southeast to the beginning of Bourbon Street, noted as a major entrance into the French Quarter. The building's roof sports an outdoor pool.

New Orleans Exchange Centre, formerly known as Chevron Place, located at 935 Gravier Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 21-story, 238 feet (73 m)-tall skyscraper designed in the international style by Stanley Muller & Associates. Kingfish Development purchased the building from Chevron in 2010, using it primarily as leasable office space for more than a dozen businesses.

Hibernia Bank Building, at 812 Gravier Street at the corner of Carondelet Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 23-story, 355 feet (108 m)-tall skyscraper. It was once the headquarters of Hibernia National Bank. At the time it was completed in 1921, it was the tallest building in Louisiana. In 1932, the state capitol took that title.In 2006, Hibernia Bank began to vacate the building and move its offices to Place St. Charles. Only the retail bank in the lobby remained in service. 313 Carondelet, a joint venture of Historic Restoration Inc. and Woodward Interest LLC is converting the building into 176 mixed-income apartments and two floors of offices.The white tower atop the building remains a familiar part of the skyline, and during holidays is lit up with colored lights—red and green for Christmas and purple, green, and gold for New Orleans Mardi Gras. It once served as a navigational beacon for ships on the Mississippi River.

The Hyatt Regency New Orleans is a 32-story, 361-foot (110 m)-tall hotel located at 601 Loyola Ave in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana. It has 1,193 guest rooms, including 95 suites. It is part of a complex of connected buildings, which includes the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, 1250 Poydras Plaza, Entergy Tower, and the Benson Tower. Originally opened in 1976, it was designed by Welton Becket and Associates. The Hyatt was severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and remained closed for six years, until 2011.

Hancock Whitney Center, formerly One Shell Square, is a 51-story, 697-foot (212 m) skyscraper designed in the International style by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, located at 701 Poydras Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana. It is the tallest building in both the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana, and is taller than Louisiana's tallest peak, Driskill Mountain. The building is primarily used for leasable office space, with some retail space on the ground level. The design of the building is very similar to Houston's One Shell Plaza and Denver's Republic Plaza, as well as Rochester's Five Star Bank Plaza, all designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. Hines Interest is the developer of Hancock Whitney Center and Lincoln Property Company. Shell Oil Company is the building's largest tenant. The building was renamed in 2018. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places that same year.

The New Orleans Cotton Exchange was established in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1871 as a centralized forum for the trade of cotton. It operated in New Orleans until closing in 1964. Occupying several buildings over its history, its final location, the New Orleans Cotton Exchange Building, is now a National Historic Landmark.

First National Bank of Commerce Building, located at 210 Baronne Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 19-story, 252-foot (77 m)-tall skyscraper. Currently, the building is slated to be home of the Kailas Tower condominium and apartment development, by New Orleans developer Mohan Kailas.
