Dorset Square is a garden square in Marylebone, London. All buildings fronting it are terraced houses and listed, in the mainstream (initial) category. It takes up the site of Lord's (MCC's) Old Cricket Ground, which lasted 23 years until the 1811 season. Internally it spans 100,000 square feet (9,290 m2).

Lord's Old Ground was a cricket venue in London that was established by Thomas Lord in 1787. It was used mainly by Marylebone Cricket Club for major matches until 1810, after which a dispute about rent caused Lord to relocate.

The Balcombe Street siege was an incident involving members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) and London's Metropolitan Police lasting from 6 to 12 December 1975. The Metropolitan Borough of St Marylebone was a metropolitan borough of the County of London from 1900 to 1965. It was based directly on the previously existing civil parish of St Marylebone, which was incorporated into the Metropolitan Board of Works area in 1855, retaining a parish vestry, and then became part of the County of London in 1889. It was that part of the current City of Westminster which is north of Oxford Street, and east of Maida Vale and Edgware Road. It included the areas Marylebone, Regent's Park, St John's Wood, and Lisson Grove, along with the western part of the district of Fitzrovia. In 1965 it was abolished and its former area was amalgamated with that of the Metropolitan Borough of Paddington and the Metropolitan Borough of Westminster to form the City of Westminster.

Marylebone Town Hall, also known as the Westminster Council House, is a municipal building on Marylebone Road in Marylebone, London. The complex includes the council chamber, the Westminster Register Office and an educational facility known as the Sammy Ofer Centre. It is a Grade II listed building.

Dorset House is an apartment block in Marylebone in the City of Westminster. It is a noted example of Art Deco architecture and has been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England since March 1998. Dorset House occupies an entire block and is listed at the addresses of 128-130 Gloucester Place, 148-168 Marylebone Road, 1-9 Glentworth Street and 31-37 Melcombe Street.It was designed by the architects T P Bennett and Son under the architect Joseph Emberton for the property developer Claude Leigh. It was completed in 1935. Dorset House features reliefs by the sculptor and designer Eric Gill.An English Heritage blue plaque for the filmmakers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger was erected on Dorset House in 2014.

Clarence Gate Gardens, also known as Clarence Gate Mansions, are Edwardian, Arts and Crafts and Art-Nouveau-inspired mansion blocks next to Regent's Park in Marylebone, London.

Gloucester Place is a street in Marylebone in Central London. Located in the City of Westminster, it runs north from Portman Square across the Marylebone Road eventually merging into Park Road. It is parallel to Baker Street to the east and forms part of the A41 road from nearby Marble Arch. The Portman Estate was developed into grids of streets for affluent residential housing from the mid-eighteenth century. Gloucester Place was named after the Duke of Gloucester, younger brother of George III. The street has largely kept its original Georgian character. For some of the route the street is paralleled by Gloucester Place Mews to the west. Once part of the mews stabling for the houses, it now consists of independent dwellings. The 1935 art deco Dorset House apartment block was completed in 1935 at the junction with Marylebone Road. On the opposite corner of the junction is the neo classical Marylebone Town Hall the side of which faces onto Gloucester Place. Notable historic residents have included Mary Anne Clarke the mistress of Frederick, Duke of York and the American General Benedict Arnold. Novelist Wilkie Collins lived at 65 Gloucester Place where a blue plaque commemorates him. Another blue plaque appears on Dorset House where Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger's film production company was headquartered during the 1940s.

St Cyprian's Church is a parish church of the Church of England in the Marylebone district of London. The church was consecrated in 1903, but the parish was founded in 1866. It is dedicated to Cyprian, a third-century martyr and bishop of Carthage and is near the Clarence Gate Gardens entrance to Regent's Park, off Baker Street. The present church was designed by Ninian Comper and is a Grade II* listed building.

The Landmark London is a five-star hotel on Marylebone Road on the northern side of central London, England, in the City of Westminster. It was originally opened by the Great Central Railway, as the Hotel Great Central. As one of London's railway hotels it declined after the advent of the motor car, and served as a military convalescent home during the Second World War, and later the headquarters of the British Railways Board. It reopened as a hotel in 1993.
