Barrell Homestead

The Isabella Breckinridge House also known as River House, and formerly the Breckinridge Public Affairs Center of Bowdoin College, is a historic house at 201 US Route 1 in York, Maine, United States. The main house, designed by architect Guy Lowell, is a 23-room mansion which was built in 1905 for Mary Goodrich, widow of tire magnate B. F. Goodrich. It is located on a 26-acre (11 ha) estate facing the York River. The property was given to Bowdoin College by Mary Marvin Breckinridge Patterson in 1974, and the college operated it as a conference center until it was sold into private hands in 2004. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is one of Maine's most architecturally distinctive and unusual early 20th-century summer estate houses.

The McIntire Garrison House is a historic house on Cider Hill Road (Maine State Route 91) in York, Maine. Built c. 1707, it is an extremely rare well-preserved example of a New England colonial log garrison house, built by settlers for defense against Native American attacks. The house, possibly the oldest in the state, was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1968.

Weathervane Seafood Restaurants is a seafood chain in New England. It was founded in Kittery, Maine, in 1969 by Raymond and Bea Gagner. It is based in Kittery, Maine. The chain has five locations, with one in Kittery, Maine and four in New Hampshire; Dover, Chichester, West Lebanon, and a seasonal location on Weirs Beach in Laconia.

The Frost Garrison and House are a cluster of colonial-era buildings on Garrison Drive in Eliot, Maine. Sited on Frost's Hill, the complex includes a c. 1778 house, and two structures, the oldest dating to 1735, constructed as strongholds against Native American attacks. The older one is the only known surviviving garrison built for the defense of a single family. The house is also the ancestral home of poet Robert Frost, who is known to have visited the area. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. His niece, Mara Frost Marshall, was also born there.

The John Sedgley Homestead is a historic homestead property at Scituate and Chases Pond Road in the York Corner area of York, Maine. Its oldest structure built in the late First Period, probably c. 1715, it is the oldest homestead in the State of Maine that is still in its original setting. Historically the homestead included a cape, farm home, carriage house, stables building, two outbuildings, and a large land holding, all of which is still existing today. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Spruce Creek is a 5.25 miles (8.45 km) long tidal creek in York County, Maine beginning in Eliot, Maine and flows to the Atlantic ocean in Kittery, Maine. The creek drops 60 feet (18 m) from the headwaters and flows south and southeasterly direction through the heavily populated town of Kittery before emptying into 2.5 square miles (6.5 km2) of clam flats and joining the Piscataqua River.The town of Kittery has a volunteer organization whose mission is to protect the watershed and help to restore water quality. The Spruce Creek Association was established more than ten years ago and actively monitors sources of bacteria and has implemented best management practice for water pollution for residential, commercial, and municipal properties in the creek watershed area.

Rock Rest is a historic house and African-American traveler's accommodation at 167 Brave Boat Harbor Road in Kittery, Maine. The property was operated as a summer guest house by Clayton and Hazel Sinclair between 1946 and 1977, and is one of the few known places in Maine that explicitly welcomed African-American guests in an era when racial discrimination in public accommodations was common. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

The John Hancock Warehouse is a historic warehouse at 136 Lindsay Street in York, Maine. Built in the 18th century, the small warehouse is notable for its association with Massachusetts politician John Hancock. It is the oldest known commercial structure in the state of Maine. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 2, 1969. It is now a museum property owned by Museums of Old York.

Bedell Crossing is an unincorporated village in Kittery, York County, Maine, United States.

The Kittery Community Center is located in the former Frank C. Frisbee Elementary School at 120 Rogers Road in Kittery, Maine. The building, built in 1943 by the United States government as part of war-related expansions of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015 for this association. It served Kittery as a school until 2009, and was converted for use as a multi-function community center providing space for arts, culture, and recreational activities in 2011-12.
